"Artisanal Cheeses at Cowgirl Creamery The Ferry Building in San Francisco is a must for any food lover, and Cowgirl Creamery is one of my favorite stops. This producer of artisanal cheeses is a place to pick up cheese for a snack or picnic and to ask questions about California cheese. Let the person know what type of cheese you like or are looking for, and you will be treated to samples until you find just the right one. My favorites on my last visit came from Vella Cheese from Sonoma."

"Take the cheesemongers’ advice on which to sample, and see why San Franciscans delight when spotting Cowgirl on a menu. On Fridays, Cowgirl offers official tastings for just $5, but you can sample a few and buy snackable slices any day of the week."

This one the best burrata I’ve ever had! Nothing else even compares. And the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich hit the spot! If you’re near the ferry building and hungry this is the place to go!

I love cheese and this restaurant does cheese right! I love the grilled cheese, but it changes often which is neat because you can always try something different every time you eat here!

Splendid selection of local and imported cheeses. I am a huge fan of the beautiful parmesan they carry, even if it is priced like gold - it really does have that extra flavor.

Large cheese variety, I like their Hazen blue cheese. I believe it is originally from France, not sure though 😊

Didn't eat in the cafe on site, but bought some cheeses to snack on later. Wide range and huge selection of artisan cheeses from around the world. Asked to try various ones after explaining what we liked and the associate recommending a few. Thought the service was awesome. Ended up with about $25 of cheeses and ate those later in the day in the hotel. Great shop to get your dairy fix. And this coming from a Wisconsin Cheesehead, so its gotta be good.

Whenever I'm in the city, Cowgirl Creamery is a must visit. I am absolutely in love with their cheeses, they have the creamiest and richest cheese I've ever had. Also, you must try grabbing breakfast at their food shop. Their yogurt and granola is amazing, and their grilled cheese is sensational. It really is a great way to start off your day. I like to arrive at the Ferry Building early before it gets busy and just enjoy taking my time here for brunch.

This is the place to get that fancy cheese you’ve heard about but can’t pronounce. A place to try a new cheese that you never knew existed. I have yet to get a bad cheese from one of the cheese mongers recommendations. And very conveniently, there’s a bread place right next door. And a few doors down, a place to get some fresh fruit to go with your new cheese, if it lasts that long bc most of the cheese is good by itself. Don’t let the prices sway you, you don’t need a lot of it to experience cheese bliss.
