"Carlsbad gets a new neighborhood burger joint with the upcoming opening of Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers set for Tuesday, October 29. Founded is Arizona, where there are 11 existing outlets, the eatery debuted in the Gaslamp back in 2016. It’s the fastest growing brand for Square One Concepts, the Scottsdale-based hospitality group that also runs several concepts in San Diego including downtown’s Bootlegger, Park 101 in Carlsbad, and the Pacific Beach Shore Club. Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers replaces 83 Degrees on Carlsbad Village Drive, spanning over 5,500-square-feet with a 2,000-square-foot, dog-friendly patio and seating for more than 300 diners. As the name suggests, the menu revolves around burgers — hand-formed, half-pound patties made from fresh ground chuck that are available in a dizzying 1,300 custom combinations of sauces and toppings; signatures include the Juicy Lucy, stuffed with cheddar-jack, and the Arizona burger topped with pepper jack, tomatillo salsa, and green chile. There are also starters like fried pickles and parmesan truffle fries plus salads, sandwiches, hot dogs, and a variety of mac and cheese. overall, it was a decent experience. The menu boasted an impressive variety of burgers and sandwiches, catering to a range of tastes. I appreciated the numerous options for customizing my meal, allowing me to build my own burger exactly how I wanted it. The selection of beers was also noteworthy, providing a good complement to the food. While the food quality was satisfactory, it didn’t quite blow me away. Nonetheless, the extensive menu and beer choices make it a solid spot for anyone craving a casual meal. I'd recommend it for a laid-back dining experience!

This was the place where my son brought us for lunch today. There's a free garage nearby for parking. We arrived at 2:30 p.m., but the restaurant was bustling with many customers. We were able to sit in the four-seater booth at the back. The Burger menu was so interesting that I didn't know which one to choose, so my son chose it. It was Bacon PB&J, also ordered Steakhouse, another Bacon PB&J, and Blue Moon beers. I ordered homemade potato chips, French fries, and coleslaw from Burger. It was my first time eating a burger with peanut butter & and jelly, but it was good!!! My son said he had eaten all the burgers here and they were all delicious. I want to try another burger again.

Great place to go for outdoor dining and watching sports. Plenty of TVs inside and out, and the food was pretty good. Came here for Valentine’s Day and got seated right away. Service was good. Will be back.

I'd like to give a golf clap to this Cold Beers & Cheeseburger location. It was a great experience the moment we walked in. The staff was courteous, respectful and attentive. The food we ordered was not burned and very flavorful. It really helped to enjoy the Arizona Diamondbacks ballgame, which was the reason why we were there.

Went here on a Tuesday afternoon. I was in town for business and wanted a burger. I'm glad I stopped by. Was not super busy. The waitress was very attentive and checked on us often. Would have been great to eat in the patio area, but it was way too hot(for me, at least). Our waitress suggested a few beers and then told me one of her favorite burgers was the PB&J burger. I never would have thought it was good, but I figured, why not give it a shot? I am glad I did! I wouldn't say try this at any restaurant, but the way it was made here was phenomenal! I would even say one of my top 5 burgers I've ever had. The way everything melted together was something you should try at least once if you can. Jose was also very nice and talked a little with me before I left. He is doing a great job with this establishment.

Great lunch restaurant with an extensive list of draft and bottled beers. BLT was loaded with bacon and the house made chips were really tasty and crunchy. Really good Cesar salad, fresh lettuce and tasty dressing. Unusual pairing of burger with PB & J somehow works. Recommended for a filling lunch.

First time at this CB&C. The General Manager is a customer first manager. He was kind and very helpful in getting his customers, not just me, but several parties after me taken care of. I had a group of people who got there early to have breakfast and watch the Parada Del Sol Parade from the outside patio. The breakfast menu was limited, but everyone in my party wolfed down all the food and the tater tots were fresh and hot. Our server was not attentive at all. Managers had to help with basic server functions. Yes it was a busy time with the Parade, but I saw adjacent servers wait on their tables better than ours did. I did like the pay by phone option that they have, I didn't have to wait for my waitress to not show up for 20 plus minutes to pay my bill. It would have been nice to have some sort of specials for the morning in honor of the parade. I would go back again, just for the location of the patio. Give them a shot.

Haven't been here for a year or so, but the burgers are not as good as I remembered. In fact not good at all. The beer was cold. Service was over the top Sasha did a great job. It might be the Ohio State flag hangs out front. Go Irish!
