Churrería El Moro

As you can see in the photos and videos this place has been open since 1935. The hot chocolate is to die for, and the churros are fresh and hot!!! I added a couple of videos to prove it. We went on a Saturday night and had to wait almost an hour for a table. Believe me it is worth the wait, BUT, if you can't wait or want to slurp and walk the the park across the street it's about a 20-30 minute wait in line. We had the Español hot chocolate and our friends had the Mexican chocolate. We share a dozen churros between us for 297 pesos.

I'm not sure why the hype. They are good, but I have tried better churros in Mexico City. Maybe I am too picky. Excessive suggar and cinnamon. Sauces were okay not excellent.

My very first Mexican churros y chocolate were courtesy of this churreria. This is about 15 minutes on foot from the Philippine Embassy and a favorite go-to place for legit Mexican chocolate and churros. We were attended immediately by the staff to take our orders. The churros were longer and crispier than those in the Philippines. Sprinkling cinnamon sugar might not be a good idea when the churros are paired with hot chocolate. It would be better to have it plain so as not to be insanely sweet.

Going to comment on the food only since my daughter brought it back to the house, really delicious chocolate from someone from Oaxaca y los churros están bien chingones!

I'm not sure why this place got high reviews, it was not worth the 30 minute wait for me! Firstly, the staff were super slow. You have to wait in line to order and then you have to wait in another line to pick up your order. I was super confused as to why the staff were soooooo slow. The guy taking the orders at the till would intermittently disappear, and costumers would just stand in line waiting. And then they brought out a huge plate of churros and placed it on the counter but they waited 10-15 minutes to hand out the churros to people. It was just a poorly run system and people in line were starting to give up and leave. Because they just left the churros on the counter, by the time you get your food it's cold. I would rather get churros at a stand and have them given to me fresh and piping hot!!

Very nice churros, very relaxing place with the park view, coffee and Lechero was great too, highly recommended.

Churros are delicious (we’ve had them before) but the service is terrible. We waited in one line to order and pay then moved to a second line to wait for the order. Tonight they kept prioritizing the uber eats drivers who were coming in for large orders and so the people in line stood waiting for their orders about 30 min. At least 8 people left including us, so lucky Churreria Moro - they got to keep the money from all the frustrated customers who walked away with no product.

Wonderful ambiance, wonderful service! Try the churros de temporada, I visited last week and they already had the día de muertos flavor... amazing!!!
