Ciccio Cincin is the West Village's newest culinary gem, offering a stunning space where inventive Italian dishes meet a charming vibe and killer cocktails.
"Within five minutes of sitting down at Ciccio Cincin, an Italian restaurant in the West Village, we witnessed a couple getting engaged. Despite being a brand new restaurant, it felt totally appropriate. Candle light that bounces off concrete walls, music that’s present but not so loud that you can’t tell someone how much you love them, and a cocktail list full of negronis make this a solid spot for a date—whether or not you’re asking someone to get married. The food menu here isn’t necessarily your standard West Village Italian offering. It comes from the people behind Ciccio in Soho, but here, Chinese flavors are incorporated into the menu. Think cacio e pepe with Sichuan peppercorns, and jiaozi dumplings filled with a wild boar cinghiale sauce. Some of these combinations don’t quite hit, like a miso roasted eggplant that clashed with the freshly grated black truffle on top, but we loved the mafalde, which had a rich duck ragú spiked with fruity hoisin and sautéed napa cabbage. photo credit: Patrick Dolande photo credit: Patrick Dolande photo credit: Patrick Dolande" - Will Hartman
