"One of the most popular beaches in Los Cabos , Playa el Médano is considered the safest for swimming. It's also quite long, offering lots of space for sunbathers to lay out a towel for the day. Those are two reasons why it attracts the crowds; another is Medano's reputation for a party atmosphere. The beach's proximity to downtown Cabo San Lucas makes it easy to hop onto the sand, order a margarita or a michelada (a beer-based Mexican concoction) and take part in the local scene."

Very nice sand and clear water, it is a very pretty beach. There are many many peddlers selling their wares so not a lot of peace to yourself on this beach. We had a hard and impossible time trying to find a decent Margarita for under 20$ dollars.

Umbrellas for the day $15, chairs available as well. Restaurants will serve you on the beach. Parking $3 get wayer taxi cheap to arch or marina, wave runners, glass bottom tours, parasail, vendors galore.....

Great local beach with great view and some shady places to get out of sun if you don't want to rent an umbrella. Locals coming by with some yummy snacks or if your not hungry you can get a quick massage. I recommend the massage.

Beautiful beach. But if you are planning to do surf fishing I recommend going on the Pacific side instead toward Suspiro Beach near the Hard Rock Hotel. I fished Medano beach almost each day while staying in RIU. I caught some fish but nothing big all under 3lbs. Small roosters and jacks. The trick is to cast incredibly far with lures over 1.5oz and retrieve fast. If you want to catch larger size you'll need to head on the Pacific side.

In a Google search, this came in as number 6 on the best seven swimming beaches in Cabo, I's definitely swimmable and the location is picturesque, but It definitely smells like urine as some other people have said in their reviews and the constant bombardment of someone trying to sell you something is quite annoying. I would not return to this beach if in Cabo again

Very nice beach, we had a family day out and spent a few hours. It was relaxing. Also a good thing is there are a few restaurants on the beach and the waiters come take the order and deliver it to you.

The blue water is the first thing to catch your eyes! Deep blue colors of different shades, what a tropical place should look like! The down side to this beach is the slope and very course sand. It’s nice to walk along this stretch of beach from the marina all the way to the rock outcropping. You pass many resorts, vendors and all the sights in between. Heading towards the rock outcropping gives the best opportunity to see the arch. The slope to the beach and contour of the ocean floor leads this to have strong waves along the shore. The water in the ocean is typically warm enough to swim. You simply need to time the rush of the waves to enter and exit. Pay attention and it’s not for the faint of heart, as the ocean often will roll tourists after knocking their feet out from beneath them. There is a ton of power and daily you can see someone swept off their feet. If you’re not up for the challenge stay by the pool and watch the ocean from your lounger or the beach.

Water was calm . Vendors can be annoying. They are just doing their job , I understand, but it takes a little out of your enjoyment of the beach .
