At Cozy Royale, you’ll find a relaxed tavern vibe serving up artisanal burgers, quality spirits, and a delightful mix of homey and elevated dishes.
"Humboldt & Jackson is a homey spot serving quality foodie food, the best drinks, and a relaxed vibe (I once overheard the bartender say, “One thing we're not allowed to do here at Humboldt & Jackson, is judge.”) So it's not too fancy yet there is a real attention to detail here. Everything on the menu is cultivated with craft and taste in mind. There's a big event calendar on the wall announcing various screenings, kitchen take-overs, and one-off themed menus showcasing local purveyors. All-in-all it's part bar, part restaurant, a little different every time, and always first-rate." - Radish Lab
"Now, Young is the sole owner of the Williamsburg butcher shop along with the restaurant Cozy Royale that opened in 2020 — what he describes as 'a burger and martini spot,' with high-low offerings like teriyaki steak tips, broccoli and cheddar pierogi, and rigatoni alla vodka — with meats sourced from the shop." - Melissa McCart
"Soup 'n' Burger Party @ Cozy Royale / Mondays, January 22-March 11, 5pm-11:30pm Make your Mondays more tolerable at Cozy Royale’s soup and burger party. For eight weeks, the Williamsburg bar is opening up its kitchen to a new chef each week from some of our favorite spots. Wen Wen, L’Industrie, and Ursula are a few of the guests on the lineup. Check out the other collabs and make your reservation here. " - Neha Talreja
"The name of this full-service restaurant from the Meat Hook is fitting: The dark wood and mismatched vintage art displayed really do make it feel like a home dining room of sorts. Much like any tavern worth its salt, the move here is the burger, which these days features Sungold jam, scallion aioli, pickles, and American cheese; it comes with pretty damn good fries, too (a rarity in 2022, as complimentary fries become few and far between). If red meat isn’t what you’re after, try other cozy classics like the chicken Milanese." - Luke Fortney, Eater Staff
"At his Brooklyn restaurant Cozy Royale, that burger is dry-aged and topped with raclette and bacon jam, or — as part of a recent collaboration series — reinterpreted all sorts of ways by guest chefs (see this recent al pastor burger)." - Bettina Makalintal
