Dovetail Cafe & Marketplace

A true gem in Duluth. I come to this cafe nearly every time I'm around. It's my favorite to just chill out in. Love the laid back vibe, lovely wood, and cool aesthetic. Employees are very polite and helpful, and know how to make a good Latte. ☕

Great food and lovely atmosphere. Amazing coffee. How do they get that design on the top?!

It's been a long time since going to a restaurant and eating something that I thought was really good. I had their burrito bowl and it was just perfect. It made me happy eating it. This is such a lovely place to hang out. I love the fact that they have craft classes there and the environment is so welcoming and casual and warm.

I was surprised how spacious it was inside. There are a few dining sections, some of which are suitable for working on your laptop and others for groups. A quiche, a bagel sandwich, a rice bowl were all great. I saw some interesting tap beer options on the menu so I would love to come back to try some next time. Their large brick wall gives an impression of being in a warehouse and I think it would be awesome to see some artwork by local artists there.

An aesthetically cute and cozy place to enjoy your breakfast and coffee. The Affogato is strong yet sweet for the amount they give you. The breakfast food is excellent and great to start out your morning with. We got the Duluth traverse and the Skyline and both were more than enough for our morning breakfast. They come with a side of salad and the salad was great. The employees are very nice and helpful. There are items in this place to purchase coffee, stickers, gifts, pictures and much more, so we'd recommend walking around and looking at the neat items they have on sale. The bathrooms are very well kept and clean. Parking is easy but limited. You can parking around the block if you cannot find parking in the street. Overall, an excellent place to relax at after a long day OR an excellent start to a long day to get energized for the day. We came here when Duluth Grill was too busy and it was 100% worth it!

The food and drinks were delicious. We had the quiche of the day, the poolside latte (seasonal special, highly recommend), the chia custard, and cafe au lait. All were delicious.

Not too busy on a chilly weekend day. Tons of room for a quick stop or a study session and the interior is very aesthetic/cozy. Small food menu but the plates looked generous for a coffee place. The market has some very cute local crafts/art.
