5* specialty coffee experience, 3.5* food/dine in. I recommend this place as a beautiful spot to enjoy an ever changing coffee menu from roasters in Australia and beyond.
I enjoy their bar at the front with an espresso menu that changed frequently. Their default option is usually decent, and they stock more exotic/experimental options for the keen and interested. Staff are knowledgable and will help out, but it can get busy so don't take too long :).
They've recently stocked some heavily processed Yunnan catimors with strong flavors that go great in a latte.
They also have a guest bar at the back featuring foreign roasters, this is usually less busy. Overall its a great place to explore origins, processes, and roasteries! They also sell beans here. If you're looking for an offering from your want-to-try foreign roaster, they announce what they have on Facebook.
Onto food, I dined in once and I dont think I will again. Maybe their pastries yes. The menu left on our table was dirty, not a good look... The acoustics of the place also make it quite loud and it can be difficult to have a conversation during peak hours.
My duck crumpets egg had a strange texture to it, not sure why. I wouldnt get it again. French toast was nice and pretty. They have some other interesting menu items.
Pastries are genuinely beautiful; I got a pain au chocolat and it was pretty huge and awesome. Would love to try their other pastries for sure!!
Its also... interesting that they have a number of names in this shop. Whisk, Fika, Intersection, and another bar at the back which I forgot the namr of. Are they all the same thing??
