"This inviting bar on the Plateau is open every day of the week and serves a nice selection local brews, but most days (as in 300 a year) it also offers live music for your listening pleasure. The raised stage at the back of the long space projects quality sound throughout the locale, though you can still ignore the party if you’re into a private chat at a window table. Small tables at the sides of the stage are great for quieter acts, though people usually choose to stand and dance – this is Montreal , after all. Divan Orange is a great venue for seeing small indie acts, with both locals and visitors representing – and it’s a cornerstone location for festivals like Pop Montreal, M for Montreal and Coup de Coeur Francophone. Go for a dinner of Portuguese roast chicken in the neighborhood before catching an act like Patrick Watson, Yann Perreau, Beast or United Steel Workers of Montreal."

They have kombucha on tap. The acoustics were great and the band we saw was amazing.

I've been there a few times for shows. Nice cold beers. Great venue. I'm short, so for the last show that I attended, I stood on the benches against the wall. I was there recently for a Japanese music tour. Really cool. The man who organizes it says that they should pass again in October. I hope to bring my boyfriend with me. I had so much fun. The crowd was awesome and so were the bands.

Stage is really nice ! Sound is great. Beer menu is also great. They got a good selection of micro brasserie beer. My only concern, and also the why I'm giving 4 stars is, their table was really dirty due to dried beer left uncleaned during the whole night, Bathroom sink & toilets broken and last, doormen or ( security wtv, ) having this over the top attitude and basically just slammed a door over my face for none reason. Despite all of this , I got a nice experience, both time , ( it wasn't my first show at this place and neither my last ! I would go for a concert without hesitation. Also , thank you for sharing and be part of locals artist by sharing and offering paints on your walls !!!

Be forewarned: this is a cash-only bar. Decent beer selection, though the top shelf hard liquor seems to stop at Jameson, so go for the mixed drinks if you're not a beer fan. Good acoustics - saw a show with three bands and never had a problem hearing any of them.

More of a bar/club. Even though there are tables to sit down, it is impossible to have a group conversation unless you are all shouting! Small cover charge. We went on a Saturday night and they were playing really good disco/funk/soul music! 👌

Small place, typical small bar atmosphere. Dimly lit and music was cranked way loud for some reason. Caught a live act here and the high notes would hurt my teeth. They host awesome acts here though and the door and bar staff were super friendly and polite. Good place to catch some indie music!

This place is really awesome, lots of cool people, bar service is fast and reasonable for the area. The only complaint I have is their audio mixer always keeps the music incredibly loud. I understand that's a thing, you're supposed to make the music loud, but it's particularly loud in this space with no regard for hearing damage. I had to shove napkins in my ears just to stay inside.

Very nice place and live performances of indie bands like no other places. But the sound quality is not below to be poor, is dangerous. I got to be acouphène after a show there. It destroyed my ears and it should not be like that. Very very bad sound in terms that is just stupidly loud and no good quality. Hope they fix that.
