A lovely place for a baked good, meal, coffee, or cocktail. Plenty of seating. Despite this place always being busy, I get so much work done and it’s not a distracting atmosphere. Staff are lovely. Bonus: they have Prairie Artisan Rainbow Sherbet sour ale on tap!

Google
The location is at a very interesting spot because it seems to be on the first floor of a corporate (?) building. It can get a bit crowded especially on the weekend with an influx of students but they definitely know their coffee. It always upset me when cafes use the same beans for milk contained drinks like lattes and coldbrews/Americanos but this place knows the differentiation. Great ambiance as well as pricing for their menu. Will be back!

Google
Great spot for a quick coffee meeting! Wouldn’t have known it was here in this corporate building, so I’m grateful to have been invited by a client to discover this gem.

Just read the review by one Hannah Morris and I agree with everything she said. This place is hectic, bordering on the chaotic, with no idea where you're supposed to go to order or where, when and how to pick up your order once it's ready (which may take some time). Staff looked like they were more interested in each other than the customers. Having said that, the food I had was good and coffee not bad, and I suppose if you come here enough you get familiar with the layout and procedures. I liked the decor with a nice mix of seating opportunities.

Really enjoyed the food, matcha, and cappuccino! But most of all, the vibes and ambience! The loft is super cute and a great place to study or work, and the downstairs is always bustling with lots of seating at tables and the bar. The amount of natural light through the windows is awesome. Highly recommend!

Saw this shop online and was so excited to visit! It is tucked into a tall corporate building with lots of parking in front and located near Brentwood shopping plaza and across from the mall. There was a short line and a case of pastries to greet us. I ordered the flight of 3 and the pancake coins and my partner got an iced mocha and a breakfast burrito. Seating was readily available and there were options outside and upstairs as well. We found a cozy corner and waited patiently. Our drinks came out quickly and were all wonderful! The flight features a cortado, a sample of drip coffee, and a sample of cold brew. My only complaint is it doesn't come flavored but cream was readily available and I was able to get some simple syrup from the ladies at the bar to adjust to my personal taste. Our food came shortly after and was beautifully displayed with large portions and tasted to be made of fresh ingredients! Everything was delicious and we enjoyed the ambience of the cafe. It's the perfect place to sit and work and we found outlets available all over!! Many people were studying or working even on a Saturday. It also seems like the perfect spot to sit and catch up as there are many comfy lounging areas as well! Overall we enjoyed our visit and plan to return to see what else they have to offer! Their glassware is super unique and we loved seeing their crafted drinks come from the bar and latte art featured on each hot drink. Love that the cafe stays busy while still maintaining a cozy non-rushed feeling 🤍

Google
Relaxing social environment. I'll go again. The caprese grilled sandwich was extremely tasty and the coffee flight featured an ice coffee a hot coffee and a regular drip all with expressi. Then the tomato soup was pulpy meaning textured tasting homemade with basil. Enjoyed all of it and I will go again The staff was patient with me too as it was my first visit I always have questions and they were very helpful and polite even though I was holding the line up.

While the coffee was good, the overall experience was disappointing. The food took an unreasonably long time, but the real issue was the cashier’s attitude. She was rude, unprofessional, and never smiled. When I asked her to break a $20 so I could leave a tip, she continued acting like she didn’t understand me, which felt dismissive and disrespectful. Given the way she treated me, I couldn’t help but wonder if there was bias involved. Regardless, her attitude made the entire interaction uncomfortable. If she can’t provide basic customer service, she should consider a different job.

Yelp
I started getting Coma during covid because they were offering great deals on bulk lattes and they also partnered with a bagel place for drive up pick up. Post-covid, their online ordering is so easy and their menu has grown so much! All of the staff are friendly. Parking is relatively easy with the lots outside and the parking garage, and pick up orders are available on a table right when you enter. The place always has so many people - it seems like a good place to catch up with a friend, especially when the weather is nice on the outdoor seating.

Yelp
Went on a weekend so it was packed! Luckily we were able to find seating. The area was bustling, but a nice coffee shop to hangout or study at. Coffee was good, I tried the blackberry caramel latte on the seasonal menu and I appreciated the interesting flavor combo!

Olivia N.

Yelp
lots and lots are seating! came on a tuesday not crazy busy. lots of parking and a parking garage. located right near the galleria. i got the chicken strips they were super good. HOWEVER i would say the pricing is a little high on food, but drink pricing is good. my friend loaded avocado toast: her comments were good, but pricey for how much you get. my other friend chicken panini: 4/5 stars. pesto sauce on it was very very good. he enjoyed the fries as well

Samantha L.

Yelp
All we got were coffees for this visit but it was really good! I got a sugar cookie latte and it wasn't super super sweet, which I prefer! It also didn't leave my teeth scummy like some places do. Also, even though we didn't get food, the baked goods were so tempting. They had some cookies and scones, and a couple muffins too. It was a modern vibe but still cozy. The upstairs was especially inviting because of all the sofas and comfy chairs, whereas downstairs is more tables. We found some comfy chairs downstairs and just had nice time being out. The lady who took our order was really kind. There wasn't a ton to do for us but she was nice. Also, while we're there, one of the workers spilled steamed milk on herself and o saw all the other workers, jump to her assistance and asked if she was okay, so the staff seemed great! This was my first time here and I'll for sure go back!

April B.

Yelp
A nice shop in a surprising location. I've only tried the drip coffee, it was pretty good but the pastries were the best feature here! Very friendly staff answered our questions patiently. Enjoy!

Jordan L.

Yelp
I never write negative reviews, but for the first time I unfortunately, had a pretty disappointing experience. I waited 45 minutes for an online order. Then when I go in early to wait. I see my coffee was one that sat for 15 minutes without being brought to the online order table. The latte was watered down, and the staff didn't seem to care. Very sad experience. I wouldn't have wrote this if they weren't so dismissive of my sitting coffee.

Tess A.

Yelp
This spot is easy to miss but in a great location. We ordered a coffee, a chocolate croissant, an iced strawberry matcha, and a breakfast burrito with the southwest vegan patty. I really enjoyed the strawberry matcha, it's unique and something I haven't seen anywhere else. I was also impressed with the burrito and the multiple vegetarian options they offered. There are some large tables and lots of people studying/working. Seems like a great spot to get some work done and hang out.

Paul D.

Yelp
Price is the only thing that knocks Coma down from 5 stars. The price of the avocado toast is why people don't like millennials like me. BUT the price is listed up front and the descuida accurate. What REALLY matters is that it tasted amazing and is exactly what I wanted. And the cappuccino was perfect. All around I highly recommend if you're looking for a great menu from an amazing local coffee shop

Annie F.

Yelp
Coma is a great study space for students looking to study. It can get crowded, so really depends on what time you get there. I love the fruit matcha lattes they have and it's great that they also have a comprehensive breakfast/lunch menu which is awesome when you really have to grind for a couple hours. Definitely a place I go back to often!

Bruce K.

Yelp
My second "office" of the day, I spent about three hours here this morning plugging away at emails and dialing in to Zoom bridges. The wifi worked well but the space is a bit loud for trying to work. Still, it's free and the coffee was very good. Parking is a challenge in their smaller lot. Not all of the tables have power outlets. [Review 585 of 2024 - 288 in Missouri - 21616 overall]

Yelp
This place is sort of tucked away and I didn't realize it replaced the Skybar until I got here. When I walked in, I was taken aback that it was two stories! I def. thought it was best that they had two levels but also appreciative of all the space they had. The menu has quite a few options to choose ranging from breakfast sandwiches and bowls to salads, burgers and pastries. It truly has a little dabble of everything, which is great when you can't figure out what you want to eat. I met with a friend and while I was going to get one of the hash bowls, I opted last minute to get the pesto and Parmesan foccacia instead, as well as a chocolate chip cookie to go. They heated up my focaccia and off we went. The foccacia roll was reminiscent of the focaccia they used to sell at Bread co, except this was better. It was super light and airy, with the perfect amount of Parmesan and pesto inside. It's def. light and while I was worried I'd be full, I was eagerly awaiting my next one! My friend ordered a cappuccino and I loved how they made the design with the milk. When you're done eating, they kindly ask that you buss your own table and provided a bin for you to place your dishes in. There's a lot of things I want to try on the menu and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Always so good! Tried the mini pancakes for the first time and they were delicious! Lattes are always so good. Everyone that works at Coma is so nice and attentive. Tons of seating inside and out. You will always find it busy with people working, hanging out, or just enjoying the vibes. Cannot recommend enough!!

Yelp
Cool coffeee shop in Brentwood with delicious selections. The blackberry latte was yummy. Pricing is good and ambiance is great: they even have an upstairs area. To go pick ups are weird, got there at pick up time and they hadn't even started my order yet.

James L.

Yelp
Great coffee, great vibes, but so so incredibly busy on the weekends! I would love to come here more but sometimes the wait for a coffee can be 30+ minutes.

Sloane C.

Yelp
I love this spot, food and coffee are both great. But breakfast food takes 15-20min to come out which does fit into a morning commute.

Danielle M.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick coffee. I got the 12 oz caramel latte. It was the perfect little sized latte. Their flavors are house made and the caramel was really good. The 12 oz lattes have 2 shots of espresso and the 16 oz have 3 shots of espresso. The flavors for their lattes were limited and I wish they had a few more options, but overall the lattes were very good and service was quick.

Sara G.

Yelp
I love this coffee shop in a pinch. It's conveniently located, free easy parking, great and quick service, cozy seating, free WiFi, counter charging, and a variety of beverages and snacks. The ambiance is welcoming, with soft lighting, comfortable chairs, and normal bustling sound. Easy to work and grab a coffee.

Courtney S.

Yelp
I was searching for a place with coffee flights and this place came up. My friend and I were dining in so I THOUGHT when I ordered a coffee flight that they'd serve it in the cute glasses like the pics I saw but I guess I was wrong so that was a huge bummer. The staff was nice and chatty and the cofee was OK.

Adam B.

Yelp
Coma is always a solid choice, and not just because I spend a ton of time in offices nearby, making it my 'neighborhood coffee shop' during the day. Friendly staff, solid food choices (I'm particularly a fan of their chicken fingers rolled in BBQ sauce), house-roasted coffee that is always delicious (and which comes in these great tall ridged plastic mugs if you drink it in-house), and an ambiance that's pretty striking. The coffee bar is centrally located, meaning you can sit anywhere around the baristas as they're making drinks, but there's also a beautiful open second level with glass barriers, letting you sit above the bar below and look out of the windows as Richmond Heights buzzes by. Be prepared for a wait - that's actually the only consistent downer about this place. They're well-loved, which makes them busy, so if you're coming at peak times, be prepared to stand in line to order (from their ample food, pastries, drip and speciality coffee menus) and to wait for that food and drink to come to you.

Zoya A.

Yelp
The cutest shop in the most convenient location, if you're looking for a cafe with a modern/minimalistic design but with a menu to cater for that wholesome/local zest this spot is for you! The food and drinks here are great and the staff is so friendly! I will be returning both with friends and by myself for some work time. (definitely try the house made biscuit, it's huge and soo fluffy!!)

Mary Z.

Yelp
I've heard so many great things about Coma Coffee Roasters, and I finally had the chance to try it out. I loved their Signature Campfire Latte, and I was surprised they had food offerings beyond just bakery and pastry goods. The interior has a very hip, and urban vibe to it, with lots of natural light and filled with many young, trendy-looking customers working and studying. I knocked off one star due to the slightly odd location, right inside a random high-rise office building. It's not difficult to find, but it's more of destination rather than stumbling across by accident.

Emily K.

Yelp
I stopped in for some coffee and a chat with a friend on a rainy afternoon on a Tuesday. The place was packed, I could barely find a seat. The barista at the register was very friendly. I got an iced matcha latte with oat milk and a cinnamon muffin. The latte came in a very cute glass cup which I liked since I was eating in. I liked the place and the chill vibes so I might stop back in.

Christopher C.

Yelp
Great matcha and coffee. One of the few places that can do a cold brew cappuccino. Small selection of simple fare but that is recommended as well. Mellow vibe.

Rebecca A.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop with a cozy vibe. However, it can get pretty busy, making it hard to secure a seat. Despite that, my coffee was deliciously made to perfection, and the quality definitely stood out. Worth a visit if you can snag a spot!

Parker B.

Yelp
I went on a Saturday morning so I had to wait in line to order. Once I ordered they had my drink ready quickly. I got a cold brew with almond milk. The coffee was really good. They had a bunch of pastries that looked fresh. They have the option to order online if you are in a hurry. This is a great place to study or get some work done.

Imani R.

Yelp
I came here to meet with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and it honestly was the perfect place. There's two floors with seating and outdoor seating as well. There's a parking lot across from the shop, which is inside of a building. The service was nice and they were very friendly. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so I can't really attest to everyone's standards, but I prefer something super sweet haha. That being said, I'm interested in trying non-coffee items. I didn't get to explore the menu the way I would've liked, but there's more opportunities. I definitely plan to come back to try something new!

Beth A.

Yelp
Very nice place to get work done, it's a bit busy though. I will say I work better in a chatty environment! The coffee is PERFECT and they even did something off the menu for me. If you want to get the pink lady latte they'll do it for you! Definitely worth the ask!

Mason J.

Yelp
Space was packed, but you're able to still find seating indoors. Great atmosphere to do some work in or catch up with a friend. Coffee was good. Ordered the vanilla latte and the flight of 3. The flight of 3 was a good tasting to see the variety of drinks Coma offers. I enjoyed all 3 of the items, but my favorite was the cortado. Super smooth, great coffee flavor and milk was textured well.

Han V.

Yelp
Lots of space with their upstairs area, house made syrups, and the baristas take the time to make beautiful latte art. A wonderful find while we were visiting St. Louis!

Kara B.

Yelp
This is a cute spot in the bottom of a business building. Service is quick. They offer coffee, tea and boozy options. Smaller and bigger bites for food. I ordered the original avocado toast that has lemon and everything bagel season which was delicious. Parking can be a little rough during busy hours. Highly recommend!

Phillip H.

Yelp
Interesting location. It's on the first floor of an office building and has downstairs and upstairs seating available. Had the El Salvador drip which was pretty amazing. As I ordered for dine-in, would have preferred coffee in a mug instead of take out cup. Although, I didn't ask for a "real" cup either. Next time. Also, offers a sampling of food options. Was a little disappointed in the tomato soup as it was very thick (not soupy and not bisque) like a paste. Not what I expected. That being said, it did taste great. Not much variety for fresh fruits, other than a yogurt parfait. It was tasty but was really just looking for a mixed fruit bowl. Overall, it was a great spot.

Craig Z.

Yelp
Due for an update...have probably been to Coma a dozen times in the last 10 years. A lot has changed here, multiple times, including the move to the other side of the lobby of the office building, into a space with a lot of seating, which is really nice. There are big communal tables up here and people come to work. Surprised I didn't update my review on my last visit; I thought I had. The cortado I had on my last visit, which was an anerobic fermentation coffee, was as good as drink as I remember having. I also recall that the cold brew was really interesting, and the drip was outstanding. I think they are outstanding roasters and make very good drinks. I still do, but they aren't offering as exotic coffees as they once were. I did the flight today, and whereas last time all the coffees were medium or light roast, today they were all fairly dark...could taste the roast on two of the three. Also, they aren't offering a single origin espresso anymore. For most people, this continues to be an outstanding coffee shop, and I would recommend it to them highly--probably the best option around for many--but I wouldn't put it on my list of a must go destination for specialty coffee.

Maz N.

Yelp
The service is pitiful. Stood at the counter literally for 20 or more minutes. The cashier nor the barista even acknowledge my existence. I've been in a restaurant industry for 30+ years. I didn't say a word I smiled and eventually just left. As I got up to leave, I noticed that the cashier with the tattoos and facial jewelry look over at me and give me a very dirty look as if there was something that I've done or some kind of a vibe that I might have given to cause her to completely dislike me I don't know what the hell that was all about!!? I don't leave bad reviews if I don't like a place I just don't go back and this is a place that I will not go back tohowever this had to be said I'm sure I'm not the only person that has ever had this experience but just stop a treatment at this place I hope things get better. Please try workplace anger /resentment management.

McKenzie C.

Yelp
Coma coffee is a really cute coffee place near the galleria. I think it is a perfect place to go if you need to get some work done because of its many windows and seating areas. Though it can sometimes be a bit crowded, the workers there are super friendly and the coffee they serve has always been better than normal cafes. Their espresso tastes nutty and sweet and they also serve light breakfast items if you wind up getting hungry while working. Overall I think it's a good place to bring a friend for a chat or to spend some time on a date with yourself!

Quyen H.

Yelp
This coffee shop is an amazing place to meet up with friends for breakfast/brunch, or just to sit down to read/ work. It's situated on ground level of an office building. The service is good and prices are reasonable. I usually just stopped by to grab a matcha latte or oat latte to go, so I haven't tried their food yet. I like that they use robusta coffee which offers the classic and nostalgic taste of Vietnamese coffee- bold with notes of dark chocolate and nutty. Their signature drinks are very creative and seasonal. It's also nice that they have delicious vegan muffins and some gluten free options. The line here can be super long between 8-9am, and parking can be tricky sometimes.

Angelina L.

Yelp
Coma Coffee is such a gem!! The menu is loaded up with tons of unique drinks and eats. Coma is nestled in a large building directly across from the Galleria. The building has TONS of parking which is great so you don't have to stress about where to park. It can get pretty busy in there but they do have lots of seating on both floors. The service is always great. The baristas are knowledgeable and helpful.

Güneş Ö.

Yelp
We came here around 10am on a sunday. This place is inside of a building. Could be an option for remote work. They have outdoor tables facing to a parking lot. We ordered black coffee, wasn't fresh. They forgot to bring them with our food. Neither Breakfast hash bowl with brussel sprouts nor original avocado toast was good. Brussels sprouts weren't cook all the way. Paid $30 for all these. Not sure what is special about this place.

Amy F.

Yelp
Decided to try this place because it had really good reviews and was a little surprised to find it on the main floor of an office building. The upside is that there was plenty of parking on a Sunday morning! The space is very open, plenty of tables, bar spaces, and a mezzanine area with comfortable seating. My friend and I placed our orders and took a seat at a table. We ordered a chocolate orange latte and an iced latte with extra caramel. Both coffees were delicious, but the food really surprised us. I had toast with peaches, goat cheese, and balsamic drizzle. The flavor was outstanding. My friend had the breakfast sandwich and it was a perfect balance of sweet and salty with egg, bacon, and cinnamon butter.

Christina Z.

Yelp
I grabbed the S'mores Latte and it was delicious!! Sweet and you could taste all the flavors inside. There's not a lot of tables and space to sit during peak times and it's a bit loud. Great place if you're catching up with friends but maybe not to get work done.

Anna C.

Yelp
I got a London fog latte and loved it! The staff are friendly and there's a cute area to wait for your drinks- and it doesn't take long!

Timothy B.

Yelp
Wait for food is over 30 minutes today. My partner got a pumpkin muffin and coffee. Muffin was favorful, I enjoyed it. My partner said the coffee was awesome. There are always great desserts here, today we were looking at chocolate chip cookies.

Quynh N.

Yelp
My favorite work-cafe!! I love to come here to work/study because of their spacious place and big windows full of light. The drinks are always creatively good. Their menu is frequently updated so I always got to try new things every time. Great staff! Coma can be very crowded on the weekend

Jessica M.

Yelp
Cute little place first time there went around noon placed was packed upstairs and downstairs, tried Brussel hash just ok some of the Brussels were a little hard, but the coffee was amazing. The pancakes were alright as well.

Michelle W.

Yelp
Stopped by for caffeine on the way to the airport. Love the decor and aesthetic of this coffee shop, very modern and vibrant. I ordered an iced chai latte and my partner ordered a cappuccino. We also got a lemon blueberry scone, which was so delicious and moist. The chai was good, I just prefer my chai lattes on the sweeter side. Overall, great experience and would come back!

Yan C.

Yelp
Dare I say COMA makes some of the best coffee in the city?! Now that I've moved out of state, I miss it even more. I've been here several times and never had an espresso drink that I didn't like. Besides coffee, they also make a fantastically refreshing and delicious iced strawberry matcha. If you're hungry, there's a variety of food and pastry items. I am a fan of the breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito. It's hard to resist hanging out here for a few hours reading a book or quietly studying on a laptop. Better get here early to find a seat. It fills up fast! *Pro tip* sign up for their email list/rewards program -- they often send coupons, which will only bring you back to visit more... it's a win-win.

Linda S.

Yelp
I'd been wanting to try this place since it opened based on positive reviews. I finally went with 2 friends on a weekend for breakfast/brunch. The menu looked amazing, the food itself was okay. My problem with them was all in the delivery and attitude. I will give them that they were working hard and said they were understaffed by 3 people, but I was still unsatisfied after taking that into account. You order at the counter, standing in a line, and get a number for your food/order. When I asked if all 3 of us could be under the same number they said no, because the food orders might come out at different times. Our food came out at tremendously different times, and my food arrived well before my tea. They'd told me to wait at the counter for my tea, so my meal sat at the table for quite a while before my tea was finished steeping behind the counter. Then I ate my food for about 5 minutes before my friends' meals even arrived at the table. There were people at indoor tables alone on their computers, one was by herself at a 6 top and ignored the line of people waiting for places to sit. All in all I did not enjoy the food well enough to return here after having a pretty poor experience. And one last thing, since you order and pay up front at the counter I had pre-paid a really generous tip which I regretted after this experience. I'm a decent tipper, but they did not live up to the 25% that I gave them at the counter.

Rena W.

Yelp
Coma is the epitome of everything I look for in a coffee shop. There's plenty of seating with natural sunlight, easy parking, plenty of coffee (and alcohol) options, and MOST IMPORTANTLY great food. Their food is comparable to that of any sit-down restaurant, beyond what I would expect from a coffee shop. There's even weekday happy hour from 3-6PM M-F. I usually get their smash burger, garlic fries, or chicken and waffles. I usually see a lot of people there working. There's a lot of counter space with easy outlet access. The upstairs seating area has large tables but no outlets. It does get pretty loud sometimes so I would not take meetings here.

Ellie S.

Yelp
Coma coffee is a favorite. Their coffee is often used in many coffee shops across St. Louis. Their drinks are incredible - always full of flavor. The seasonal iced strawberry matcha was delicious - and I don't normally like matcha! Their breakfast options are filling and tasty. The breakfast sandwich comes on another local favorite - companion bakery. You must stop in!

Amanda D.

Yelp
Always love this spot! Friendly staff, tasty and fresh food, healthy options & more unhealthy options available, the music was a lowkey indie vibe, and lots of space upstairs and down. This time we tried the plant based pulled pork sandwich (this month's special) -- it was not soy based, but made with mushrooms and miso paste, 10/10, yes. Do it. So delicious. And we had the honey hot (grilled) chicken tacos... which slapped.
