There was also a volleyball court and an area with exercising stations to work out. What I love the most is the rubber trail around the park through all the big beautiful trees. The trial feels nice and soft for your feet and knees. Parking lot is small but free. I'm not sure if there was public restrooms.

There's even a place to buy your lemonade. Note: Only cash accepted.

Good place to get in a short run. Path is kinda spongy, which is nice for old legs. They have a little workout area for pull-ups, dips, and other body weight work. They have lights also, so you can work out before the sun is up to avoid the FL heat. 5 stars if it were a bigger area.

I miss coming to this park as I used to live within walking distance. It is difficult to find a spot but worth it. The park is very large with extensive lawn space. There are several areas with machinery to exercise. The park as a dog park segregated for large and small dogs. The walking path is beautiful with a lot of greenery and fresh air. You can see the water from part of the walking path. The trail is very nice and the park is well maintained. You feel very safe there and people are friendly. I brought my daughter and she enjoyed being surrounded by nature in this beautiful park.

This is one of my favorite parks in the area. This park is always clean and there are plenty of dog bags for you to use when you're taking your pup on a walk. I also come here to go for a run. What's cool about this park is that it is built like a track with markers to know how far you've ran. There is also a nice view of the boats. I also like that parking is also free at the park.

The most beautiful way to disconnect with your work day routine and reconnect with nature and nice scenery Miami has to offer. I came here with my friend and her pup a few days ago and loved how relaxing and breezy this park was. With the infamous trees of Coconut Groves, you get covered from the sunny rays striking at you. A nice walkway/ bike track to walk around and get those steps in and a picture perfect waterfront view. Although i had been to this park before, I had never been to the dog park within it -- I was so happy with my experience and to see how well maintained it is! With different ramps and tunnels for dogs to play in, our pup had the best time! Protip: ACs frozen lemonade truck is always a must! (cash only)

A Miami staple! I love bringing my dogs here to the dog park not for a stroll around the park. I highly recommend you get an AC's Icee! They have volleyball courts and a makeshift workout area. Added bonus is the lovely views of the water too.

This is a nice little park along the bay. It's not super big, but it's really pretty to walk along the boardwalk on the bay. We were there for sunset and it was a good place to see it. Unlike many places in Miami, it has a free parking lot. It's not big, but that was a nice surprise. It's a nice place to visit.

Love this park! Right next to the ocean and also has dog park (two side, one for small and the other half for bigger dogs). It's nice to go for a picnic, bike ride, or simply a stroll. They also have a volley ball net. There have ACs frozen lemonade truck in the very entrance so perfect to grab as you enjoy day at the park. The Only downside to this park is that there is barely ever any parking. I've been here multiple times and it's always been an hassle. Other than that, this is a must visit park!

The cutest dog park, it's small and everyone is extremely friendly. My dogs love going - it's also a plus that there's a frozen lemonade stand in another section of the park.

Broader Miami city and its suburbs have great public parks. Many of these have wonderful equipment for anyone to keep physically fit to perform Cardio and strength training. The surroundings are kept impeccably inviting.

Very nice park with a walking/running 5-mile trail, an outdoor gym, restrooms, a view of the water from a mini pier, and a dog park. Well maintained dog park with a couple of tunnels/ramps/activities for dogs. When we went during the day on a Friday there were no other dogs, but we are looking forward to visiting again some other day.

I literally adore this park so much, I love running there and being able to oversee the marina! Enjoy some aesthetic photos lol!

This is a nice dog park , I met nice dog parents and my snowy enjoyed her time there.

I discovered this park a few months ago while in the area searching for a space to unwind after a long morning. This is a nice quiet space to go for a walk, swing, or just sit and observe nature. There is even a view of the bay, perfect for photos. A few weeks later, I suggested eating lunch here with my class and they enjoyed the experience. One of the many hidden gems in Miami.

This little park is a great place to relax, I love coming here after (or during) a tough week to unwind. There are beautiful views of the bay, a nice track, and even a dog park. There's also a small outdoor gym to help you get some bodyweight workouts in. There's limited parking but you can usually find some nearby and just walk over.

I love Kennedy Park! It is such a beautiful, and relaxing part of coconut grove and I am here for it all day! Want to run? You can use the trail that is available at the park. Have dogs? You can bring them to the dog park - they have spaces for both small and large dogs! Want to stare at the water while enjoying a picnic? This is the perfect spot for that too. There really is so much to love about this Park. It's well maintained, always full of people, and also the home to ACEE's Lemonade. IYKYK about that frozen goodness - it's Miami realness for sure. Parking can be a little limited on weekends, but you can park on Bayshore drive. Long live Kennedy Park!

Nice big park located in Coconut Grove..it has slides and swings and climbing frames in designated kiddies zones, a path to walk on, a dog park section, plenty of benches and seats to sit on, and three soft sanded volleyball courts. Plenty of shaded areas, trees and located next to the water...did not see all the park this time, bit will explore more another trip

This review is almost right after the Hurricane so maybe some of these pointers can let the City of Miami know what needs to be addressed. The four of us (Luna, my date, her little one and myself) stopped by for an afternoon in the park and most of the park has been restored. AC's Icees truck - which has been at this park since we first met in High school - was up and running. They have also put mulch walkways that made pushing Luna's stroller easier and took us right to the enclosed play areas. We noticed the fence for the 25 lb and under (yorkies and such) play area had been knocked down and still had some tree debris. We also didn't see any play and agility equipment in this area. Since there was another family with smallish (poodle and shitzu) in the area of the big dogs, we went in and sat by them. I know how dogs play and try to establish dominance, but like with human kids you need to establish ground rules and discipline. The owners of a German Shepherd, American Bulldog and chocolate Lab sat on the opposite end and didn't pay attention to their dogs until I had to holler out. While the choco was generally friendly, the shepherd was lunging and generally harassing Luna,the other small pups and a Catahoula pyppy. That being said, my fur kid enjoy the tunnel as well as the stairs course. Here's looking forward to them fixing the small dog play area as well as repairing the play equipment.

This park has it all! It has a bridge over water with some nice opportunities to look at fishes, a dog park, iguanas, beach volleyball courts, a playground, bike rentals, outdoor exercise equipment. This is a prime spot for a picnic, or to throw around a frisbee with friends when you just want to be outdoors.

My favorite park to go for a beautiful walk on the water and enjoy the downtown skyline in the distance! They just rebuilt the little walkway and I love how they re-shaped it. Perfect location to have your AC's lemonade!

Kennedy Park is a place I've rediscovered now that I have a pup. The dog park is among one of my favorites that I've found (always accepting dog park recommendations!), not only because of the agility obstacles and the divisions between big and small dogs, but also because of the friendly people that frequent it. As a runner, I would often jog by while marathon training. The path that circles the park is rubber, which is great for those with sensitive joints. Besides that, you'll always see people playing volleyball and other sports, as well as families or friends simply hanging out. One of my fondest memories from this park was back in college having a picnic waterside. You get a nice view of the Rickenbacker over to Key Biscayne! Yes, parking can be hard to come by, but I guess I must come on off times because I've always been able to find a spot within a few minutes. I will say the spots are pretty tight, so I'm often having to squeeze between my door and the car next to me, which is super inconvenient while trying to also get my dog in the car... This could be improved! These days, a pretty awesome day for me is an hour at the dog park with my pup, followed by a strawberry lemonade combo from A.C. Icee's. Heavenly!

I love this park. My husband and I come here for the frozen lemonade. Bring cash because A.C's only accepts cash and it's definitely a treat you don't want to miss out while walking around the park. There are small workout stations throughout the or that you can use, plenty of space for joggers and the best part is.... there's a dog park! We love bringing our four legged babies here so they can have some fun. After they play in the park we usually walk them around a few more times and they are exhausted for the day. Even in the hot summer this park is not excruciating hot because you are right next to the ocean which brings in a nice breeze for the most part. Definitely a favorite.

Such a beautiful park right by the water in Coconut Grove. I used to come here for some Mommy and Me Fitness classes. There is a lot of space and fitness equipments throughout the park. You can find free parking there but there are not a lot of spots. Moreover, there's a small playground for the kiddos. I heard from others that they offer free yoga classes on Sunday but you'd have to verify it they still do that on their Facebook page. There are other seasonal happenings taking place such as a menorah lighting. Highly recommend this park for work outs or family-friendly outings.

Great spot for dogs. Overall a large area to walk. If you walk the recycled tires path its roughly 1.5 miles. They have a gated dog park in the back split by dog weight for safety. The park grounds were well kept, and no homeless in sight. Overall very clean, very family oriented. They had some sand volleyball courts here, along with a view of the mangroves and partial marina. Parking was really limited and they DO ticket if you don't park inside the designated parking area so be aware of that. There is usually the standard ice cream or drinks food truck here and again overall a really safe and stellar spot for your dogs if you live in the area.

Great park that's right along the waterfront, with some wooden decks and walkways that will take you out over the water and are great to check out the area or watch the sunset from. This park has lots of pathways that are covered in what appears to be compressed mulch, but feels more like walking on a rubberized surface. There are a few areas where things like a sand pit with volleyball nets, exercise and workout equipment and swings and children's activities can be found; There are also 2 fenced in dog park areas with water fountains, obstacles and convenience bags, one for smaller dogs under 25 lbs and one for larger animals. Aside from that, there are lots of open spaces and fields for people to lay out a blanket and picnic, play soccer, football or other sports, or just sit and read, write, get work done or watch the world around them. IMO, this park is such a gem, and it's located not far from the center of Coconut Grove and just a few minutes' drive from downtown Miami. As others have mentioned, parking can be a challenge, especially on weekends; there are 2 paved lots with free parking, and lots of cars parked along Bayshore Drive where it's clearly marked "No Parking", but a few dozen people seem to park there anyway. They also have a "CitiBike" rental/return station here.

My favorite park!!! I can go everyday if I lived closer. It has everything you need to have a relax and active time. It has a running path which has different stops for you to do some exercises and they even have signs to tell you what you can do and for how long. It has a playground. It's a dog friendly park. It's great to take pictures and perfect for picnics. Keep walking and you can see the beautiful coconut grove bay. Right one the parking lot you can find the famous lemonade truck which is very well know for how fresh and good are the lemonades. Es mi parque favorito!!! Decided to bring my puppy to David T. Kennedy Park on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Took a long stroll through the park and spent some time at the dog park area. Quality David T. Kennedy Park is located right on the waterfront in Coconut Grove. The unfortunate part is you can only truly see the water from a few select areas of the park. It is a decent sized park that has plenty of open space, a few fields, volleyball courts, a playground, and then dog split dog areas. Dogs are permitted on leashes throughout the park and then there are two separate dog parks for smaller and larger dogs. Quantity It is not a very large park so space was definitely at a premium on a cool Sunday afternoon. Regardless of where you were plenty of children, animals, and sports equipment could be expected to impede on your space. Value The park is free to enter and I believe the official parking is also free. However the hassle of the free parking may encourage you to search for a paid street spot to the south. Ambiance David T. Kennedy Park is a mid-sized park that is located in Coconut Grove right along Biscayne Bay. Although it is right on the water much of the waterfront view is blocked by the plant life. There are a few spots, including a small wooden bridge, that allow you to see the water and the boats, but it sadly is not as scenic as you may hope. The park itself is mostly open space and trails. They do have a good sized playground for children, a few volleyball courts, and dog parks split by size, but it mostly is open grass space. The pathways are interesting because they have exercise recommendations listed at different intervals, in case you wanted an outdoor workout. The park also has a fixture in A.C.'s Icees that sells frozen drinks perfect for warm days. Crowd It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend afternoon and not brutally hot, so the park was completely packed. Everywhere you looked children were running around and tons of people had dogs with them, too many of whom were ignoring the leash requirement. This park is fine if you are coming with the purpose of using the nice dog park, but it is not where I would pick to have a relaxing afternoon. Service Both the park itself and the dog park were well maintained. It was very clean and there were garbage cans at frequent intervals, which definitely cut down on trash. Parking The biggest issue with David T. Kennedy Park is the parking arrangement. They have two lots, one that is near A.C.'s Icees and the other at the southern end of the park. The one by A.C.'s is very tiny and only allows traffic one way, causing constant backups on the road. The other is slightly larger, but the entrance is too small and only allows cars to come one way at a time. It is really set up to cause accidents and traffic. I chose to park a few blocks south in a paid spot, which is pretty inconvenient. Extra While David T. Kennedy Park is nice, it lacks in terms of scenic water views and parking. I appreciate the nice dog park, but having to park several blocks south and walk along the shoulder of a busy road with my puppy is not ideal. If you are a local I am sure it is amazing, but I just was not impressed by this park.

The park system in Miami is great, but this park takes the cake! Its clean!! It has a walkway around it that is made from rubber which is great on joints when you are running. They have volleyball courts(3 of them), outdoor gym(with two of every equipment), and plenty of green open space. The best part to me it that it is right next to the ocean. Which is amazing!!!!

I come here maybe 3-4x a week. Usually the same locals with their pets in the dog park. Friendly people, great view. Usually busy with people working out, people having small parties, and people just going to a have small jam session on their guitar or to lounge and read a book. It's always clean, no one hesitates to pick up their dog poop. 2 designated dog areas for large and small pets. I wish the water fountain worked a little better though. Best park of this park hands down is 'AC's Icees'. All flavors are phenomenal, but the original lemonade is untouchable. It's perfect on any Miami hot and humid day. Cash only. Friendly staff. Basically any "food truck" that has been able to stay stationary in one spot for over 20 years definitely knows what they're doing. It's a must try if ever in the area.

This is one of my favorite parks! It is very large with a fantastic view. They have playgrounds for the kids. They have 2 dog sections separated by dog size for the furry friends to run around leash free, with doggy water fountains included. They have an outdoor fitness area to workout. There is a cushy track, to reduce the impact for runners. There is free parking available as well.

The park itself is beautiful. Has lots of grass and a great little walkway to use with exercise equipment every so often. Picnic benches under large trees are a great addition for a picnic or just to watch the world go by. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the dog parks. Small (both for the small dogs and larger dogs). The flooring was a mixture of grass and weeds as the flooring. The most annoying pet was the lack of poop bag stations inside the fenced in portion of the dog park. If your dog poops, you would have to walk outside of the gates and grab a bag. The park has a lot to provide, the dog park is underwhelming.

One of my favorite spots to spend a Saturday afternoon! (Okay... maybe not in the middle of summer, but any other time YES). All I need is a blanket, a book and a shady tree. Kennedy Park is a beautiful park in Coconut Grove. Located on South Bayshore it's right on the water. The park itself is very clean. Most of the people here are working out, walking their dog, or relaxing with their family. There is a walking trail that connects both halves of the park and a little bridge where you can see marine-life in the water. Lots of trees for shade, and a dog park with separate sides for large dogs and small dogs, this park is both pet-friendly and family-friendly. What makes Kennedy Park so special is that there is something for everyone. Besides the dog park, they also have exercise equipment throughout the park, beach volleyball courts, and open space for you to set up a blanket or throw a ball. Want to spend more than half the day here? You can pick up food for a picnic from The Fresh Market right down the street, or grab a frozen lemonade from A.C.'s Icees right in the park. Great vibes, amazing location, five stars in my book. P.S. There is free parking in 2 different small lots, however, sometimes it fills up on the weekends. When I come here on a Saturday, I always like to ride my bike to avoid all the extra stress of parking.

I'm on a quest for the best dog park in Miami. It took me 2 attempts to visit. It has a small parking lot out front however I had no problem finding a parking spot both days. Sadly my pug doesn't do well with the Miami Heat once it gets over 80, so she couldn't make it to the actual dog park. This is why I gave the park 4 stars instead of 5. To get to the dog park you have to do a bit of walking which makes it hard for short snout fur babies. However I went back a second day with out her. Explored the entire park. What a beautiful place. The view from the dog park is the water. There's workout stations for humans. The big and small dog parks are huge compared to the parks I've visited so far, and most importantly very safe. All kinds of fun activities for the doggies. There's picnic tables all over the park, and benches to just relax and look at the water. If my brat wasn't a pug this would definitely be our favorite park. Oh and there's a cute little truck out on the parking lot to buy some icees. Great trails for a run or walk.

I went for a beautiful walk this morning! I used to go running often here, but it had gotten too hot in the Summer. The walkway needs some work, because if you are not paying attention, you may trip. The bridge has been repaired, from when we had that hurricane. I absolutely love the morning view/sunrise from this bridge. I recommend early walks/jogs/run at this park, or evenings, as the sun starts to set.

Clean and organized, we had a great time walking around and watching lots of dogs training.

This is one of the nicer parks in miami. It is really small but it's got just about everyrhing you could want... and probably things you didn't even know you wanted. I've been here a handful of times, always for the dog park. There are always people working out here and that is probably because the park has a rubber running track, pull up bars (where else are you gonna find these?), and all sorts of primitive exercise contraptions. It is very clean and feels like there is a trash container just about every 50 meters. I didn't notice very many benches or picnic tables, but they are there. It makes for a good spot for a workout, dog hangout, or a brisk scenic walk (millionareville) - may not be the best place for a family picnic though. Make sure you stop by A.C.'s Icees (the food truck in the parking lot) and grab yourself one of dem der delicious icees!

Nice serene park that I find perfect for a Sunday Funday with the family. Nice walkways that are great for jogging. Beautiful views. Parking could be improved as it Is limited but that's not unusual in this overcrowded city. Oh, one last thing, AC's lemonade truck is a plus so make sure you get refreshing drink while you are there.

A lot has changed since the last time I had visited this park. I spent quite a few weekends here as a kid. Lots of different exercise equipment are throughout this park for your fitness needs. The once concert walk ways have been replaced with softer rubber running track. Which is nice, at least you won't get all scratched up if someone happens to trip you. Volleyball court, super cool, not too many of those are found in a park. Who's up for some volleyball?! Suck it basketball! Let's not forget our furry friends. A small dog park is located near the back if you're coming from the parking lot. They have an area for big dogs to play and small dogs. That way your little doggies won't get bullied by the big ones. Or in some cases, your big dog won't get bullied by a giant rat! The one thing I was sad to see change about this park was that they let the mangroves grow over the rocks. You used to be able to (if you were adventurous enough, which I like a little risk every now and then ) walk out and sit on the rocks to look out at the water, now your view is blocked. What I found funny was that they didn't even bother to move the benches. So now you can just sit and have a lovely view of the mangroves instead. Which I guess is nice if you like looking at leaves and twigs. I'm sure there is something fascinating going on with those two things. The bridge is still intact though. You can get your water viewing pleasure from there! Still, decent park with your basic park needs. If you want someplace you can bring your dog and get in a decent work out then this is definitely the park for you. Parking is very limited here though, best to come during a week day or if you do come on the weekend, then get there early. Never enough spots and people seem to flock here like the plague. Not sure if that has something to do with the park itself or the Icees truck in the parking lot. I have seen people come just for that and I can't say I haven't done the same thing. They are good!

Wonderful park in the heart of Coconut Grove. The park is clean and very amble with walk paths, on the water, and let friendly. The park has a large parking lot and also has a resident which is the fresh lemonade truck. The kids and adults loves the lemonade especially after a long hot day. The park also has sections that offer workout routines. The park looks great even after hurricane Irma got to it back in September. Another perk is that the park has very clean bathrooms for men and woman.

You might know this park as the place where AC's Icees posts up slinging out thirst-quenching-frozen-lemonades. I mean, he's been there since I was like 2 years old. My pops used to bring me every couple of weeks to get our refreshment on....good memories. Recently returned back to the park after years of simply passing it by on Bayshore Drive. We had a park yoga session sandwiched between AC - and a soccer camp for kids. It's safe to say this place is PACKED with children on the weekdays. Seems this time of the year it's mainly soccer. Games going on on the adjacent field - training/classes for the smaller kids going on on the AC area of the park. Parking can be a nightmare at this time. They have the one small strip of of parking next to AC and then an awkwardly laid out lot behind the fields....there's only one way to come in (and it's the same way to come out...with only one lane). This is LITERALLY a head on collision waiting to happen. Do you have any idea how hard it is to time it so you can turn in from Bayshore (heading South)? Whenever you have an opening, GOD FORBID there's someone exiting...you are stuck. The parking gets better after 6pm, but that means the suns going down...and I'm not a fan of parks at night. It's great for the kids, they have a nice walking trail/sidewalk, and of course AC is there...but seeing I don't have kids - and I never crave ab AC Iccee (It's more nostalgia than anything)....I won't be rushing back.

I love this park! This is a great park for families. They have just about everything I need. They have a dog park, one for small dogs and one for bigger dogs, a jogging path, an area with workout equipment, a playground for different age groups, views of the Bay, bike rentals, and THE best frozen lemonade in Miami. Seriously if you haven't had A.C's Lemonade, you need to get your life together. I did notice that there is some damage to the jogging path from the hurricane. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Other than that, this park is great!

When I moved into the Grove I fell in love with this park. I moved out of the Grove and still find myself going here. Talk about peaceful. It's an active park, meaning there's a small self fitness area, a dog park (two of them, one for bigger dogs and one for small ones) and various training exercises throughout the park. The "track" like surface welcomes your legs for a nice run. The park is relatively shaded for those daytime runs. Beach Volleyball and a kids area is also located inside the park. If you want to just hang, no problem! Lots of open space for picnic areas. Parking can be a challenge, although there is a side lot next to the park. Love coming here!

Kennedy Park is one of those parks you've driven by a million times. And I hope it's also a park you've checked out at least once. Small but popular this park has a large dog park within the park. Kennedy is on Tigertail and just North of the central Grove. It is on the bay and offers a great view. You'll find a lot of people jogging and of course plenty of dogs. The proximity of this park to the Grove make it a great place to have an impromptu picnic. Maybe pick up some sandwiches and then bike over, if not then there is always AC Icees.

Kennedy Park is the holy land of playground exercise equipment. I went here a few weeks with a friend who was looking to bike around the Grove, but unfortunately for us, the bike shop we usually visited was closed down. So what was the next best option? Workout at Kennedy Park! I have to admit that our workout only lasted a good half hour, but we got a full body workout from exercising at each station. Abs, chest, glutes--these little stations that are scattered around focus on different target areas. My favorite piece of equipment had to be that green ladder you can climb up and down. If you are the type of person who always travels with an animal, there is a fenced-in area for dogs. Looking to relax afterwards? Grab a cold icee at A.C.'s Icees or relax by the water. The only gripe I have with this place is that there could be more parking. There was a boy scout's hiking trip taking place when I visited, so my friend and I had to park at Monty's. There definitely should be more parking, considering that this location is a Grove icon.

I stumbled upon this quite sanctuary while driving in Coral Gables. It has a nice dog park for small and large dogs. Also a place for the kids to play as well. A great place for a walk or jog as well. Lemonade truck was there if you needed something to quench your thirst. Very clean and family friendly. I will return to this park with my small puppy. It's also sits along side the Water if you want a nice view of boats and jet skis while taking a break from your walk through the park. Parking can be somewhat of a challenge if visiting during busy hours. But overall a very satisfying experience.

Lovely park with a dog park within it, there is a space for larger dogs and another for smaller dogs. There is also an outside gym available for people to work out and a nice path to walk on. On the other side of the park, you can find some beach volleyball courts and a playground for kids. To top it off, the A.C's Icees truck is almost always parked there and you can enjoy some snacks and of course his delicious lemonade!

While working on my documenting project of bike and running trails in Miami, I spent a good deal of Thursday morning getting some video footage for documentary. It brought me back to times past when I first moved to Miami and lived in the Grove. This was my go to place for my morning runs, and to be able to see the sun rise over the bay is simply unmatchable, and would totally highlight that moving to Miami was the best thing I have done in the past decade. This park is a jewel, with a newly resurfaced path for bikes, walkers and runners, the softer surface is kinder on my aging knees, and it is nice to pedal around it and enjoy the views. Dog lovers - double bonus: a dog park in here to come and chill out with the pooch. Usually parking is ok, there might be a bit of challenge on the weekends, which is easily resolved by not driving there but rather riding your bike, which you should be doing anyway.

This is one for my favorite parks for 2 reasons: the dog park portion of this park, and the view. Seriously, this park has the prettiest view of the bay, so relaxing. The only issue regarding this park is the parking, or should I say lack of parking. Either get there really early or be prepared to circle the tiny parking lot various times until someone leaves.
