This is the best Korean restaurant I've been to in Canada and I've dined extensively across the country at a variety of Korean establishments.
This isn't Korean BBQ, this is the real shit. If you want food more like what you'd actually eat in South Korea, this is the place to go.

If you’d like to feel the real hole-in-the-wall Korean pub, Don day is the closest in Calgary! Their space is small, which I think kinda adds the amazing secret pub in an alley way vibes. The service was okay but some of their alcohol (Soju and K-beers) are always out of stock. Food is great too and we just let them cook our grilled pork belly in their kitchen cause we don’t have enough space in our table. I think they should add a ‘coat hanger’ inside. There’s nothing inside the restaurant and we had to put our big fluffy coats on our laps while eating. Anyways, we’re coming back again next time to try more of their foods!

Everything we ordered tasted amazing. The gamjatang (pork bone soup) is huge, flavorful and can be shared between 4 people. The spicy soft tofu soup had the perfect amount of heat. Seafood pancake was delicious. Loved the honey rice roll dish, not sure what it was called exactly. Nice and sweet and had a crispy outer texture while soft inside.

This is one of my most favorite places to go for Korean BBQ Pork Intestines. And they just updated a new menu combo w 8 dishes like the picture and they’r great if u want to try lots of food but don’t know what to order. It’s $28/person and u have to order at least 2 sets.

No parking lot, the food is way over priced, tasting was not good, no hood fan for bbq.
We ordered seafood pancake (18$) and pork belly with corn cheese (38$). Seafood pancake was just onion, green onion, and flour didn’t taste any seafood. For the pork belly, it came out exactly like in the photo, the portions was not enough for 2 or 3 people as the menu recommended. The pork was bland, not seasoned or marinated as other Korean restaurants I went to. The side dish was a disappointment, only 3 side dish with very little portion for 2, compare to other Korean restaurants which has at least 4+ side dishes. We smelled like bbq after the meal because there was no hood fan at the restaurant.

First time I came with my cousin. I've passed this place many times but never went in because it seemed skeptical from the outside. Went in yesterday, the interior is very old and a small place. The washroom felt like I was in a different country. When we got our menus, I was surprised how expensive the food was, but it was good for 2. We ordered the bulgogi soup. THE SOUP WAS AMAZING and the portion is huge! We ended up taking out the rest. Even though it's expensive- the portion and the taste made up for it. I would definitely come back!

Ordered the pork belly for 2. The portion was crazy small. The experience was a big disappointment! Especially after all the hype I heard about the place. I mean I love the Apron and it’s owned by the same individual. The taste was not bbq but just grill fried and very little to no rosemary or thyme; to add to that I paid extra for potatoes and got 8 slices and most of them small. Only may 1 whole mushroom in the dish, and don’t get me started on the amount of pork. Mostly I paid $42 dollars for a fried onion. I’m sorry this dish could have been done at home for a lot less and much larger positions size. Nothing about the flavour seem really Korean.
