Food was great and so was the service. The tartare was the best I’ve had and my company agreed. When we ran out of toast we were quickly asked if we would like to be served more. The servers were extremely personable and quick to answer all questions. The steak had great marbling and was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The sauces it was served with were amazing. An overall exceptional experience I cannot recommend more.

What an incredible, unexpected surprise! From the moment we walked in, everything was just perfect. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. Every dish was a masterpiece, with flavors that were fresh and vibrant. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the attention to detail in each plate was impressive. From appetizers to dessert, everything was just amazing. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a meal this much. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!

The food was excellent! I ordered the steak frites, and the steak was cooked perfectly to my preference (medium). While some parts were heavily seasoned, making a few bites saltier or more flavorful than others; the steak itself was juicy and not dry at all. We paired it with wine, which complemented the meal nicely. The beef tartare was also impressive. I’m usually very particular about raw dishes, but this one won me over. They also offer refills on the garlic bread, which was a nice touch. One order of this appetizer is definitely enough to share between 2-3 people. For dessert, we had both the creme brulee and the mousse au chocolat. The mousse was rich and had the perfect balance of sweetness and texture; highly recommended! Unfortunately, the creme brulee was a bit disappointing as the custard was too runny and i thought it didn’t set properly. However, the restaurant was generous enough to take it off our bill. Now for the downside: the wait time. Since it was a Saturday and they don’t take reservations, we ended up waiting over three hours (about 3 hours and 10 minutes). There are only about 6-8 tables inside, and no seating outside for those waiting. I’d recommend finding a nearby cafe to pass the time until you get a call. Overall, I’d rate the experience a solid 9/10!

a meal worth waiting for! the atmosphere is quite cozy. there are only about 20 seats here and they don't take reservations so it's walk in only. the service was absolutely extraordinary, the staff looked relaxed and prepared and it showed as they interacted with all guests. We were absolutely delighted by the down-to-earth experience we had at this restaurant, specially given its location and popularity. What a refreshing evening, we will definitely comeback! Items ordered - L’aphrodisiaque Tabouriech No. 4 $12/each a very dressed up oyster with the oyster having that right amount of ocean essence while the caviar adding that touch of umami to the slurp. - Assiette de fromage the chef's choice of two cheeses with bread and honey. it was a brie and another cheese we forgot the name of, but both samples were wonderful and rich. - Tartare de bœuf this was stellar; vibrant red and seasoned perfectly, with the yolk adding the right amount of mouth-feel. i loved the potato used for the fries, slightly sweet and they were very well fried, crispy on the outer while staying soft on the inside. - Steak frites the steak was cooked rare with a perfect sear and the fries that accompanied were just as good as the ones that came with the beef tartare. - Duck confit the duck confit was also cooked well with the mushrooms and vegetables soaked in the mustard seed sauce, while having a nice cranberry sauce cut through the richness. - Mon cheri, the cake of the day! chocolate cake with a cream reduction. the cake itself was very rich but light enough that it wasn't overbearing. the cherries stole the show though with how boozy they were, a nice mix with the cream reduction. - for drinks we ordered an IPA and the cocktail of the day, as we had just been at a bar drinking as we waited for our table to be ready so we were boozed out by the time we go to Côte de bœuf. That said the cocktail was incredibly strong, surprisingly shocked, not watered down at all.

Great atmosphere with friendly, attentive and good humoured servers, but the steak just wasn’t good and it seems like the kitchen doesn’t have great quality control. I ordered the dry aged rib eye medium rare as did one of my friends. My friend’s ribeye came out medium rare as expected, however mine came super rare. When I pointed this out to the server he took my plate back to the kitchen and it came back essentially the same but slightly warmer. I tried the steak anyway and it was super chewy and didn’t have much marbling at all giving a really meaty flavour. I would personally just fork over the extra money at a more upscale restaurant for a nicer steak if I’m going out of my way for a nice dinner. I will say the steak tartare was amazing. Some of the best I had with amazing duck fat toast and if I had only come here for the tartare and drinks I would’ve left satisfied. Unfortunately I came here for a steak. I would also highly recommend the chocolate mousse it was also fantastic.

When you come to a place like this, you know what to expect. The steaks were superb as was the beef tartare and escargot. The heirloom tomatoes were also super fresh and very refreshing. Unfortunately the sourdough bread that came with the dish was drenched in grease and burnt a bit too much. I’d consider coming back with more people to try the 48oz one. The restaurant is very small and other than one table at the back, mostly sits just 2 people so not the best place for large groups. I hope they can expand to a bigger space with more outdoors seating to bring out more of that Parisian vibe.

Delicious wine and an amazing tartare! I highly recommend trying the tartare—it’s fantastic. The steak, however, was a bit underwhelming. It wasn’t bad, but compared to the excellent tartare, it didn’t quite meet expectations. The friendly and cheerful servers, along with the great atmosphere of the restaurant, made the dining experience enjoyable overall.

This is my second time visiting this French restaurant. The first time, I couldn't stop thinking about their beef tartare. It's the best I've had in Toronto, and I highly recommend it. The raw beef pieces are large, and it contains whole Sichuan peppercorns and chive-like leaves. The bread, toasted in a pot, is incredibly fragrant. The steak is of average quality, but the variety of vegetables is rich and very delicious. The only downside is that reservations are not allowed, the tables are too small, and you cannot bring outside food in.
