"Finally, located 20 miles southwest of the Atlanta airport, Cochran Mill Park is mostly flat land, which makes it great for beginners. The park features the ruins of three historical mills and a stunning waterfall."

Beautiful park with two different sections. Picnic areas with playground and restrooms on one side. Hiking trails and waterfall on the other. The waterfall is beautiful and views from the trails are really nice. Huge trees all over the park and seems to be the remains of an old mill by the waterfall and bridge. Very peaceful on both sides of the park. Saw people fishing in the creek and a nice swimming hole at the base of the falls.

Sunrise Hike Worth Waking Up For Praline and I visited Cochran Mill Park this morning for a sunrise hike, and it was absolutely beautiful. The trails were peaceful, the light through the trees was stunning, and there was plenty of space to roam and sniff—Praline was in her element! We’re always on the lookout for new spots to explore, and as someone who runs a dog walking and enrichment-focused business, I’m considering adding this to our day adventure lineup for client dogs. The variety of terrain and natural stimulation here is perfect for dogs who love to explore beyond the neighborhood sidewalk. Highly recommend for early risers and trail-loving pups alike! We’ll definitely be back.

The park was clean and neat. Thr parking is 5.00. it was some people there that biked and ran routes. It's a great place to be alone, but also meet people that have similar interests. The police was there for added security when I went on Saturday.

Beautiful spring day and the wisteria was in full bloom! If you have allergies, take your medicine of choice. There was a thick layer of yellow pine pollen on everything. The trails were extensive and well marked. If it's not marked, it's probably a deer trail.

Serene, natural green space, marked trails, exercise, photo ops, commute with nature, birding, cool under canopy, forest..all the things! The reason I couldn't give five stars was because the map that you are supposed to be able to use to direct you to ridge trail you want to traverse was difficult to understand. We wanted to enter the green trail, the shortest trail, but we couldn't for the life of us find out where it started. We stood there for way too long trying to figure it out. Not quite a first timer friendly map.

After a few scrolls on All Trails I stumbled upon Cochran Mill Green Loop. Cochran Mill Green Loop was easy to find as it sits right off the main roadway. The parking is ample (and paid) and has space for horse trailer parking as well. As I arrived at the main area I took a moment to review the board. The board educated me that there were multiple trail options. Also, the routes vary by skill level and miles. I was so excited. As today was my non-gym day I decided to go for the Yellow Trail as it is Moderate in effort and is 3-4 miles. I was slightly confused at first, however, there was an entry to the trail towards the back of the parking area. Once I found it, it was all go from there. LoL! The trail was easy to follow as the path is easily identifiable. The woods are quiet and personal. There was a sense of peace as I was walking through the woods. The different levels of elevation provide for an enhanced view of the general area. I’m talking absolutely gorgeous. The spots of water provide a moment of serenity as you get lost in the sounds of water going down the stream. The path was fun as it was up, down, and all around. I had a blast. Truly, a blast. As I was getting to the end I got lost. lol. Thanks to All Trails for tracing my route as I was able to retrace my steps. Next time I’ll pay better attention to where I parked so I can know where to go back to. Ha!! Today was amazing. Great air. Great trail. Great time.

This is a really nice park. It has a few trails and is pet friendly. There's a waterfall and the whole place is nicely kept.
