Ponchos MachuPicchu Restaurante

The hospitality was exceptional, and our waitress Yurema was attentive and friendly. I tried the Cuy risotto, which was absolutely delicious, and the tender meat paired with the curry sauce was delightful. The hot soup was also fantastic. Overall, it was a memorable meal, and I highly recommend visiting Ponchos!

The food was great and Abel was an amazing server. We had the ceviche and the tuna salad appetizer. Both were delicious. Grilled steak was cooked perfectly and the pasta tasted awesome. Very happy with our experience and strongly recommend it.

As soon as we walked in Yuliana, server, was very friendly with a big smile and helpful with food and cocktail recommendations. We ordered chicken curry (a staple we have had previously), and the alpaca tartar which was a first for us - both were delicious. Great food, great cocktails, great service - highly recommend. (Oh - they also charged my nearly flat phone while we dined - very helpful).

Good tasting alpaca meat cooked medium, but very small portions of meat for the price. Got the Alpaca with Fungie sauce dish. Paid 65 sols for 2 pieces of 100g each (doesn’t help that the meat looks like poop sticks and appear to be much smaller than that). Pasta was nice and flavourful. Basically, this restaurant is an overpriced tourist trap like most things in Aguas Calientes.

This one of the best places we ate at Aguas calientes. The food was great every hut ing came out delicious and the server INES was super attentive and made sure all our food was great. The seco was delicious, lomo was even better and the burger and chicken were great. I opted out of the flame and tequila but the chicken was extra juicy and cooked to perfection.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Peru! Our waitress, Yubia, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and provided attentive, thoughtful service—even helping us capture some beautiful lunch photos. I ordered the pulpo, paired perfectly with creamy Huancaina pasta, and my partner chose the pork belly. Initially, we were told it was unavailable, but then they went above and beyond, going out to get it for us. Talk about exceptional service! The food was absolutely delicious—by far the best meal I’ve had in Peru—and Yubia’s hospitality made it even more special. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Great restaurant. The pasta with beef steak in argentine sauce was really good. I ordered camu camu soda but my friend ordered the blueberry soda as recommended by Yubia the server and shes right i should’ve ordered that. The ambience, location and vibe were excellent and our server Yubia was exceptional!
