"Literary Love Affair There’s no better place in Bangkok to browse for books than Dasa Book Café. While Kinokinuya (deservedly) holds sway in the malls, this cute seller is the pick among the city’s independent book retailers. The shop itself boasts around 17,000 titles over three floors and the regularly updated ‘Dasabase’ list of stock makes it easy to find what you are looking for."

Amazing second hand bookstore. 3 floors, every genre you could want. They seemed to have majority English books (yay for me!), but also offer books in other languages as well. They have a great inventory system, so if you’re looking for a specific book just ask and they’ll let you know if they have it :) You can even order a coffee table to sit and relax before or after perusing their shelves for your next read.

Was looking for a hard to find book as a present for ages with no luck. Stumbled on this website and, lo and behold, they had it. Only 4 days to spare! They posted next day and it arrived with 1 day to spare. Service was impeccable. The recipient of the book was over the moon. Thank you. Will definitely be ordering more from you.

I love Dasa used book store. Over the 19 years, in my travels to Bangkok, I spent many daytime hours there and ended up buying more books than I could reasonably carry or take home. I really miss Dasa. It's One of my favorite places in the world and Dasa made me feel like I was home again in an earlier New York City when shops like this was prevalent. The only book store I could compare it to was a store years ago called City Lights in San Francisco. DASA also serves the most excellent cappuccino and coffee. Wish there was a bookstore like this remaining in the U.S.

This is a fabulous international bookshop with lots of choice in several of European languages. Next to English, their German and French sections were large. Staff here are helpful and friendly. The dominant English sections feature texts across a wide range of fiction, non-fiction genres like politics, history and health, as well as coffee to go if you like. Whilst standard in Thailand to offer coffee, it might be incorrect to describe it as a café as it would prove difficult to sit. Prices range depending on the condition of each book and its availability; we bought cheap paperback thrillers, but second-hand monographs and non-fiction tomes were still reasonably-priced. We'll be back to stock up on books!

This book cafe was mentioned by my favorite Indonesia's book podcast, Kepo Buku. I heard about it around 2021. When I was finally able to visit Bangkok in 2023, Dasa Book was on the top of my priority list. So glad it is still there despite the pandemic. What fascinated me the most was the ease of finding books written by prominent authors. Best selling books were everywhere. I thought that I had to really dive into a pile of books to find the good ones. I even found books which I thought were rare to find. Many children books also, placed in a large area. The price of each book was written on the back of the cover with a pencil. I could say they were all affordable and in good condition. If I did not think about the weight of flight baggage, I surely would buy more than I bought that day. Yup, Dasa is also a cafe. The menu can be found behind the cashier. But, I did not find it comfortable enough to sit and read because the space was limited. If I am not mistaken there was only a table with 4 seats available surrounded by racks of books, near the entrance, and people passed over the area back and forth.

This is one of my favorite second hand book shop in Bangkok. Staffs are very nice and polite. There are many rare books here but you have to find out. Mostly are novels and encyclopedia and they provide books for kids too. The price is reasonable(quite cheap).

One of the best pre-loved bookstores I have come across. A really good collection of books; spread across three floors. They also have a collection of CD/DVDs. The books are reasonably priced and price varies as per the condition/age of the books. I got some good titles and I'm definitely visiting during my next visit to Bangkok. Do visit in case you are a bookworm and strolling around. Recommend!
