"As if floor-to-ceiling Inner City views from an 18th-floor space weren’t enough, the 21,500-square-foot illuminated ceiling by Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist will wow you at Das Loft restaurant. With strict historic preservation building codes long in place that dictated nothing be built higher than the city's iconic Stephansdom cathedral tower, Vienna was rather late to the game of splashy starchitect buildings. In 2010, however, Jean Nouvel’s Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom opened across the Danube Canal, an area that had been plagued by banal postwar stucco buildings. Now, guests at the hotel’s Das Loft penthouse and panoramic restaurant can not only enjoy beautiful urban vistas, but a popping cocktail scene and modern takes on Austrian dishes."

We had a splendid new year's brunch at Das LOFT. The views were breathtaking but its by no means outshining the high quality buffet. As for improvement suggestions, a tray for used plates would make the refill a bit easier. Overall, a great choice for a special brunch in Vienna.

Just incredible views wow, nothing like we’ve ever been to before. Such a special spot. Couldn’t recommend the overall environment enough, the atmosphere was so beautiful and perfect for a night out. The food was DELICIOUS, very much fine dining and quality over quantity. The service wasn’t the best and the food took a long time to come, but the views to enjoy outside didn’t make that an issue at all! The cocktails were amazing too, definitely a must visit

We spent Christmas Day at Das Loft, a rooftop venue with breathtaking views of the city and truly stunning decor. Although there was a small misunderstanding with our reservation, it was resolved very quickly. One of the hostesses and our waitress were exceptionally kind. We ordered à la carte Angus beef, and let me tell you—it was the best I’ve ever had. We paired it with red wine, and the waiter shared the fascinating story behind it. The entire experience was a 10/10. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in Vienna!

I had an awful experience there I booked a table on a Sunday in the after noon didn’t know they had a system for brunch at this hour ,when I booked the reservation they didn’t tell me about the brunch system We arrived there the staff were welcoming ,they handed us the menu without prices ,then the appetisers of the brunch arrived all of the food tasted horrible, and then they told us that the brunch included eggs also the Benedict eggs tasted horrible, they the staff forgot about our table and they arrived to the table with chicken legs that tasted horrible and were unclean, we didn’t enjoy a single thing. Then the manager just came and threw the brunch check at our table without us even asking To sum up it was an awful restaurant just with great views The brunch costed 115€ for one person Don’t recommend anyone going there!

Over-promised, under-delivered on all counts but the view. Way over-priced for what you get, you’re only paying for the view. The bread with the pumpkin compound butter was the best part of the meal. Appetizers were fine, nothing worth writing home about but completely serviceable as dishes, share two between friends. The main courses were over-sauced, over-rich, and drown out the protein completely. Cocktails over-promise on names & stated flavors; I had the banana cold brew, it was a White Russian lacking even a hint of banana. 2 apps+2 mains+2 cocktails was €195! Service was cold, disengaged, and ignored our attempts to build rapport with her, she mentioned her English wasn’t as good as she’d like, we tried to bolster her confidence on it & chat a bit. Watched her laugh, joke, & chat with all the tables around us with native German speakers, but for our table it was just business & then move on. Asked to close out when offered a dessert menu and then she proceeded to not bring us the check for another 10-15 minutes once I hailed her down again to ask again. Would not recommend, would not go again.

I recently visited Das LOFT in Vienna while traveling with some friends from America and it was an unforgettable experience! We stopped in to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and everything from the food to the atmosphere exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend the drinks and food and it’s a perfect place to take photos as well. We ordered the ribeye, truffle fries, pork belly, and a selection of cocktails— all of which were absolutely delicious. Every bite was perfectly prepared, and the flavors were incredible. The cocktails were expertly crafted and complemented the meal beautifully. The atmosphere was vibrant and stylish, creating the perfect vibe for a special celebration. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall amazing experience. I would highly recommend Das LOFT to anyone visiting Vienna. It’s a fantastic spot for a memorable meal, and I’ll definitely suggest it to my friends.

We stayed at the 5 Star SO hotel for a few days, the breakfast at das Loft Restaurant was included. Exquisite views over Vienna. Staff was friendly and very attentive! We had a first class breakfast, A large variety of cold products from yoghurts to salads, meats, cheeses... The freshly made Omelette from the hot menu was fluffy and tasty. A variety of warm breads, rolls and croissants were on offer. Coffee was made to order. Mine was perfect and strong! The glass of champagne made this breakfast extra special! I would give it a 5 star rating.
