"This restaurant has a long and very interesting history, starting with the building itself (around 300 years old) and continuing with the history of the family at the helm, who have been here since 1930 and once provided support for the Royal Marines. The dining room boasts a rustic yet personalised decor with exposed brickwork and contemporary furnishings, while the cuisine focuses on fresh ingredients that are full of flavour. Definitely one of the best restaurants around. The dinner card is not huge, but the dishes are all excellent! All of us four had different mains, and we were all more than satisfied with our choices. I highly recommend the beef ribs, outstanding soft and delicious. Great wine list, friendly service, what else do you need for a great dinner. Thanks.

One word: Fantastic. One of the best restaurants we've visited recently, the service is impeccable, the atmosphere is cozy and the food, OMG, incredibly delicious. From the freshly baked bread to the main dishes, everything is very tasty and well prepared.

This was our first meal outside of our all inclusive hotel and my gosh it was not a disappointment The food here is tremendous. The staff where really attentive and helpful. They have fantastic vegan options and we had what I can only describe as some of my favorite food I have ever had The ravioli is to die for

We celebrated Valentine's night at Commando which was our first visit. Perfect service and delicious food in a cozy but elegant setting. We had let them know about some specific dietary restrictions affecting my wife and they went out of their way to research and accommodate them with zero fuss. I cannot speak more highly of the staff at Commando.

Everything was wonderful. The service was the best we experienced in Malta - attentive, pleasant, and professional. The food was incredible, especially starters. It's a pleasant location, relaxed atmosphere, good lighting, comfortable chairs. Highly recommended!

We came here for a lovely meal which is what we got. The meal was amazing and we would recommend the fish crudo to anyone going as well as the ravioli as they were both amazing. However for desert we ordered a standard dessert that was on the menu we however saw later that the table next got a chocolate fondant not on the menu and that we were not made aware of that we would have taken if we had the option. Apart from this small inconvenience we would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Malta as the food is amazing and the staff is super friendly.

I was here last November and it’s such a great place. Very unassuming at first but it turned out to be the best food and overall dining experience I had during my stay in Malta. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I had the fish (barracuda I believe) and it was so good! The hot bread that’s offered before the main meal was also great. Overall, I had a pleasant evening just before my birthday. Highly recommend, especially in the evening. Cozy and worth it.
