"Frédéric Chopin was born in 1810 in a small 19th-century manor house in the town of Żelazowa Wola. While his family moved to Warsaw soon after his birth, he often returned to Żelazowa Wola for holidays, and his home—not to mention the sights and sounds of the surrounding Mazovian countryside—are said to have influenced his early music. Today, his house functions as a museum, and is surrounded by a serene, beautifully landscaped park. As you wander the home, imagine the concerts Chopin used to give as a young man on a grand piano that he placed under the linden trees in the garden. Reportedly, farmers from the area would join his family and friends to listen to him play. If you can, time your visit to coincide with one of the Chopin concerts, which are held every summer weekend on the terrace at noon and 3 p.m."
Where was ‘A Real Pain’ Filmed? All the locations from Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin’s Polish Road Trip Movie
Revisited by Eisenberg years before writing the film, the home of Poland’s greatest composer became an important artistic influence even though it does not appear as a physical location in the movie. Returning to Chopin’s work to score the film, he found that the music gave the story a sophisticated, slightly ‘removed’ tone that shaped the entire mood of A Real Pain; during editing, he and the editor felt that placing Chopin pieces in the right moments revealed ‘the tone of the movie’, underscoring the house’s indirect but significant impact on the film’s atmosphere. - Phil de Semlyen
Lovely place, very charming. With a beautiful garden to walk around or sit on a bench underneath a tree. Very recommend their live music concerts during its season (May-September).

I visited in January.
Admission is free on Mondays.
I was able to see the house where Chopin actually lived.
There were portraits of Chopin and a piano on display, and I was also able to visit the extensive garden.
It was very inaccessible and took about 40 minutes by taxi from Warsaw.

Amazing place that is full of history. Really well kept. Plenty of gardens around. The cinema shows a moxie about the life of Chopin. The birth house holds a history of Chopin family and holds some old furniture.

A great place to go and a “must have” while visiting Warsaw.
First -the place were Chopin was born
Second - open piano concerts, especially worth listening in the spring or summer while there is so beautiful outside.
Third - the park which surround the house. Stunning.
Overall the place is essential. Go and you will not regret it.

Amazing garden to walk around. They had all native species of plants and trees. Definitely a place to visit. I was a little sad about the concert as the pianist was inside and they played it through speakers outside but it was a great performance.

If you love Chopin’s music and curious to get to know his early life, come here to the house where the great artist was born. It’s a small house showing the Chopin’s family life. The house is quite beautiful surrounded by a big wonderful green park where you can listen to the Chopin’s music. The tickets you can buy just directly at the spot, to visit museum on Saturday is possible after 4 pm. There is a nice cafe where you can drink a good coffee and eat something. Just 50 min from Warsaw.
