"More than 500 acres of parkland, stretching between Bondi Junction and the CBD, is carved with ponds, punctuated by playgrounds, and blanketed in gardens and trees. Keep your eyes peeled for horses, parrots, and cockatoos during the day and thousands of flying foxes—giant bats—circling the figs, oaks, and Norfolk pines around sunset in the warmer months. The park is popular among joggers, walkers, cyclists, horse riders, and rollerbladers, many of whom flock to the flat 2.3-mile Grand Drive loop, which circles the park. From December to April, don’t miss Moonlight Cinema, where you can watch outdoor movies on beanbag chairs set to the soundtrack of birds and bats."
