Dayan Pagoda South Square

The Dayan Pagoda Northern Square in Xi'an is indeed a bustling hub of activity, even on weekdays. Known for hosting the world's largest musical fountain, the square is a blend of modern attractions and cultural elements. The vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by the spectacular lighting displays at night, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Surrounding the square are hotels, shopping malls, and a variety of shops selling local items, art, and cultural artifacts. Street food vendors add to the experience, offering a taste of local cuisine. The square is a great place to immerse yourself in the cultural and social life of Xi'an, with plenty of activities and sights to explore.

This place is great to visit at night! It has lots of pretty lights and the whole area is full of people dressed in traditional clothes taking photos with the background

It's a nice large square that always has people in it, so the street theater potential is high. At night, when we came back by for the light show, there was a large group of older women dancing with feathers. Most entertaining.

Great place to take photos, lots of statues, lights and performers at night, not for those who don't like the glitzy touristy stuff, but if you do, by gosh there's a whole bunch of it. Nice place to take a picture of the Pagoda even if you don't approve of commercialism.

It's amazing square special in the evening with all lights on. It represents Tang dynasty glory with modern twist. Good for night life ect.

Visually spectacular and amazing atmosphere.

대안탑은 자은사 내에 있는 높이 64.5m의 7층탑으로 삼장법사 현장이 인도에서 가져 온 불경을 보관하기 위해 인도 양식으로 만든 7층 누각 탑이랍니다. 금요일 밤에 대당불야성도보거리에서 현장법사와 대안탑을 배경으로 찍어 봤습니다. 아쉽게도 대안탑에 입장하지 못하고 먼거리에서 대안탑 야경모습으로 만족 해야만 했습니다. 서유기에 나오는 삼장법사와 손오공, 사오정, 저팔개는 소설 속에 나오는 이야기이고 실제론 서안(장안)에서 천축국으로 가기 위해서는 함양을 거쳐 만리장성의 서쪽 끝 가욕관 ~ 돈황(막고굴이 있는 곳으로 불교의 보고) ~ 고비사막을 지나 천축국에 이르게 될 것입니다. 이 길을 유홍준이 '나의문화유산 답사기-중국편'에서도 고행의 길로 표현하는데 삼장법사가 다녀올 당시 인도행 은 그 자체로 목숨을 건 고행이요 수행의 길이 아닐까 생각하게 됩니다.
