East Village Organic

On the rare occasion I start feeling a bit under the weather, I always slide over to East Village Organic to heal me. Something about overpaying for organic vegetables really makes me feel better. It's a small mom & pop grocery store with all produce 100% USDA Organic. Certified. Stamp that. They have ready made salads and soup, and I usually go with the 7oz Kale & Quinoa salad that runs me $6.49. HURTS the pockets. The fact the Kale isn't even organic in the ready made salad though...idk. I really come in here for the best ingredients possible for my locally world famous Strawberry Salad. I get a pack of 5oz organic baby butter lettuce ($4.49), a pack of organic strawberries ($6), and the secret ingredient that I can't tell you... okay fine it's a real, quality white vinegar. A good white vinegar goes so far, but the mainstream media won't tell you that. People are running here to try the Erewhon dupe coconut cloud smoothie, but their smoothies have never really done it for me, idk. NYC smoothie culture is lacking. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

This place is a fantastic organic market 🛒 and juice bar!🧃East Village Organic offers a wonderful selection of organic products, vegetables 🍅, canned goods 🥫, juices, and more! Definitely try the Erewhon-style viral Coco 🥥 Cloud ☁️ Smoothie! 🥤 Service is quick ⏲️ and the staff 👨‍🍳 is friendly! I wish I knew about this place earlier!

Worse experience!! It’s super small and tight nowhere to wait for the juice. The guy who was preparing the juice had poor attitute and service. He doesn’t allow you to stand there to watch him prepare and gets so offended by that. This is my first ever experience where they don’t allow you to wait and watch them make your food..Where did they expect the customers to wait in such a small space? Not to mention, the service is damn slow.. Clearly employees needed more hospitality training in this organic supermarket. This is not the only place in this area to get better juice and quality foods. Be grateful the locals give you business..Go elsewhere for better quality juice like juice vitality and even better service..

guys the smoothie bar closes at 6pm 😭 don’t try to go after 6 i haven’t actually drank the smoothie yet due to my failed attempt so ill update w that later ok update i got it and it was INTERESTING im still not sure if i like it or dislike it but the store was rlly cute and employees were nice

Best smoothie in NYC! The staff is always awesome and ALI IS THE BEST. Love all of the variety of fresh produce and premade foods. Gluten Free heaven!! 10/10

Overall a great grocery store. Fresh produce along with snacks, fresh made juices, smoothies and soups. My gf is obsessed with the broccoli cheddar soup. Staff is always friendly which is a bonus.

As seen on cable news network Fox 5, I am a true testament to how mediocre these viral, coco cloud smoothies are. Alas, a mediocre smoothie would receive a mediocre score, right? That would be true if the strawberry lemonade smoothie - not shown on national news network Fox 5 - was not a total affront on my taste buds and mental stability. It was the acidic cup of lemon juice deceptively colored orange with carrot juice that made me turn around and ask for a new smoothie. Generously, the kind man gave me a new coco cloud smoothie - mediocre still but better - at which point this review would easily be a 3 or 4 star. HOWEVER, the very snarky women cutting up strawberries with her eye rolls and dismissive attitude landed them at a measly 2 star review. Will not be back and discouraging anyone who will listen. Save your $15, go to your local Dave and Busters and win a Hamilton Beach smoothie maker and enjoy better smoothies.

Love this place! The groceries are definitely pricey, but I find that the smoothies are particularly worth the bang for your buck. Had their golden Tumeric smoothie this morning and it was fantastic. Really healthy blends across the board.
