Conchi Natural Pool

This place is cool, but I thought there'd be more room to swim. Most of the time it is packed because of the tours coming. I was there in a Monday around 11 am. The water's a bit rough, and you gotta watch out 'cause the tide changes real quick. You definitely need a 4x4 with good clearance to get here. We made it in a Suzuki Jimny, but it was a bumpy ride. You could also hike from Damari Beach, but that's a tough hike, so if you wanna save time, just drive a 4x4 with AC. Some parts of the road are super steep, and tour trucks are always passing by, so be careful and share the road.

The seas were angry that day, my friends! Actually it was a little rougher than we expected so we just took in the natural beauty and decided against getting in. There were some that did and once in the pool area they were fine. It was just navigating the rocks and waves getting in that made us sit this one out.

Very cool and unique! Longish staircase to get to and slippery rocks. Not for elderly... Big waves can be intimidating but minimal risk of being taken out to sea if mindful. Only accessable by 4x4 vehicles or by foot and must pay to enter the park.

Fun photo ops. Make sure that camera phone is in a waterproof case. Popular site. Bring your jeep early (required) on that day. Park opens at 8:30 at a visitor center. It's quite a bumpy ride. There is a guide to assist people in as a couple of rocks are slippery. No climbing on rocks allowed. $20 to enter park. My pool pictures are not available. I walk almost everyday to the natural pool, some times twice a day. Some days it's good less waves, some days it's not too much waves, some days no breeze, some days with breeze, if you don't have a 4x4, i can guide you to the pool, or ask around for sure sombody can guide you. There are different ways to get to the Conchi (Natural Pool). We chose to hike the natural pool through Daimari Beach. First and foremost, go to the National Park Arikok to get your park admission tickets first. If you hike this way and get caught without the admission tickets, they will deny you and you will need to return back where you parked. The road to Daimari Beach was rocky, some narrow paths, and lots of up and down. I would not recommend this path if you are driving a small car, or if its rainy. Fortunately, we had a SUV. Once you get to the parking lot of Daimari Beach, you will have to hike through uneven staircases, dirt paths, sandy dunes, and rocky areas. It is manageable and the fastest way to get to Conchi. It took us around 50 minutes to get there. It was very sunny and no shade. The hike's view was beautiful. No animal encounters. Once you get to Conchi, you will see a lot of other people in the area; especially tours. There are life guards on duty to assist you to get inside Conchi. If the waves are strong, they will not allow you in it for safety purposes. It is a hit or a miss. We were fortunate to go on a sunny and nice day where we were able to go inside the Conchi. It was refreshing and definitely worth the visit.
