"The head winemaker at Eikendal in Stellenbosch, Nico Grobler has been producing award-winning wines for more than nine years. An innovator in the Western Cape wine industry, he makes mostly single varietal wines like chardonnay, using an “old world” approach that focuses on terroir to produce the fruitiest vines possible. The whole family is welcome at Eikendal. While adults enjoy a pizza and wine pairing, children can partake in a juice tasting of their own. On a nice day, visitors can also take a 1.5-mile self-guided walk around the vineyards to learn more about the winemaking process and the farm itself."

We had a lovely event at Eikendal. Chantal-Lee and her team effortlessly made us feel very welcome and special. Thank you for your friendly and exceptional service! As a group we enjoyed the classic wine tasting and delicious pizzas from Giovanni’s. We ended off the celebrations with a tractor ride on the beautiful farm. We would highly recommend Eikendal for an event. 🥂

Had a wonderful time tonight with friends here today. Had the pizza and pasta and salad. Pizza are really great. The salad is a good portion and fresh and amazing The pasta was amazing and the kids enjoyed it.

Our visit to Eikendal Wine Estate was fantastic, even without a wine tasting that day. We enjoyed a bottle of their Charisma, which was absolutely delicious, as was their pizza. With so many pizza places around, it’s rare to find one that truly wows you—but this one did! Add to everything fabulous service, this was a casual yet unforgettable experience!

My visit to Eikendal was a delight, from the wine tasting to the insightful cellar tour. A lovely restaurant at the wine farm. The food was well prepared and absolutely delicious. It's a scenic drive to the venue and the restaurant is set in an idyllic location. It has views of the surrounding mountains in Stellenbosch, a pond, Table Mountain and small view of False Bay. The prices are very reasonable and they even have an area for young kids. They offer tractor rides and have picnic spots near the pond. The Eikendal chardonnay is a lovely smooth wine and definitely recommend it. Booking is essential otherwise you won't get a table and the kitchen closes at 4pm.

Wine tasting 5 stars, restaurant food 1 star. We went today and we had lasagna and cannelloni, well, the lasagna's mince it was like spread mince and cannelloni had a terrible taste similar to powder. Originally Cannelloni does not have tomato and both of them have bechamel (tip to the "chef"). If we were looking for a frozen food we could buy in any supermarket and make it at home. You must go for the wines (lovely) and don't even think to eat in the restaurant.
