Darling

This was the best brunch I’ve had in a very long time!!! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and you can tell so much intention has gone into making it to be that way. Our server Ally was amazing and made our experience so lovely. I got the Turkish eggs and they were perfect in every way- the poached egg was perfectly poached, the bread is made in house and you can tell ❤️🥹🥹 I can’t say enough good things about Darling- I’ll be recommending it to everyone I know in Edmonton.

A cool, fancy, little “hole in the wall” restaurant with great ambience, wonderful service, and punchy flavours. The food was great, very creative and very well-seasoned with bold and interesting flavour profiles. We sat at the bar and our server Jess was knowledgeable and friendly, helping us with some suggestions for dishes and attentive to our drinks and each of our “first bites” to ensure we were happy. One of the best carpaccios we have had in the city so far, the linguine is a must, sablefish was cooked perfectly, and the anchovy toast was an umami flavour bomb (don’t be scared of this one- GET IT)! We also tried the croquette, and fennel salad which were both also very punchy and creative. Would highly recommend Darling if you like bold, creative dishes with a contemporary Canadian framework.

Beautiful space, nice music, delicious & perfectly portioned brunch!! The mimosas were extra yummy. I got the eggs benny and it was glorious. The most perfect hash browns ever, yummy crunchy and soft all at the same time. Service was great! Lighting is delightful. You can feel how much care has gone into every detail here. I will be back!

We had a lovely dinner at Darling on a Wednesday evening. The location is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, and is a little bit further out of the hustle and bustle of Whyte Avenue. The interior is modestly modern, nice ambient lighting, tables for 2 or 4 with chair and booth seating, and there are also a few spots to sit up the bar for a quick meal or to enjoy a nice cocktail or craft beer. We ordered Croquettes for our starter, and shared three entrees: Pan Seared Sablefish, Coulotte Steak 12 oz, and the House Parpadelle. We really loved that the menu only had a few items to choose from, they looked different and non-traditional, but each item is masterfully thought of and curated, the flavours were divine. Overall, we very pleased with our dinner, and dinner service was also top notch. Darling is most definitely a great place to check out for a lovely dinner out (or brunch) if you are looking for something that is special, unique, and a lovely dinner that is not just food but an experience that is full of flavour and creativity.

Went for brunch. The food was delicious and my portion size was very generous. Service was great. Love the bright space with lots of plants and cozy booths with pillows. Will definitely go back for dinner soon!

Service was great, atmosphere was nice (cute little patio - well decorated with plants and lights)! The food was nicely presented and all tasted good but I won’t find myself craving anything we had again. I think it depends what you order here - perhaps some dishes are a little more noteworthy. Their menu is seasonal though from what I understand, so I would go back and try different dishes, and definitely want to try the brunch as those menu items seem to have strong reviews!

We had an incredible dining experience at Darling. The food was nothing short of spectacular, with each dish showcasing unique flavors and creative presentation. To top it all off, the service was impeccable, friendly, and truly added to the overall experience. This is a must-visit for anyone looking for something beyond the ordinary.

Came out with a buddy of mine and this is the 2nd time I’ve been to Darling and it did not disappoint. Steph and Justin were super engaging and great. The oysters were some of the best I’ve had in Edmonton and the rest of our beverages were top notch. Would 100% recommend.
