Chaolay Seafood Hua Hin

I had a wonderful seafood experience last night. I ordered way too much, but ate it all. I recommend the giant prawns because the accompanying pepper coconut sauce was amazing. All ingredients were fresh and cooked well. Different levels of Eng with the wait staff, but they were all helpful. I also appreciate as a solo diner they did not treat me differently. It’s all about the food. No bells and whistles here. a good idea to make reservations if you know the date and time of your visit because it’s nice to sit out on the open patio with the cross breeze.

Decent food, good service and great views! Open air seafood restaurant right on the ocean. much of the dining area is on the pier. Food was decent, not outstanding. we got some non-seafood dishes for the kids. i was into impressed with the cashew chicken. the sauce was way too gooey. maybe best to stick with their seafood fare. Can’t beat the view, though. also price was reasonable. we all at plenty, drank just water and our bill for 8 was just over 2000฿ Very limited parking, but paid parking down the street at the pier for 50฿

Mango and Papaya Salad very good, Crabs too. Fish was overcooked and dry. Service ok, Location near the sea is nice.

It was just OK. I have had better seafood dishes at other restaurants. It is very popular though. The 2400+ reviews definitely drives tourists to go there. I tried the Fried Sea Bass, Tom Yum Gung, Vegetables, and Chicken with Cashew. Basic dishes. But nothing memorable.

The prices are a bit higher than those of other typical Thai restaurants. The food was decent, but nothing particularly special or memorable. While the dishes were well prepared and presented nicely, they lacked the distinct flavors or unique touches you might expect for the price. Overall, it was an okay experience, but there are more affordable places with better taste in the area.

Good for family, This restaurant have many seat can affordable for large groups. Price is good , can order cooked level for roasted clam. Stir fried crab and Crabdon are awesome.

Had high expectations of this restaurant due to the great reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Ordered many different seafood dishes. The quality of the ingredients were not high, the cooking was so so. The steamed fish was quite large, but overloaded with sugar, instead of sweet and sour, the meat was tough. The various seafood didn't taste good, some were not cleaned well, some were overcooked. The location and views were good. My favorite was the coconut drink🥺
