College Park

A wonderful area to just walk around and absorb the local scene. They have plenty of little shops and restaurants in the area if you want to stop in anywhere that catches your fancy. There are also some art pieces on the roads and walls along the way, so be sure to stop and enjoy them! This road runs through the heart of College Park, which is a nice neighborhood off Edgewater. It's grown a LOT over the years and has a bunch of great additions. It's developed into a 'must-see' and 'nice to live in' spot, so go and check it out! Overall: A Lovely neighborhood with plenty to do. Check out the locals' spots and enjoy!

5 Stars for a Main Street neighborhood that slows down traffic for fabulous shops and great eateries, and a Main Street that puts on unforgettable events! College Park is know for being walkable and having a true Main Street of shops and restaurants. From vintage apparel stores, to the city's favorite pay-what-you-can coffee shop, to dentists and yoga, College Park has everything you could want from a neighborhood. The Main Street also puts together Jazz Fest and Spring Fest, among other great programming for residents and businesses. And notable also is the work that's been done on Edgewater that includes road-calming measures like bike lanes and a road diet to two lanes. It can serve as a model for the effects of slowing traffic down and prioritizing pedestrians and cyclists along with drivers. The businesses have thrived and it's safer- something I'd love to see with Corrine Drive or Mills (in Mills 50). A great neighborhood worth exploring and events worth your time!

My new neighborhood. I love it. This is a great little neighborhood chock full of local businesses, great people, nice neighbors and just a nice homey feeling. I can't get enough of the Main Street (Edgewater Dr.) running through, you have everything from some pretty great restaurants, plenty of yoga studios (YAY), to great resale shops, also some higher end decorator shops. There are also Farmers Markets and vegetarian friendly joints. I also do love riding my bike or walking everywhere, although it is mid-summer and I sometimes grudgingly go in my car. Many of the shops put out a bowl for your furry friend which is a huge plus. If you know me, you know that for the last 16 years I had missed a certain feel and way of life that in SoFla just doesn't exist and never will, and one of my best friends, after reading some of my reviews from here mentioned that it really seemed that I was now home. She was right. I am .. it reminds me so much of Edgebrook, IL (in the Chicago area) where I once lived, I can't even tell you how at peace I am. A sense of community, local businesses (many of which have a great social awareness like Credo Coffee), bicycle lanes, beautiful trees and lakes there is nothing I don't love about College Park.

Love me some College Park! They love their community as well and are always throwing some awesome events from street parties to shopping event. "Dancing on the Drive" "JazzFest" "Holiday on the Drive" "Edgewater Drive Farmer's Market" Some of my favorite stops in College Park are definitely Downtown Credo Coffee - Great working spot and it's non-profit... Community WIN! Balance Massage and Structural Bodywork - FAB acupuncture. Alchemy - Get my hair didz here. Infusion Tea - Farmer's Market on Thursdays! Artistree Co-Op - Such a fabulous store with all locally made art and gifts - run by the artists themselves. Modern Grace Boutique - Awesome jewelry and clothes! I spend a ton of time in College Park, love it, def check it out - you can spend the entire day here!!

I love College Park. It's one of the nicest Orlando neighborhoods. Edgewater Drive provides some great places to eat, shop as well as a plethora of services from personal fitnes, florist, barber and beauty services to watch repair and Good Will drop off. College Park also offers neighborhood eventa like Holidays on the Drive and more.

When I moved from Cookie Cutter SoFla to Orlando, I was specifically searching for a place where we could get away from the hustle and bustle, while still being close to the action, and I mean close as in walking distance close. College Park delivered with a bang ! With small independently owned restaurants, beautiful parks and lakes and just a couple of miles away from the action in Downtown Orlando. College Park is the ideal neighborhood to enjoy an active life. Catch me running around Lake Adair or Lake Ivanhoe any given morning, and of course Stand Up Paddleboarding in Lake Ivanhoe on the weekend, riding our bikes around the neighborhood in the evenings or just simply walking the dog. Spend more time around College Park, and you may just end up living here as well.

College Park is a nice community with nice house and looks like a good area to live as far as crime wise. I came here before but was here recently helping out my brother at his job. If you want a nice place to live, College Park is one of the place in Central Florida to live at.

Feels a little bit bohemian over here to me. This is a place where one can find people walking around with vintage clothing and a lot of feathers and flowers in their hair. I do enjoy the vibe in this area - seems to be a lot of yoga, artsy, eatery places. Some of my favorite spots in the area would be downtown Credo coffee, in addition to - oh my goodness! Is this not the only place I go to in College Park? It seems as if I usually just walk around and people watch. But if you're into that sort of thing, College Park could be the place for you.

College Park is one of my favorite Orlando neighborhoods. I especially love how the commercial district has been preserved and redeveloped. Bike riding through the residential streets by the lakes is another big plus for me. I miss the Blockbuster video store, we used to make a trek there to rent a video a few times per week. I am sad that that business model failed.

College Park has a lot of hipster, trendy shops and restaurants. It's a younger, trendier version of Winter Park, similar to Thornton Park. Some of the restaurants are worth trying -- like K Restaurant and Jade Bistro -- and they have some of the modern bar spots like Graffiti Junktion, the obligatory Irish pub Scruffy Murphy's, as well as two of the best bicycle shops in Orlando. Definitely a cool place to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner, or drinks. They have everything, and it's just a hop off I4. Parking can be an issue on the busy days/weekends, but it's not too terrible.

It's just so cute here. I love that they do a lot of community events where they shut down the street and bring out their living room couches. Thanks for the great community feel.

This is, by far, the most 'real' neighborhood in Orlando. It has a Main Street, families, businesses that are local, and tons of other things in its favor. Amazing place to live and play.
