Chalet RoyAlp Hôtel & Spa

Unfortunately, our stay at Chalet RoyAlp was far below expectations and absolutely not worth the price. We booked one of the hotel apartments and it was extremely dirty upon arrival. We found black hairs in almost all the closets from previous guests, and the drawers were visibly dirty. Even after requesting cleaning, it was done very poorly. The bed sheets and towels still did not look clean, even after we specifically asked for them to be changed. If you are a germophobe, I strongly do not recommend this place. The service was very weak overall. You have to ask for everything — even still water is not provided unless requested. There is no proper late-night room service. What made this worse is that the room had a late dinner service brochure, but when we called to order, we were told it was outdated and incorrect. They said the only options available were pasta with red sauce and a cheese board. We reluctantly agreed, and the food arrived cold, with cold bread, cold cheese, and a sweet, unpleasant-tasting pasta. Completely unacceptable and far from anything resembling a luxury hotel. Management appeared careless and unorganized, and communication was a constant issue. The staff’s English is very limited, which led to repeated misunderstandings and having to explain ourselves multiple times. The hotel itself is very small, with little to do besides skiing in the same limited area and walking around a tiny village. The people working at the hotel were not welcoming, and the service felt cold and inefficient. The worst part was the chalet we stayed in — despite being one of the “best” options, it was uncomfortable and poorly equipped. There is no minibar, the coffee is bad, and there are no coffee flavors or syrups for those who care. Even the sugar sachets looked random, as if they were collected from different restaurants and thrown together. Overall, this was a bad experience that we will never repeat. This is not a luxurious destination at all — very average at best and barely qualifies as a proper hotel. I do not recommend this hotel or this village.

Our stay was truly excellent. The suite was big, with a separate bedroom, a walk-in dressing area, and a large bathroom, plus a balcony overlooking the Alps. The food was a highlight: we ate at Bear’s Bar and also did the igloo fondue dinner—absolutely worth it. The spa was exactly what we needed to unwind after skiing. And the location couldn’t be better, with the slopes right nearby. Highly recommended—we’d happily return.

I have spent a very charming weekend at this property. The suites we occupied had magnificent mountain view’s. The service of the staff was excellent. I particularly commend Mohammed and his team for their warm and impeccable service for transport and ski hire. They were brilliant. Adaptable, helpful and greatly contributed to the smooth success of our holiday

The hotel is great and so is the location but some of the spa workers are genuinely stupid. On my first day, I was told that under 16-year-olds are allowed until 7 pm in the swimming pool. On my second day, one of the spa staff came up to me whilst I was in the pool asked my age said I was 15, and then said that because of my age, I’m allowed till 9 pm, on my third day before I even enter the spa of woman told me that I’m only allowed until 6 o’clock (It was 5:57 pm) Despite the fact I am 15. So either the two previous women were lying to me Oh the worker on the third day was lying to me. Either way, I think this is highly unreasonable and should be solved.

The hotel has everything, kids room, spa, gym, games room, bar, restaurants. The staff are extremely professional and efficient and kind. The rooms are very large, with good quality fittings, and luxurious bathroom. The terrace areas are large and welcoming, with spectacular views. The hotel is perfect in summer or winter and highly recommend. I also used the conferencing rooms which were also excellent.

Super comfortable hotel in an amazing location, with a splendid spa and a truly fantastic pool! We spent three nights here and would happily return. The surroundings are incredibly peaceful—just birds chirping and, occasionally, thunder rolling over the mountains providing a dramatic backdrop. The views from the balcony are stunning. The food was excellent (we arrived just before the main season, so we’re looking forward to trying their other restaurants next time). The service is top-notch, and the mountain train stops just a one-minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are excellent—designed in a classic Swiss chalet style, yet modern and highly functional. They feel neither cramped nor empty—everything works perfectly. Kudos to the entire team. We’ll be happy to come back!

Hello. I m Pedro. From Spain. I was visiting the hotel and spa last week. My experience there was vey nice. I arrived at noon time, just to have a cool drink at the bar. I enjoyed a lot with a músician that was playing acordeón and guitar. I specially listened carefully one cover of Libertango ( A. piazzolla) very good fearured and performed for this lovely girl. I meet also the barwoman, called Helen, to thanx my time in her bar. The place is awesome, the views from the Terrasse are are increíbles and the scent inside the building was so nice. I'd like to go more there. Villars área is a fantastic place to visit in the summer.

We had an amazing winter stay at Chalet RoyAlp with our kids! The hotel is cozy yet luxurious, with breathtaking mountain views. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect family holiday.||The kids loved the sledges provided by the hotel, which made for great fun in the snow! The indoor pool and play area kept them entertained. We all enjoyed the delicious food at both restaurants, live music at the bar and private cinema. The location is ideal, with easy access to ski slopes and winter activities. The hotel is dog-friendly. ||Can highly recommend.
