The process started off intriguing. I picked cream with vanilla and hot fudge. We were excited to see the process, but was disappointed because it all happens in a metal bowl and you don't ever see it go from liquid to solid. Maybe if they had shown us the cream and vanilla combined and then poured into the bowl to freeze it would have been better, but they didn't do that. All we saw was some cold mist coming from a metal mixer and then they took it away and handed us some ice cream.
The girl doing the mixing had earbuds in, acted like we weren't there, and had a frown on the whole time. You could tell she wanted to be anywhere but there.
I wish I had taken a picture, because the ice cream we got at the end had the smallest drizzle of hot fudge on it that I've ever seen. No exaggeration, pencil thin lines drizzled on top and nothing in the middle or down the sides. I literally could not even taste it. It maybe had, again no exaggeration, a half a tablespoon worth drizzled thinly on top.
So, I basically just had a cup of vanilla ice cream. The ice cream itself was extremely creamy and smooth. It tasted okay, but honestly Blue Bell vanilla ice cream tastes better, though not nearly as creamy.
If you like super creamy ice cream then maybe try it. I regret not calling them out on the extremely skimpy topping. It was late, maybe 30-45 minutes before close, and my guess was they were pretty much out of hot fudge and couldn't be bothered to heat up some more. They also refused to make a waffle cone for me, again... guessing they had already cleaned the iron and didn't want to dirty it again. The staff wasn't rude, but they sure acted like they didn't care at all about the customer experience. And for how much they charge, in no way was it worth it.
