Dear Breakfast - Alfama

Dear Breakfast exceeded all our expectations! The team was great and lovely, making us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful, with every bite being a delight. Their coffee was pure perfection – a true highlight of our visit. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here, not just for the food and coffee, but also for the unique and beautiful ambiance. The atmosphere was cozy yet stylish, adding to the overall experience.

We saw great reviews for Deer Breakfast, but I had no idea it was a chain restaurant. There are a few different locations around Lisboa and while the food is good, I wouldn’t say it’s amazing. Our location was pretty cool and the service was very good. We sat outside, which was nice although it’s on an incline so your table isn’t completely flat. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the layout is decent, although there are two separate rooms inside. I had the egg sandwich which was pretty good and my wife had the avocado toast which she enjoyed. The coffee was just OK. Overall, a good breakfast place.

(4.5/5) Favourite breakfast place yet, after trying a few we had breakfast here everyday. Open and friendly staff, all attentive. They’re quick but not hasty. Dear Breakfast is a chain, this location is superior though, in my opinion. Food is great too, presentation is on point and for once it tastes as good as looks. Enough options on the menu, but not too many. I can highly recommend the Turkish eggs (but bring a mint) and the Halloumi pancake, make sure to ask for an extra slice of sourdough because you don’t want the sauce to go to waste. There is only one bathroom so expect a line, but mind you it’s a historic building, it’s the best they can do.

This morning, we enjoyed breakfast at "Dear Breakfast." Despite a small queue upon arrival, we were seated within 5 minutes. The service was prompt, with our order taken shortly after. We both opted for the avocado toast—mine without feta—though the other serving could have used a bit more feta. That said, the food was excellent, and the coffee was just as impressive. The only minor quirk was the orange juice being served in a metal cup, which felt a bit odd, but aside from that, the experience was top-notch. It's definitely worth a visit!

Great place for breakfast or brunch, everything was so fresh and delicious, great option also for eating healthy. The avo toast was so good, that’s how every avocado toast should look like. I also had the juice with beetroot carrots & ginger and it was super tasty. Will come back!

Staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the coffee shop was super chill and had a nice vibe and was located in a good area. The breakfast food was good, standard yogurt parfait, the croissant and detox juice was one of the nicest I’ve had but for me the scrambled eggs lacked flavour even after putting salt and pepper on it. Definitely recommend going.
