Deer Mountain Inn

Exceptional. This place is just a gem. I can't emphasize enough the exceptional quality and operation of this place. I've stayed several times, and nothing in the area even touches the quality and value of DMI. The main house and cabins are wonderfully, timelessly appointed, they're so comfortable and cozy, you really don't want to leave. They have some how effortlessly created a place where we you want to do everything and nothing all at the same time. The property is gorgeous, and perfectly located that it makes you feel secluded from everything while also being accessible, close to hiking trails, skiing, close to town (although why would you even leave the property!). This is my go-to place for quiet, restoration and inspiration, finding respite in the countless spots to stare out at the woods, sit by the fire, sit on a bench outside or just staying in bed. There's something to enjoy every season, and every part of the property. The restaurant is one of my absolute favorites, I'm always thrilled to be surprised what will be on the menu, and love having the assurance of whatever they offer is done at such a high level, including where they source their ingredients. The cocktails are killer! and the service staff are some of the kindest, personable, service-passionate professionals I've had the pleasure of knowing.

We booked a 2-night stay in January in one of the cabins. Although we live only 30 minutes away, it felt like a true escape. The location/landscape is really beautiful, and the cabin and Inn itself incredibly cozy and comfortable. We hiked the trails on property with our dog and hung out in the Attic playing board games and sitting by the fire. The Attic was my favorite part, because you feel like you’re staying over at someone’s chic but super welcoming home. Other guests would come in wearing socks to play pool or watch movies and the whole experience feels very intimate and easy, but still elevated. Service was warm, approachable and friendly; dinner was great. We can’t wait to come back to experience it in spring!

Perfect in every way. Spent 5 days there for our daughter’s wedding. The event planning was seamless and within 5 minutes of getting to the inn after the ceremony everyone was so impressed with how elegant everything looked. |No matter what we needed the staff was right there to help. |Accommodations were perfect for our group. Really everything from the delicious breakfast, cozy setting, fireplaces…. Everything is set up to make for a relaxing but luxury experience. |Highest recommendations go to deer mountain inn. I had to leave a review after the wonderful experience we had dining at Deer Mountain Inn (DMI). My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt cared for. When we arrived there was a note on the table acknowledging the special occasion and our server, Steven, pour us a celebratory glass of some bubbly. He was very attentive and super knowledgable about the menu - making all of our food and drink choices a breeze. As we neared the end of our meal, he made informed us that a cozy spot by the fireplace had opened up and suggested we move over there before he bring us our next round of drinks. The interior is cozy and warm and although it was our first time visiting we felt right at home. While we did not spend the night, we will definitely be back to do so. Thank you Deer Mountain Inn and Steven for making our celebration so memorable. The food was delicious and the drinks were carefully crafted. Congratulations Deer Mountain Inn, you are officially on of my must-visits any time I come to Tannersville.

As a wedding photographer who has photographed over 400 weddings, Deer Mountain Inn is one of my absolute fave venues to work at (and to stay at!). Couples I work with who marry at DMI always rave about their experience, the quality of the food, the cozy vibes that surround them and their guests. If you are looking for a mountain getaway with ALL the vibes, Deer Mountain Inn is it! Absolutely go check it out!

I absolutely adored the ambiance at Deer Mountain Inn for dinner on a picturesque fall evening. The Ralph Lauren-esque vibes create a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that truly captures the essence of the season. We were thrilled to find that the restaurant is dog-friendly and our dog was even greeted with a homemade treat from the chef! The food was nothing short of delicious, as were the cocktails. I can’t wait to return and experience a stay on the property in the future.

we went for my boyfriends birthday and they were nothing but kind and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was to die for. I got the squash soup which was the best soup Ive ever had and I am a soup girl. My boyfriend got the wagu and said he’s never had anything like it. Highly recommend if your in that area!!
