Club Tee Gee is a nostalgic dive in Atwater Village where you can kick back, dance under disco balls, and enjoy live music in a lively, unpretentious vibe.
"Every Sunday and Monday night there’s a live music act performing under the disco ball at Club Tee Gee. The musicians range from acoustic duos to disco pop vocalists, and there’s usually a decent-sized crowd here to discover new music. This legendary drinking spot in Atwater Village also hosts monthly dance parties, weekly karaoke nights, and the occasional restaurant pop-up, so be sure to follow their Instagram for updates. "There are a lot of dive bars in Atwater Village, and as you can imagine, not all of them are winners. Club Tee Gee is the antidote to all that. After a major renovation in 2018, the 70-something-year-old drinking spot returned with a banging roster of live music, monthly dance parties, and karaoke nights. Musical acts range from all-night disco parties to record-spinning cowboy DJs, black leather booths line the walls, and there’s a nice, spacious patio in the back. It’s the perfect under-the-radar neighborhood hang, the kind of place we wish we didn’t have to tell you about." - arden shore, sylvio martins, brant cox
"Club Tee Gee is a fun bar where disco dance parties, comedy shows, karaoke nights, and live country bands collide. So the next time you want to get a little weird near Atwater Village, head to this 75-year-old watering hole. Most of the events are free, and the crowd is a mix of people who actually dance under the spinning disco ball inside. Club Tee Gee can get very loud and super cramped on weekends, but they've got a covered patio in the back where you can get some air and cool off. "Around since 1946, Club Tee Gee is maybe the best way to end a raucous evening in Atwater. This neighborhood pillar has a front door plaque proclaiming it’s “The Cheers of Atwater Village” and it’s hard to argue. It’s the right kind of throw back, with green leather booths and vintage memorabilia with some Sinatra on the jukebox and a plethora of regulars. Get lost with some friends here because you’ll feel no need to leave for hours…in part because the prices do not feel anywhere near LA. Soon enough everyone will know your name, unless you start whining about the lack of finely crafted microbrews or try to pay with a card. Just be cool, relax and bring some cash. It’s old school." - Brains on Fire

So the next time you want to get a little weird, this is exactly where you need to be. Most of the events are free, and the crowd is a mix of people who will actually dance under the spinning disco ball. The party won’t stop until 2am on any given night, and chances are, you’ll meet someone who’s hosting an afterparty at their apartment. " - brant cox, nikko duren
