"Rugged Island Panorama Behind one of the most popular surf spots in Rincon is a breathtaking view of the northwest coast of PR. Domes Beach during fall/winter will be packed with surfers, but if you want to enjoy the location without being slapped by boards or crowds, then take the short dirt walk behind the "dome" (old nuclear center) and hike along the raised seawall for a gorgeous and unobstructed view of the rugged, lush, tropical cliffside and the waters below. You can take this trail all the way to Pools Beach (in Puntas, the upper part of Rincon) and watch more surfers pick off waves in another great surf spot. A great wave beach, but, as others said, watch for rocks and sharpness at the shore. We took surfing lessons here, and the guide was patient and lovely, but they had had a storm a couple of days prior and the sea was brown/green and cloudy, not blue. He said it was normally quite clear. We also did not have the waves he expected or wanted. For a beginner, that was fine. But you could tell he was a bit disappointed in wave quality. But the main thing is that the rocks on shore were a bit of a challenge to navigate carrying a board into the water. And if we did wipe out close to shore then we got a few scrapes on our feet from the rocks.

This is a really cool beach! It is mostly meant for surfing because it is too wavy to swim. But definitely worth spending some time here especially during sunset, to watch the surfers!

It's an OK beach, but there was a lot of trash when we were there. Also, wear footwear when you go in the water, there are sea urchins close to the shore and they can be painful.

Good beach but no public restrooms. Close to light house. Not much waves. Parking is little tricky but you can get on road sides. Lot of shops and fresh fruits shop.

Low key beautiful surfer beach. Mostly meant for surfing but you won't be chased out for dipping your toe in the water. Soft grainy sand. Plenty of shady areas for those that don't want to be in the sun. No on beach vendors but there is a snack stand at the lighthouse walk. Close to other sites; Plenty to do for a day trip.

Definitely should put that on your must visit list when you come to Rincon and Puerto Rico in general! The pictures do not do it justice!

Great for surfers, not so much for swimming. Still had fun playing on the beach and on the swing. Beautiful turquoise water... and the lighthouse was just up the street.
