"After a stroll through the gorgeous gardens at Cheekwood, and a tour of the historic mansion atop the hill, there’s nothing better than a spot of tea. Head down to Cafe 29, located across from the historic stables for trays of petite, savory tea sandwiches, pastries, and tea served on china. The treats change seasonally, as do the mansion exhibitions, which include floral and art exhibitions that pair perfectly with a leisurely afternoon at Nashville’s only botanical gardens. Tea service is $50 (including mansion and gardens admission) for members; non-member cost is $50 + garden and mansion admission fee." - Ellen Fort

"While Cheekwood has plenty to appeal to all ages, it’s great for little ones. The estate hosts Tuesdays for Tots year-round, and activities change weekly. It's a wonderful opportunity for little ones to roll up their sleeves and experiment with glue, markers, glitter, and paint. During June and July, Cheekwood offers summer camp to explore the gardens and make their own little masterpieces. "

"We’ve explored Cheekwood, which is a mansion and big property, like a botanical garden, but they have a huge light show right now. We walked around and toured the mansion, and they’ve got a Chihuly exhibit along with their holiday lights, which is really lovely."

This was a great place to visit especially on a Tuesday. It was not that busy so it was easy to navigate and enjoy the beautiful grounds and mansion. All of the staff, from the parking attendants, gift shop employees, those who were working on the grounds, the docents in the mansion museum, and everyone we encountered were very friendly, helpful, compassionate and lovely to interact with. The gardens that we were able to explore were absolutely beautiful. I'm in a wheelchair so not every path or garden is accessible, but a great deal of the grounds and property are including the mansion. We enjoyed exploring and touring. What an interesting place with a fascinating history. Just beautiful!

Went here on a whim while visiting. We went on a weekday and they had their enchanted castle exhibit outside. The grounds were laid out beautifully with what appeared to be accessible for both wheelchairs and strollers. The Japanese garden was much smaller than expected and limited exhibits. Overall though it was a nice stroll through the gardens. Our daughter enjoyed the castle playground and the outdoor children's area.. We did have lunch at the cafe located inside the learning center. They had basic options like salads and sandwiches. For what we got it was probably not worth the price tag and I would recommend packing a lunch as there are ample picnic tables throughout. A decent day visit overall.

Such a lovely place! The flowers, the pathways, water fountains, play areas, everything is so well thought out and beautiful! Definitely go with plenty of time to stroll so you can hit all the little trails.

I took my grandsons 6 Mos, 3 and 5 for the castles exhibit. 5 different playhouses. They were really well done and not a lot of walking to enjoy them. Just down the hill we found the trains which they loved. All the children were yelling when they got to the trains because they were so magical. We got rained out so didn't see much of the gardens, but the gift shop had lots of kids books.

Beautiful spring day! Loved the colors, the walkways, it was all so nicely done! We enjoyed the grounds & the mansion, spent about 2 hours here. Will come again!

Cheekwood Estate & Gardens is truly one of the most iconic event venues in Nashville. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, with beautiful gardens, historic architecture, and endless photo opportunities around every corner. Wed Society Nashville hosted our inaugural Book of Weddings magazine release party at Cheekwood, and the experience was exceptional. Their team is professional, attentive, and detail-oriented, making every part of the event seamless. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or the wedding of your dreams, Cheekwood offers an experience that is second to none. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind wedding or event location!

This is one of our favorite places to go to get into nature, as my granddaughter calls it. Today there were castles, there's always something fun and interesting. We could walk for hours.

Great casual adventure. Weekdays are good times. I recommend calling to learn about foot traffic before going. Good weather and holidays bring out the people. BUT be aware this is also a very popular destination for school field trips.

Yelp
A hidden gem in a city full of fast paced living! Cheekwood is an oasis that provides a safe haven of life and history! There's not very many places you can go within city limits that you can find peacefulness in nature. I love Cheekwood because of the variety and range of things you can see, do, and experience! I highly recommend taking the tour of the mansion! I went during the fall harvest and the decor and everything going on there was amazing! All of the pumpkins were for purchase and there were great options for anyone and everyone!

Yelp
We visited Cheekwood to see the Christmas decorations and Holidays at the White House Exhibit. We met Linda at the mansion entrance. She was very friendly and helpful in recommending that we take the guided tour. My daughter has done the self guided audio tour before. She said it was ok. Leanne was our wonderful guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable. There was only one couple with us. We learned so much about the family history and details of the mansion's design. My daughter enjoyed it much, much more than the audio. The tour ended upstairs where we started with the exhibits. It was a cold weekday so visitors were few and spread out. We were often by ourselves in each room. It was so nice to take our time admiring the decorations and artwork. Taking pictures was easy without waiting for people to move out of view or from a popular spot. Because of the 10th anniversary, Laura Dowling was hired to decorate the mansion. She was once the Chief Floral Designer for the White House. She and her team did an amazing job. Every room was themed and just spectacular. We walked to the Holiday Market after the mansion, then through the garden, ending at the Garden Shop. Parking is free just a short walk from where the tickets are bought. They can also be purchased online with an added service charge. It was a beautiful, but cold day at Cheekwood. We hope to return in the Spring when the garden is in bloom.

Yelp
After living in Nashville for 3 years, we finally made our way to Cheekwood, and we are glad we finally did! We visited during the holiday light tour and also decided to check out the mansion to scope out the phenomenal work of Laura Dowling, the former White House Floral Designer who created this years displays throughout the home. The outdoor light displays were excellent - simple yet elaborate, with lights that stretched from the grass all the way up to the trees. Inside the mansion, the decorations were as beautiful as expected, and while we were captivated by the holiday touches, the history of the house was equally fascinating. The staff were exceptional, from the parking lot attendants to the ticket sales team, the guides, and the shop workers. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Oh and who doesn't love a boozy hot chocolate while wondering around looking at lights while it snows?! Overall, great experience and happy we decided to do the light and mansion tour. I recommend making sure to add the mansion to whatever event or tour you opt for when visiting!

Yelp
This place is truly magnificent. We could have spent the entire day here just wandering through all the differerent paths in the garden. My sister and I loved finding all the trolls on our walk! We also loved going through the art museum. Part of it was closed when we went because they were setting up for a new exhibit

Nicole S.

Yelp
Cheekwood is honestly one of my favorite places in Nashville. I think it's because it's so close to everything, and yet a world away from honky-tonk row. This botanical garden is tucked into the Belle Meade(ish) neighborhood just southwest of downtown Nashville. It's a botanical garden, arboretum and museum all rolled into one. And it's especially great for families! The Bracken Foundation Children's Garden is where you will want to visit first if you have young children. This is a hands-on outdoor space for the whole family that invites kids to play and learn at every turn. The children's garden is perfect for younger children to explore nature, stroll along a storybook path, follow an obstacle course that weaves through the garden, and lots more. This is also where you'll find the Turtle Pond, with 20 native turtles swimming and basking in the sun. Follow the storybook path to the TRAINS! outdoor exhibit and the Enchanted Express, a space for train lovers to play. This garden features a train station that kids can play inside, and a huge model train track. Kids can climb through the children's tunnel to an observation dome for an up-close and immersive view of the garden and forest. They also have rotating outdoor art exhibits. When I visited, all along the Ann & Monroe Carell Jr. Family Sculpture Trail were huge trolls. The "Trolls: Save the Humans" exhibit was installed here, featuring six giant trolls displaying good stewardship toward the earth and its resources. The property used to belong to the Cheek family, who lived in the huge estate that's still on the grounds. It's now a museum, and you can go inside and peek at all of the lovely furniture and artwork they amassed over the years. The upstairs area of the house/museum was being used as a gallery for permanent and rotating exhibitions. Cheekwood is a wonderful place to visit for the day. I had so much fun just wandering around the gardens and looking at the flowers and landscaping. It's really peaceful and beautiful, and I highly recommend visiting when you're in Nashville.

Yelp
Cute little ( just kidding, massive) place to spend the afternoon. Lots to look at but bring your walking shoes! We went during October and they had a little pumpkin patch with pumpkins available for purchase. The prices seemed fair. If I was a local I would get a pass for here and walk it frequently like a zoo pass with kids. We enjoyed our time here and our workout lol.

Jose P.

Yelp
Cheekwood Botanical Gardens is a site to behold. You could easily achieve your 10,000 step daily goal, here. The site has a beautiful mansion,, which you could tour, and there are plenty of staff members throughout the site, to answer any questions. When we arrived, Cheekwood was preparing for their Christmas season. Workers were stringing lights, as far as the eye could see. They do a great job at preparing different themes, as you make your way through each section of the gardens. I was impressed with the landscaping and their cleverness, with how they constructed areas so ornately. You definitely have to dedicate some time and visit Cheekwood. You will be amazed at the beauty, ingenuity, and charm of these gardens.

Randi B.

Yelp
I was really excited to visit Cheekwood, all the pictures I saw online looked beautiful and I thought it would be nice to spend an afternoon walking around their gardens. It wasn't. Honestly, I don't even know how big this place is, we were there barely 40 minutes. Upon entering, directly to the right were some paths with "scarecrows" everywhere. They were all made by the local elementary school children. There were some flowers and plants along the paths, but nothing special. As we kept walking down these paths and passing hoards of kids, we decided to ditch this area and go somewhere else. I think there was a toy train at the bottom of the hill for kids to look at? We walked over to the pumpkin area, and while the pumpkin houses were cool, once you've seen them, there isn't anything else to do. This place seemed to be geared towards kids. Pretty much everybody there were moms or grandparents with their little ones running all over the place screaming. It cost $44 for us to get in, seemed like a total rip off to me.

Yelp
Cheekwood was the residence of the late founder of the Maxwell House Coffee brand. Now a small art museum, the home has many of its original fixtures and, on this latest visit, is displaying a rotating exhibition of art. The grounds offer a vast array of native flora and fauna. The animals we saw were birds and rabbits. I have visited Cheekwood on several occasions. They put on a good show of holiday lights and decorations for the holiday season. During spring, the flowers bloom, and the rest of the year, they have varying events, including music, shows, and family-friendly activities. Cheekwood does keep a very active calendar. Usually, these events have food trucks, live music, and an onsite cafe. Pricing is inflated at the cafe. The administration to get into the gardens and house varies. They do offer discounts for age groups, military, and students. You can purchase tickets online, but it is highly recommended to purchase them in person. This is especially applicable when they host large-scale events. You do not have to print the ticket; you can take the QR code on your mobile device and show it to the window attendant when you arrive at the gate, and they will scan you in. It is a seamless process. Saves paper, too! Parking can be a royal pain. Cheekwood is located in a very hilly area. If you need extra assistance with mobility, ADA accommodations, or any other reason, call ahead to find out what services they provide to make your visit easier. Going around the house and gardens is accessible but could be very strenuous for some. Use your best judgment. ADA parking spaces are available, yet, they are limited. I hope you can check out Cheekwood! It is a lovely place. Pending the weather, I would recommend planning 3 hours for your visit if it is only adults. If you bring children, it may vary depending on their age. Strollers are welcomed and they do have some children activities. Check the website for more information.

Yelp
No matter the season, Cheekwood will "light up you life" in many, many ways. While most of our trips have been during daylight hours throughout the seasons and the years....with flowers blooming in a rainbow of colors, trees displaying their greens, and yellows, and ochres, and reds....this week we decided to visit "Holiday Lights." So, during this visit...even in the dark of night, we were presented a gift of dazzling and sparkling lights throughout the grounds. From the red and whites of the entry area to just about every other color imaginable in a multitude of configurations on the ground to eye-level to far above your head, Holiday Lights glimmered and glowed with the magic of the seasons. Cheekwood Staff also displayed their unmatched courtesy and assistance from providing timed entrances via a very well-orchestrated operation that went smoothly and kept crowding to a very tolerable level. Parking assistants politely directed me to Assisted Parking near the entrance (my mobility is limited these days). Clearly visible arrows in circles painted on the paved walkways guided visitors throughout the acres of magical displays. Patrons spaced themselves fairly well throughout the venue. The only lines (short as they were) cropped up periodically at the Hot Chocolate and Concession stands. Thus, for our family...the Holidays started Merry and Bright.

Yelp
I've been to cheekwood a handful of times whenever they have special events. And every time I've gone I've had a wonderful time! The exhibits they schedule are fantastic and are perfect for everyone. It's very easy to navigate around the grounds and there's things to see everywhere you look. I will say when it's hot you don't seem to get much of a breeze even though you're in open space, so bring a little fan with you and water.

Sharon B.

Yelp
Beautiful blooms in March! We had a great day exploring at Cheekwood. What a peaceful and beautiful little piece of heaven right here in Nashville! It was not too crowded on a weekday and quiet enough where you can hear the birds sing. Loved the tulips in bloom and can't wait to come back in a few months when the trees and grass add a lush green backdrop to the already beautiful views.

Savanna N.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. A must when visiting Nashville. Make sure you give yourself about 2-3 hours of time to explore the estate/gardens. The mansion is a definite must to check out (different price than just going around the grounds). It is not only a well "preserved" example of the architecture/lifestyle of the 18th-early 19th century but it is also equipped with an art gallery inside the mansion. They have a beer garden that's only open on the weekends but there's a cafe that's usually open, it wasn't when I came because of a private event. It's kid friendly and they have a cute little interactive area with trains running (weather depending). These grounds are a wonderful place to take a stroll, relax and listen to the birds sing. Gorgeous flowers, greenery and art installations all over. They even have events and seem to rotate some sculptures/artist year round. Such a peaceful place and I couldn't recommend this place more. Definitely takes you out of the city life and gives you a tranquil feel that you definitely won't regret. I understand why it's the top ten botanical gardens in the US. Lots of history and they really take care of the grounds. It is the perfect pairing of Mother Nature and man made art. This place is simply exquisite.

Aswathi C.

Yelp
Cheekwood Gardens: Cheekwood with its picturesque 1930s estate, with the 30,000 sq foot mansion and 55 acres of cultivated gardens, includes 13 distinct gardens and many trails. The Cheekwood Botanical Garden is a three-time USA Today Top 10 Botanical Garden winner. Walking through the 13 gardens and woodland sculpture trail truly gives a sense of reflection and peace. If you have children, make sure to go to the Turner Seasons Garden with the model trains. When I visited in May-Sep 2024 season, they had the trolls: save the humans by Thomas Dambo, features six young trolls who have noticed that the "small people" (what the trolls call humans) are disconnected from nature and have started harming the planet! The goal of the tribe is to help the humans rediscover nature and inspire them to be good stewards of earth. A unique outdoor installation, the TROLLS exhibition blends art, nature and messages of sustainability. Six giant trolls are intertwined with Cheekwood's unique gardens, trees and historic landscape for a one-of-a-kind storytelling experience.

Jeff D.

Yelp
Great Day to Tip Toe through the Tulips and Flowers. Take a walk on the grounds, they are beautiful! Great place to take pictures of flowers! Walking the grounds will take an hour or so. If you are hungry, there are a few Food Trucks and if you need a Cocktail there are 2 places to pick up a mixed drink or a beer (see pictures for menu). You will make brownie points with your Date, Wife or Mom if you spend an afternoon here with them!

Nava B.

Yelp
My husband thought that rationing three hours for the gardens was too long. Of course, we discovered it was too short a time to visit everything we wanted to see. This is a small and enchanting botanical garden. Each section is unique and wonderful. My favorites were the terraced garden, library garden, and Japanese Garden. I have never seen a library garden and it just made my heart smile. There are actual little laminated cards that you can sit and read if you have the time. There are so many other treasures that you can visit while you are there. There is an easily accessible cafe with bathrooms. Anyone in Nashville during the holiday season, who does not visit the gardens, is missing out on the magnificence of their holiday display. They were setting up for this event while we were there. It is something that should not be overlooked if you are in the area. It is their tenth anniversary for hosting this event and looks like it will be so special that you should consider yourself lucky to attend if you are in the area during this time. We feel sad we will not be there to enjoy this event.

Jaden B.

Yelp
My girlfriend has been telling me for months she's been wanting to visiting Cheekwood; since she likes botanical gardens. I've been wanting to go back since 2014-2015 when the photography club I was in in high school use to come here for a field trip. We're glad we came to Cheekwood on such a beautiful sunny day. Also, I proposed to my girlfriend of almost two years while we were here. I was supposed to propose in October when we were going to Graceland, but I couldn't wait.

Jasmine C.

Yelp
Ahh came here during the holiday season on the Late Night Holiday lights event which offers tickets at a discounted rate. With the discount, I don't think this was worth it. I expected more lights throughout the garden.

Parker S.

Yelp
Enjoyed a weekend event at Cheekwood in June that was based around classic cars. Beautiful display of cars from almost every era, drinks were themed around the event, and the cars were all local owners which I thought was really awesome. The Incredible Jaguar E-Type V12 and Porsche Speedster had to be my favorites. Very glad Cheekwood is hosting events such as this as history of these types of vehicles is very hard to come by and will continue fading away. The grounds of Cheekwood are beautifully up-kept and can be enjoyed year round with fun fall/winter events here as well. For anyone local or out of town I highly suggest visiting a Cheekwood event as your guaranteed to have a really great time!

Tammi W.

Yelp
Went here to see the current Thomas Dambo trolls exhibit. I love them and they were amazing. The garden is beautiful and what we explored of it was amazing!

Lacey A.

Yelp
I recently went to Cheekwood for the first time and had a blast. The gardens are beautiful and the trail is fairly long. It took about 3 hours for us to get through all of the gardens plus the mansion.

Sheri K.

Yelp
I loved all the trolls! The humidity killed us since we are from Arizona. God bless Linda on the second floor of the mansion! Great times.

Janeth D.

Yelp
It is one of my favorite spots in Nashville to go for a walk with art! They always have amazing art displays but by far my favorite time to visit in Christmas time!

Joe B.

Yelp
Cheekwood now has the works of Danish artist Thomas Dambo gracing its gardens. The 6 "Trolls" are positioned throughout the garden and are a delight to see. Of course the garden itself is lovely this time of year with all the beautiful flowers and plants. For those of us who are not members of Cheekwood remember that if you have a membership to another botanical garden in the country you may be able to receive free reciprocal admission. Do note that this only includes the gardens themselves as it's another $6 per person to tour the mansion. Still that's a bargain considering the cost of admission these days. Parking is free and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Exquisite gardens for all, a lovely Japanese garden, a Children's garden and a sculpture garden. The mansion is beautiful and houses fine art of both a permanent collection and a rotating collection. A nice cafe for lunch offers small bites as well as hot sandwiches and salads. It's quite good and has outside dining.

Amanda S.

Yelp
We went on a Thursday to tour the garden and mansion. Gardens were beautiful, it's just my vibe. The Troll exhibit was present and added a little bit of fun. The mansion was okay. Very cool house but filled with a plethora of odd artwork, almost too much. If someone asked, I would suggest just doing the garden part and skip the house.

Angie T.

Yelp
I'm sooo glad I made time to visit Cheekwood while I was visiting Nashville! I almost didn't because of time constraints, but the reviews and photos pushed me to make it a priority and so should you! I bet botanical gardens aren't the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Nashville but you're truly missing out of you miss Cheekwood! The day we went there was an exhibit with sculptures all throughout the grounds made entirely out of legos. It was so inspiring to see the talent the artist had. Even if there's not an exhibit there's so much to see and do here. Little hidden trails, beautiful flowers as far as the eye can see, a few playgrounds for the little ones and even some water fountains that you can actually play in! We went in August so all the seasonal summer flowers were in full bloom showing off, but I want to go again in the fall to see what kind of harvest mood the displays here will put me in and do not even get me started on how much I want to be here around Christmas! A must see in Nashville-no matter what the season.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Christmas at Cheekwood was magical! It was the perfect evening out with girlfriends!!

April M.

Yelp
More like Cheepwood This is not all that people, Andrew Jackson house was way better! This place is more for like if you wanna rent for a wedding reception or something extravagant like that, the gardens are far and few between and then there's not that many different flowers! They have one cute little part for the kids, but we don't have kids anyways it's way over priced to get in! For the money we have to pay to get in the cafe should be better, the gift shop should be bigger! On a good note, we did get ride on the golf carts to the gravel parking lot we had to park in! We didn't go in the mansion! Who's mansion anyways? ‍but I did take some cute pictures in the kids park!

Jillian F.

Yelp
The reviews nailed it! Perfect spot to enjoy with family and friends during the holidays. The lights were immaculate, and they even had s'mores and hot cocoa along the path. Found it to be a charming and adorable place!

Sean M.

Yelp
This is an amazing place to visit. I've been twice now. Once in the spring and I just visited again for their Holiday Lights event. All the places where flowers and gardens once were, have been replaced by a brilliant display of Christmas lights. If y'all have kids, this is somewhere they can run free and have a great time looking at lights. They have a couple of shacks that offer hot chocolate for the kids and a special treat for the adults, which includes alcohol. Whether you visit during the warmer seasons or the wintery months, Cheekwood always has gorgeous views. If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend you visit.

Joe M.

Yelp
Better than I expected. I expected a big house. There is one to tour and they talk about the history. I liked the nice gardens and outside areas to walk around and the extensive art exhibits on the 3rd floor the most. It is worth a visit once.

Gil S.

Yelp
Fun place to see has concerts and weddings and lots of art and gardens to see and everything is secure under Chief Chris

Sam K.

Yelp
My best friend and I went while the tulips were in full bloom and it was so nice. There was a showing for the daffodils that placed in competition and we came across some very beautiful blooms. There are some fun photo ops set up all throughout the park, too. As an out of town visitor, this is a place I recommend other visitors check out, especially if you're looking for a quiet afternoon stroll or picnic spot. Sam approved.

Barb E.

Yelp
Perfect place for kids. We saw trolls, a fawn, frogs, turtles, mini trains and lots of trees some climbable.

Michele C.

Yelp
Gardens were amazing an the Trolls by Thomas Dambo were amazing. I don't recommend the museum. Just Meh. Recommendation: Go to the gardens(we did 9am on Saturday) in the morning, drive down to Jefferson's in Brentwood for lunch(quiet on a Saturday), and then head down to Jack Daniels Distillery for a tour and tasting in the afternoon.

Mari B.

Yelp
This review is for their Holiday Lights event. First time going to this event and it was fantastic! We only did the gardens and not the mansion. It was busy but not crowded and we got there when it opened. Love that they have arrows on the ground to direct you. The lights are beautiful and lots of photo opportunities. It's festive and perfect to get you into the holiday spirit. A few spots to get beverages - we didn't partake in any this time, but normally their cocktails are great and so are their beers. Train area was super cute and so were all the beautiful trees. Some areas are closed off, but makes sense. As we were leaving the crowds were coming in and it was getting busier, as it gets later in the night. I wish they did more in the reindeer area, not much to see or do there, but probably do that because of the reindeer. Great way to spend a holiday season evening!

Monica W.

Yelp
I would just like to acknowledge when people are kind it counts. Had never been to Cheekwood during this time of the year but was thinking this would be a great place to take my niece for her birthday to get a few pumpkins and I was thinking they had a pumpkin trail etc. But i had GREAT help by Anna and she explained everything to me and was VERY helpful. I appreciate her and her kindness. We often hear so many negative comments for people but we do have people on jobs that are helpful, kind and considerate. Thank you again Anna for your help and kindness. Definitely did not go unnoticed. I would also like to say the guard was nice as well as we parked and got he pointed us in the correct direction and said it's a beautiful evening enjoy yourselves! Most times a guard is just that no question, no answer and not welcoming but he was and I hate I did not get his name. Thank you Cheekwood

Bell C.

Yelp
I love Cheekwood! Whatever time of year it is just GO! Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter for the Christmas trees, don't wait, just GO! Walk the grounds, have lunch, tour the home, GO! There is nothing not to like about this place! The gardens are beyond beautiful! You'll love it!

Cherelle J.

Yelp
Love this place and the holiday lights are even better. Definitely take the family or a cute date night.

Gabrielle V.

Yelp
Five stars for one of my favorite attractions in Nashville. The mansion is gorgeous and they have a ton of beautiful art pieces, most in the impressionist style. The styling of each room was gorgeous, & a nod to regency England. The fiberglass chandelier is beautiful as well. I absolutely loved the current Lego exhibit in the hardens and the grounds and trails were well taken care of. Had a wonderful visit and found it to be worth the admission cost. Parking was easy as was checking in with our pre paid tickets.

Nate M.

Yelp
Lego is poppin' at Cheekwood! Sean Kenny's Nature POP with Lego is pretty awesome. My son loved discovering the new animal statues while waking around the botanical garden and the many walking trails throughout the venue. His favorite statues were the lion and polar bear statues in the botanical gardens. We came on a Friday and it was still pretty busy, so I can only imagine the weekends are packed. Masks are required while indoors or closes proximity locations, but only suggested while outdoors. I recommend getting the Cheekwood Membership if you're going as a family, within three trips it will have paid for itself!

Dustin H.

Yelp
The grounds are gorgeous. This was our first visit and unfortunately though it was right at the suggested beginning of the "spring bloom" in reality that hadn't quite happened yet so we need to go back when it does. Still, a great place to walk and observe, what was in bloom was beautiful and there are some neat art exhibits to look at on the grounds. Price is a bit steep but fair. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Caroline L.

Yelp
The staff at Cheekwood is awesome!! The security guards were so nice and gave great insight on the art in the mansion. Beautiful inside and out! My only complaint is that the tickets are cashless and there is a $2 card fee no matter what so it's just even more money.

Caleigh J.

Yelp
No better way to spend a spring afternoon! The Cheekwood Botanical Gardens are a series of hidden gems stacked inside one another. The former estate features the central 1930s mansion complete with a view stretching to downtown Nashville, a black swan fountain, pool, ponds, and an art museum. The gardens are a botanist's dream! Within the 55 acres of Cheekwood, there are 12 different gardens and plenty of trails. Some areas are specifically playful & kid friendly! Overall, the landscaping, views, architecture, museum pieces, and history make for an afternoon well-spent! If you go, I'd set aside at least 3-4 hours, wear comfortable shoes, and maybe even pack a picnic!

Natajsia G.

Yelp
The gardens were absolutely stunning. We had accidentally booked for Sunday but we thought we got tickets for Saturday. We showed up on Saturday and the ticket office was so kind to us and allowed us to change our tickets to Saturday. Shout out to Anna who helped us immensely with changing the dates on our tickets with no extra cost. The flowers were so so pretty and there was so much to see! We also had tickets to tour the mansion which was a lot of fun. A bit crowded in the mansion in some areas but nothing too crazy. Took so many photos and had such a great time. Would definitely recommend!! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes!

Yelp
A highlight of our family trip to Nashville for Christmas! We went fairly late on Christmas Eve at 8:30 pm and it was so beautiful. We didn't go into the mansion but just walked around the grounds enjoying the stunning light displays. The holiday cocktails were not bad for what they are. I'd definitely return if I'm ever in Nashville again.

Yelp
Was in town visiting FIL. Happy to have found Cheekwood. Was totally worth the docent tour of the mansion.

Yelp
This estate and garden is one of a kind. It is a beautiful way to spend an afternoon. Lots of pathways, flowers, trees and history. Very festive events through out the year. Harvest and Holiday are a great to create memories galore.
