Cinelounge® Tiburon

Cute and cozy privately ran theater that really focuses and brings you back to the cinema. Located in the cute town of Tiburon, the cinema is located where the private paid parking lot is. This is a place that you’d want to go for a date night or try something new, you can host events and parties here too but I think this theater won’t get too crowded. They have a number of couches and seats and a whole option of food and drink items to order. The owners are super friendly and enthusiastic and really built this place up. I don’t think they have many commercials that play on in the beginning. I would def come back to enjoy another movie here!

What an incredible little theater and so much more! It has such a cool retro vibe, intimate boutique feel, and none of the overly expansive, cold impersonal feel of yesterdays theaters. The chairs and couches are brand new and cozy and clean. There is no bad seat in the house, and the food and drinks (although I didn’t have any) look excellent. Took a friend visiting from out of town and I’m so glad we made that choice over any of the others. It just feels good and makes an impression. I loved this little place so much I signed up for newsletters and hope to visit a community event or another show soon.

My favorite cinema/movie theater in the area. Their food menu is great… I mean caviar and chips! Great craft and regular beer selections with wine. The movies that they play are great and sometimes have independent movie showings. Seats are comfortable either a love seat or armchair with pillows. Enjoy coming here to watch a movie and supporting local business.

Pleasantly surprised! Friendly staff, comfy reserved seating, many food/drink options, and a very good movie. A lovely Tiburon evening in a quaint theater!

I like what they are trying to do - provide a unique movie-going experience. The decor is very retro and fun. Decent food and drink menu (but wine is $18 a glass). That's pretty much where the pros end. Expect to pay for parking, it was $9 for the lot outside the theater. There is some nearby street parking but it is limited. Under-staffed - there was no one at the front to check my ticket. You could just walk in if you wanted to. I wanted to go to the Cinelounge to check out the puffy arm chairs they advertise. Instead, the movie played in the Lagoon Room had the most uncomfortable lounge chairs I've ever had the displeasure of being stuck in. Left with a back ache. Should have stayed home.

This "Cinelounge" concept is a great idea in theory: restoring old theaters to their former glory with modern touches and luxuries. Unfortunately, this place misses the mark - particularly for the cost. I spent $145 on this movie experience; around $45 for tickets for 2 and then about $100 on food when we arrived (oh, I forgot the parking; so add $9 - this should be included). Wine was $21, but it was a hefty pour so I could overlook that. What I couldn't overlook was ordering a pepperoni pizza, receiving the margherita, being grilled about whether or not I was "sure" I ordered the pepperoni, returning the pizza, only to have it returned with exactly 8 pepperonis on it - which had clearly just been placed on the original margherita pizza. The pizza was cold with slightly warm pepperoni added. Not great at all. The popcorn was yummy, though. If you're advertising a luxury movie going experience, make it that. Otherwise, people like myself leave feeling scammed. I look forward to giving it another try when the service and subsequent overall experience have improved. *** update re response from owner on 2/24/25: rather than gently address what was ultimately an unsatisfactory experience for their guests the owner insists that this review was a "slur" and asked if I ate all of the pizza that I paid for. Wow. So far, my hopes for improvement in service have been dashed, but let's see if they are able to come around to improve service some time down the line. I'm rooting for you guys!

Not really the experience I thought it would be. The Cineloinge popcorn was sold out and so was the pizza, there was only be one person working so if they were checking in tickets, you needed to wait for food. I thought there was an option to have food delivered to your seat based on what I'd seen online but I was told that was only through door dash. It just all felt very off, cool decor but the concept felt incomplete.

Very cute atmosphere and decor. The staff seemed like they needed more help during a busy rush, they were a bit dismissive. The theatre seating was not clearly labeled and someone had taken my seat (the seats are reassigned when you buy the ticket). It caused a bit of a distraction and missed the beginning of the movie. Would help in the future to have more clear labeling on the rows to avoid this.
