it is a very stylish place, a combination of an apparel boutique and a cafe. a small mezzanie in the back is fitted out with tables and chairs for the coffee drinkers. my mud cake was served with a sprig of miniature rosemary, a nice touch. it was a bit too sweet, but ok. and the coffee? it was quite boring.

This place very quickly became my favourite spot in Amsterdam. A place of quiet restful retreat, that made you feel cared for and looked after. Both coffee and cake was good. Well designed with lovely shop features, and kind friendly staff.

Love this shop, this is pretty much the only place I buy my clothes. And then I have coffee and lunch, which I recommend as well. Boyfriend & dog are also comfortable.

Initially guided here by my girlfriend seemingly unconvinced that a clothes shop would have a decent breakfast. Oh, how I was wrong. On the first visit, we had the cakes which were surprisingly moist - unlike some cafes were they taste like bicarbonate soda. On our second visit, I tried the savory waffles. Now, let me tell you, there must be a genius in that kitchen who figured out that buckwheat waffles, eggs, bacon, sour cream, and oregano make a great combination - because they do. The only fault is service. No fault to those serving you, as everyone is super kind, but sometimes plates aren't taken away as fast or a second coffee is forgotten about. In short, highly recommended!

Loved our breakfast here. We had a coconut yogurt parfait, banana bread, matcha latte, fresh made juice , avocado toast, omlette and salad. Yes we ate all of that lol. They have lots of options for people with allergies (gluten free and dairy free options, as well as vegan options) but my husband who has no allergies or dietary concerns found things he liked too. Cute clothes in the store to shop while you wait. Good service. Highly recommend.

Very quaint and cute. The service was a little slow (but I'm from the US where everything is fast) but friendly and the food was delicious. Not a lot of seating.

I'm glad we came in here. A very cute cozy place to grab something to eat. I had the walnut banana nut bread. I Love my gluten, but this GF banana bread was really good. The service is excellent and the two ladies helping us were sweet. I wld recommend to Stop in if you want to rest your feet and enjoy some grub.

My mom came over for a visit but she tends to get kind of restless when she is bored. And when she gets restless, she has the urge to rearrange my whole apartment. So the plan was to walk, walk a lot, to walk enough to wear mom out :) However, walking isn't something my mom does often and she thought she could just wear heels while going for a long walk. Guess what? Ten minutes into the walk, we were on the look out for replacement comfy shoes and Cottoncake was the 1st eligible store on our route. I was hesitant of going in, expecting it to be an hipster store with exorbitant prices not offering the kind of sneakers my mom would buy, but think again. My mom walked out the door in her new cool basic sneakers she got for a very reasonable price. Assistance was attentive and sincere. Now that I don't feel too intimidated to go in, I'll def go back to try their banana bread

Wow! Such a cool place. Their clothes, expensive as they may be, are pretty awesome! Trendy, chic and great quality. This everything-white space has a cafe on the mezzanine. They have gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. Which is great! I had their raw spring rolls with a peanut sauce. Very yummy, really healthy. And a brownie (gluten free) for dessert, never had such a chewy brownie, yummy! Really cool spot for coffee or shopping.

Cotton cake is a small café/shop in the nice neighborhood of De Pijp. Everything is white, everything is quiet, it results in this soft and relaxing atmosphere. Very nice. It is so quiet and discreet that I went by this place countless times without noticing it... what a shame. I went there for lunch and I must say I really liked it. The food was really good, with lots of veggies for a healthy meal! I had the tartine with roasted eggplant, mozzarella di bufala and pesto - for pesto lovers only, as this one has a pretty strong taste! totally fine for me, loved it. my friend had the frittata which was also good. I just had a quick look at the clothes on my way out, and it made me want to come back with more time. pretty nice stuff. Also, they have free wifi, making it also a nice place to have coffee while working on your laptop.

Cotton Cake is an interesting retail shop to go for lunch and coffee. A cute place to relax and enjoy a nice organic lunch in the Pijp. Atmosphere is pretty relax and comfortable. I met a few friends here for a quick bite. Their clothes line has an interesting Scandinavian fashion style to it. Definitely a place worth checking out for lunch with a small group of friends.

Ok i'm in live about this place ! I love everything ! I live the display , i live the coffee place , i love the chocolat cake ! I love everything !!! One of my favorite place on Amsterdam . You can take a very salad for lunch or just a coffee or also just buy some clothe .

We ordered a few light items to satisfy our morning hunger. This place was very chic. Beautiful clothes and atmosphere. Surprisingly, the food was sooo flavorful. We are so glad we found it on Yelp!!! I ordered the Butternut Squash Soup. It was full of mouthwatering spices. One of the best soups that I have ever had, hands down! The waitress/shop keeper was very pleasant and kept our water glasses filled. Please give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

WOW! From the food to the decor, Cotton Cake is incredible! At first glance Cotton Cake might just seem like an adorable boutique, but the food is excellent and is well worth your money and time. If you are gluten free or vegan, you are guaranteed to find plenty of options that are not only delicious, but super healthy and beautiful too! I enjoyed the "I Want It All" plate and everything was excellent. I especially liked the salad and avocado toast. My friend had the New York style waffle and was so pleased! Do yourself a favor and stop in for a meal and some shopping!

Cute restaurant spot in the middle of a boutique! Tight seating with a limited menu but a fun and unique place to visit if you're in the De Pijp area. Waiters spoke English and were helpful. Highly recommend the green smoothie and cappuccinos!

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE EXPERIENCE FROM AMSTERDAM! Their breakfast was fantastic, had a great latte (with a cute little brownie!) and their "I want it all" option. Everything tasted fresh, was presented beautifully and of course the location and ambiance is everything. I loved a lot of the brands they carry in the store, and went home with a few purchases as well. The employees there were so friendly and welcoming. Not intimidating at all, and I love that their concept and menu change frequently. Any fashion lover should come and experience this for themselves. On my next trip to Amsterdam, I would definitely come back here!

Cottoncake is really my kind of place! This concept store has such an unique and creative vibe. Even though the street were it is located, near the albert cuyp market, is already cool, this place still boosts it up a little extra. You can come here for some fashionable shopping but the best thing is the little café in the back of the shop (and during the summer on the terrace in front). When I saw their menu on the website, and of course, the pictures on yelp, I knew I would like it. The food is healthy and delicious. The place is great for vegetarians. The lunch menu has various options like salads, sandwiches, yoghurt with granola, soup or omelets. They have pastries as well. The coffee is by Two For Joy and as an option you can even get your latte with almond milk (+0,40cents) which I love, since this is a healthier option than soy milk. Today I had their kale spinach salad with roasted pumpkin, goats cheese and pomegranate seeds. It was delicious! I also had a flat white and a vanilla iced latte. Both good. I will definitely come back to try some pastries as well. They looked interesting, like a flourless cake. Overall I just loved it a lot. Friendly staff, great and healthy food, cute place and nice (but for me too expensive) clothing.

Awesome place to browse around for some fashion and accessories, the best part however is the small cafe that's in the back! Super cute, a tad bit small but that adds to the overall comfy-ness of it. The menu is awesome as it's full of healthy hearty options, I went with the Quinoa salad and boy was it delish! Can't wait to come back and try more, especially the deserts.

Lovely place in De Pijp with healthy & wholesome food. If you are struggling with gluten allergy like me, this is a great place with lots of delicious gluten free choices. Try the banana bread or the chocolate brownie. All sandwiches can be ordered gluten-free too. Everything is home-made with fresh ingredients & created with love. I have been looking for a place like this for ages and come here regularly for a nice lunch or a smoothie. Don't forget to take a look at the shop too. It's hard to resist buying a new scarf or a necklace here. Every week new items come in and they are all unique & carefully selected by the owners Tess and Jorinde. Definitely a place filled with love & passion.

Love this place so much. Would eat here more often if I was a local. Definitely worth the walk to the neighborhood it's in. The spring rolls were amazing as well as their fresh juices. As a vegan, I give it a thumbs up!!

Eventually found the shop but the assistant couldn't be bothered to look up from her iPad. Even whilst we browsed the clothing she didn't enquire if we required assistance! It's a shame as it looked a lovely place to eat!

Super cute and cozy cafe. The decor is absolutely beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. The white decorations, exposed brick and modern details all add up to an overall lovely store and restaurant. The downstairs is a tiny boutique with lots of cozy sweaters and delicate jewelry. Upstairs in a loft are 3 small tables and a small couch seating area for eating. We went around 10:30 and were the first ones to arrive. Service was quick and the waiter was very friendly. I started with a decaf latte with almond milk. It was good, not great, but warm and lightly sweet. The coffee flavor was definitely secondary and not strong enough for my liking. For my meal, I got the smoothie bowl which was cool, creamy, sweet and slightly crunchy from the muesli topping. The pomegranate seeds also made a lovely topper. I went with a group and we also spilt the banana bread which was excellent. They toast it so the outside is slightly crispy and the inside is warm and soft. The bread is just sweet enough with a definite banana flavor. I'd definitely be back for another yummy brunch or breakfast!

Have a granola or a homemade sandwicht, great for a cup of tea in the middle of the day, original jewelry or clothing. I love how they cooperate with what's around them
