Dvorni Bar

Spent a wonderful afternoon at Dvorni Bar. The staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable about Slovenian wines. They continually made excellent recommendations and took us on a wonderful journey. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have been to this place for several years. Hands down the best wine and tapas bar in Ljubljana. They have a good selection that makes sense, staff is informed and know their wine. So, you can always try interesting wine even without knowing a lot. (Wine tasting with Boris can help :) with that) I feel always welcome and special here. Zoja and Veronika were very kind, friendly and competent. I will continue to come and bring people here. 10/10

Everything about this place is great. The wine is great, the olives and nibbles are fantastic, the service is fine, the ambience is great too, and the prices are fine. This gets three stars though because of the high heels image next to the ladies toilets. Don’t reinforce the patriarchy. Change the sign and it’s definite 4 stars.

Reviews indicated this wine/tapas bar had an excellent selection of wines by the glass. They were spot on and the waiter recommended a couple of dry, bold reds from Slovenia. One was a cab/merlot blend the other a cab. Both were excellent though I chose to have an additional glass of the cab. I had the local specialty Kranjska sausage with mustard and horseradish. It was not so impressive as our guide said it was. This is no fault of the restaurant, I just think I would select a different dish next time. They have a varied and lengthy menu. I have been impressed with the Croatian and Slovenian red wines on this trip. Outdoor seating on this lovely day was a plus.

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I had lunch at Dvorni Bar, a cozy place but with a disappointing experience. We ordered a rare steak, but it was served medium-cooked and, besides being overcooked, the meat was not particularly tasty. The waiting times were long, and although the waiter offered to cook it again, we had to decline due to the urgency to leave. The service was good, and the staff was friendly, and to apologize, they didn’t charge us two glasses of wine on the bill. the two glasses of wine in the bill. Despite the gesture, the mistake and the wait ruined the experience.

As an Aussie we love our wine bars. This does not disappoint! We had some great local wines.. Staff are so friendly and engaging..just note that smoking is allowed ( at all venues) outside so if that bothers soak up the atmosphere inside.👍

Its close to river, very limited castle view but very very good ambiance. Sweet white vine was very delicious and really sweet. It was 5,8€ for a glass.

Great spot to come for lunch or the evening for delicious nibbles and a fantastic selection of wine. Nice location near the water too
