Discover a vibrant blend of chic boutiques and lively eateries nestled in repurposed 19th-century warehouses at King's Cross, a must-visit for style and ambiance.
"An area in King's Cross that runs a walk-in open-air cinema throughout the summer, showcasing popular films."
"Japanese-enthusiasts look this way. Or, head to Coal Drops Yard on Saturday or Sunday. This weekend there’s a shōtengai-inspired market. Shōtengai is basically a pedestrianised street market and this interpretation will see a mix of traders selling Japanese homeware, food, and other bits and bobs. The whole thing is curated by Beams, which is a cool clothing and lifestyle brand, so there will almost definitely be something that catches your eye. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
"Ever since the Eurostar undersea rail link between Paris and London rolled into Kings Cross St. Pancras station, the formerly down-and-out neighborhood of Kings Cross has experienced a total transformation. Abandoned railway land with disused gas tanks now has been turned into new offices, shopping areas, fountains, apartments, green spaces, and more. There are posh supermarkets in converted train sheds, the coveted Central St. Martins London School of Art and Fashion, artisan restaurants like Hicce, and trendy ice cream shops like Ruby Violet. Granary Square, north of the station and surrounded by restored warehouses, has a 1,000-jet fountain that's great for kids, as well as canal-side, amphitheater-style seating. There’s also the gorgeous revamped Camley Street Natural Park, which is packed with stunning wildflowers and urban biodiversity. Google is building their London headquarters here, an office complex that is supposed to be so state-of-the-art it will reinvent everything we know about workplaces. Add starchitect Thomas Heatherwick's stunningly designed Coal Drops Yard, former coal sheds that are now a super desirable luxury shopping and eating indoor and outdoor destination space, and you no doubt want to hang out at this development in what was once a dark and dusty neighborhood." - Ramsay Short, Sonya Barber

"Drinking mulled wine and feeling mighty fine. There you go, we’ve sorted your Instagram caption out for when you go to this market in King’s Cross and get merry on mulled wine circa 5pm and buy your mate a knitted bonnet ‘lol’. The Christmas Canopy Market is running all the way to Christmas Eve with festive treats, indie designers, handmade gifts, and, importantly, lots of twinkly lights. There’s also a curling bar and an installation called The Prism Tree, which sounds both mythical and exactly like the kind of thing you’re going to attempt to climb after too many clementine gins. Make us proud." - heidi lauth beasley
