Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel

I was worried the hotel would feel dated and corporate based on many of the photos I had seen but was very pleasantly surprised. We stayed on the newly renovated 31st floor. This hotel is easily the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. Incredible service, rooms are extremely accommodating and comfortable, and have everything you could ever need (my only wish was for better toilet paper, haha). Beds are extremely comfortable, I fell asleep immediately every night. We didn’t want to leave.

Location, location, location. Within a 5 minute walk connected via bridge to Shibuya station, its probably the best located hotel in Tokyo. The room was also quite nice, we had a bathroom with a view and could see Tokyo tower at a distance. Bathroom was spacious and felt contemporary. Amenities were not as great, but not the most important aspect for us honestly. The "premium lounge" was a very sad empty room, and breakfast at said lounge was pretty weak as well. Just some packaged goods and an omelet station. The restaurant breakfast was a bit better, but still lacking in comparison to other Tokyo offerings. The Japanese breakfast was a lot better than the other offerings, but again, could use an overall upgrade in quality.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, this hotel offered an incredible level of service. The reception team were exceptionally polite and professional, quickly handling queries when required.||Our room was the ideal size, and offered a beautiful view of Mount Fuji. It also included everything we needed for our stay - from bath salts, hair tongs and toothbrushes to pyjamas, room freshener, and tea/coffee facilities. ||The location is absolutely ideal, and includes a number of restaurants, high quality patisserie, and an on-site combini which stocks snacks, meals and toiletries. ||Additionally, lots of small touches (such as an origami crane and homemade sweets waiting for us in our room) made all the difference. We can’t wait to visit again. ||Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Stayed here for 1 night in the executive corner king room and it was amazing. Well worth the money spent, especially having access to the executive floor with unlimited drink and buffet food. The views from our room were amazing, especially having the view from our bathroom also! The staff here couldn’t do enough for you, they were so attentive and really nice to speak to. If you stay here, you should go to the cigar&rock bar accessible via the hotel, I can’t remember what floor - but such a cozy and intimate vibe.

The Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel ROCKS! What an amazing experience. Prior to our arrival, Tomohiro Makino had arranged for us transport to and from the Haneda airport. Yoshinori Senno was very helpful. We were treated with white gloves during our stay. Tomara Kobayashi was in constant contact with us prior to, during and after our stay. Thank you ALL for your special attention to detail! I can’t say enough about the amenities! Situated close to the Shibuya Crossing, we had the room with a view! I have to mention the bountiful buffet breakfast to die for…that was a view in itself! The Sky Bar was beautiful...WORLD CLASS! The hotel is so gorgeous and even has amenities for weddings and corporate events. It has an amazing spa and gym, to boot! Will definitely be back the next time we visit Tokyo! Thanks to EVERYONE for the Royal Treatment!!!

Excellent hotel, great location, great facilities. We stayed on the executive levels and had access to the lounge and other facilities. Everything was really top notch, room was large and spacious. Phenomenal views. Great service by staff. The building itself is very large and has everything you need, even a 7-11. Everything else is otherwise a short walk away! Could not fault.

Lots of handy amenities in the bathroom. |We had a superior king on the 27th floor and the view was amazing. |The duvet and pillows are feather which I am allergic too. We had non-feather pillows available in the room, but they didn’t have a non feather duvet so instead arranged for a blanket to be given to us. It would have been better if they had a duvet option as in less expensive hotels this is an available option. |Very well located for the train station and the centre of Shibuya. |A 7 eleven store is below the hotel and another across the road. |The breakfast is lovely and you can have eggs, waffles and fruit juice made to order. Plenty of western and Japanese options. |It’s quiet and serene. Of the 3 hotels we stayed in during our time in Japan, this was our favourite.

The room was amazing! The front desk service was great. The views are breathtaking. I especially liked dining at the rooftop bar and the executive lounge. The only negative was the concierge service. The concierge was right there, but she did not help me. The assistant helped me instead. I told the assistant concierge that I wanted to visit the Imperial Palace and then take a train to another city. It would have been super helpful for the con. to let me know that the Imperial Palace only has two viewing times each day. I didn’t know this and missed the viewing by 10 minutes. The con. should know the basics about the main attractions in Tokyo. I am disappointed, but in this service only.

Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel exceeded all of our expectations. Upon arrival we were relieved of our luggage by the nicest gentleman. We were checked in quickly and off to our room in no time. Every member of the staff had a greeting with a smile for us...every single time we passed them. Our room was great and the bed was super comfy! The fridge was fully stocked with complimentary beverages...alcoholic and non. The hotel was wonderful, but the staff truly make it amazing. We appreciated their kindness and hospitality. I loved the "taxi line" they have inside the lobby. There was never a line, but they ask you where you're going, hail a cab for you, and convey that to the driver. Easy peasy. You know what else is easy peasy? Having your luggage shipped to other hotels. Since we were visiting different areas in Japan, I did a little research and found out they (hotels) have a service where you give them your luggage by 4pm and it will be at your next stop waiting for you. It worked out great because we were in 3 different cities without having to lug our huge pieces of luggage on the trains. We will definitely give this hotel two thumbs WAY up!

Wow everything about this hotel is five stars. From the service to the room to the location we absolutely loved it. Located a 10 minute walk from Shibuya station this is right outside of the craziness and is a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We got a king room with executive lounge access and it was well worth the price. The service was incredible and food was delicious. If we ever make it back to Tokyo this will be our stay!

What a hotel. It's nice and modern and is located in in the heart of Shibuya so that means you're close to everything. They have a ton of restaurants as well. The mini bar even has 12 year Yamazaki! You can't beat that. The shower is nice as is the staff. It's one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in Japan. They have a pool, but haven't been there yet. Overall, if you're in Tokyo and want a piece of luxury, then this is a nice spot for just that.

Fantastic hotel. Had a great stay here on our honeymoon. We stayed on the 24th floor and the views were still breathtaking of Tokyo and Tokyo tower. Comprehensive immunities in the room with large bathtubs to relax in, very comfortable beds and a desk if you are on a work trip, and daily water. The hotel has a theater, dining in the lobby, a 7/11 on the exterior and a few other restaurants inside. It's centrally located and about a 5-10min walk to Shibuya station, so great location to get where you need to go through the city and tall enough to find at a distance. The staff were wonderful, helpful and many of them spoke English which is nice. We ordered a cab on our departure and it was there within 2 minutes. No problems whatsoever and 5/5 would recommend to a friend.

Long overdue review. We spent 4 nights here in April 2023 and could not have been more pleased with the rooms, service or location. The corner king was well worth a few more yen and our teens were fine in a 2Q room down the hall. As others have noted the location is super convenient for tourists as there are literally hundreds of restaurants within walking distance plus subway, trains etc. also the airport limo bus was super fast and drops you right in front of hotel. Only downside is that there was often a line for three expensive casual lobby restaurant. But plenty of options in shibuya mall including Starbucks. For the price and luxury this place can't be beat and highly recommend.

Beautiful 5 star hotel in shibuya. Didn't see a lot of kids or young people here. Most of the people were older so if you are looking for a quiet hotel, this is def the place. Pros: Lots of restaurants in the hotel. Convenience store open 24 hours with lots of selection. There is a hair salon, a spa, tons of places to check out. Big rooms. I had booked a superior twin room and it was a great size (for a Japanese hotel!) for 2 adults. I believe it was about 400 square feet. Hotel gym! Not open 24 hours but pretty good machines and and very clean. Towels and water for your use as well. The subway station is very close by and you can walk to lots of places around the shibuya area. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Check out is at 12 pm which is pretty late for a hotel! Tons of bathroom amenities. The most i have ever seen in a hotel room! Cons: The hotel is in a pretty hilly area of shibuya. I'm glad i didn't have my mom on this trip because she would've had a hard time getting around with all the uphill walking. That is actually the only con i can think of for this beautiful place. Shibuya area is a pretty busy and bustling area so i prob wouldn't stay in this area again but if i did, i would def check this place out again!

As a first time visitor to Tokyo, the Cerulean Tower was such a fabulous place to stay. The hotel is massive and for an American like me who speaks limited Japanese, it was so helpful to have a staff that I could easily communicate with. Service from the moment I pulled up to the moment I checked out was perfection. The team here is attentive, courteous and takes pride in their service. I booked a Corner King with a City View and upon walking into my room felt like I was having a Pretty Woman (the movie) moment! The room was spacious, with large windows in the main bedroom/living room area as well as the tub. There was a massive vanity as well as a shower and bidet, as well as on on-demand massage button on the phone. There were also two, plush robes as well and cotton pajamas in the drawer (which I discovered when I called to request a massage and was asked to put on my pajamas!) I ordered room service once and the tray and presentation was lovely. I also had a terrible headache after my long flight and assumed that it would go away after I drank some water, but it did not and I started to feel like I had a fever in the middle of the night. So I called the front desk and they were able to bring me some medicine (that I signed off on) in the middle of the night. So clutch! The hotel was walking distance to so much, so location wise it was beyond convenient including the train station. Additionally, if I ever needed a cab they'd quickly summon one. Every bit of service displayed hospitality and attention to detail and made my stay so seamless, providing me with both comfort and security while being far from home. It was the perfect place to stay for my very first time in Tokyo!

The Cerulean Tower Tokyū Hotel easily ranks in my book as one of the most modern, world-class hotels I've ever stayed. I'd even go so far as to say Top 3. The service, amenities, and atmosphere are a perfect storm of ... well ... perfection. The only issue I have is the location: smack-dab right next to Shibuya Station and the massive construction work going on between there and this hotel. It's definitely overwhelming. Other than that, this hotel has every base covered. It is world-class in every respect, with every amenity easily at the ready, and a 7-Eleven convenience store on the 2nd floor to boot! Will definitely consider this place in the future.

Very Friendly staff. English speaking and hotel Is located 2 minutes from the Shibuya Station in the heart of Shibuya. You can walk to all the shopping centers here and 15 min to Harajuku OR take the subway and it's the next exit. So many places to eat here. Great place to shop and eat. There are some "upscale" restaurants in the hotel that require a dress code but we didnt even bother because the food around here is just great! Money exchange machine in Lobby. Atm in the 7 eleven downstairs. Rooms are clean and service is great when turning down the rooms. Everything provided for last minute travelers. Definitely recommend for tourists checking out Shibuya or Harajuku.

This hotel was beautiful. The bell services helped us get our luggage that was forwarded to Osaka in less than 24 hours. The room was very clean and the products in the bathroom were very nice. We had a great view of the city. The scramble is in walking distance.

Best hotel in Tokyo! We had a view of mt Fiji and the whole city. The room was spacious compared to the other hotels. They were very accommodating and treated us like royalty. From the moment we walked to till we left, they greeted us each and every single time. The place is huge and full of bars and restaurants. Lots of business people coming and going and the real rich of Japan stayed here. There was always a personal driver waiting for us and a guide to take us where we wanted to go. I really enjoyed my stay here. Best international hotel experience.

Would give this a 4 star rating, but thought the price was pretty hefty for the room. Rooms were well appointed, beds comfortable - but not what I would consider a big room. Bathroom was nice with shower & tub in same area which was roomy. Also nice bathroom amenities (lotions, bath salts, etc.). Location was good - maybe a 5-6 minute walk to Shibuya train station and some large shopping centers. Breakfast was only okay. You have a choice of eating Japanese or not. The Japanese menu is extremely limited, but the choices for the other breakfast was only okay. You ordered your style of eggs (fried, scrambled, etc.) and your drink orders were custom as well (lattes, iced, au lair, etc.). They did do fresh OJ, but fruit choices, pastry choices, sides like potatoes, veggies, etc. were very limited compared to other hotels we stayed. They did custom slice ham, but since it was a pretty large ham, you could tell that it took them several days to use it all, so was a bit dry. I would likely try to find somewhere else to stay if I ever stayed in Shibuya again.

Hotel is beautiful and very well kept. The rooms are very comfortable and the executive lounge on the 35th floor is a nice perk. My only complaint is the food at the restaurant on the lobby floor is extremely disappointing for both breakfast and dinner. Kind of what one would imagine eating at a convalescent home. The other food options in Tokyo are amazing, save yourself and eat elsewhere.

Pre-COVID review: I got a great deal on this hotel after booking my flight on Expedia. It definitely felt more American than Japanese with everything being oversized and spacious. The staff were friendly and pleasant. A number of them spoke English and were helpful with explaining things and directing us throughout our stay. Located a short distance from the train and surrounding attractions. The room was beautiful, large, and luxurious with a fantastic view of Tokyo. I plan to stay here again on my next travel to the area.

Great location only minutes away from shibuya station. They have a huge lobby and the rooms were (American sized) bigger than average for the area with view of the city. It was well furnished with a full sized bath. The only problem was they had a broken thermostats, so it was stuffy and hot all week. The breakfast buffet was simple, clean, and elegant. I'd highly recommend the fruits and juices! Note: the second floor has access to the overpass or you will have to walk 3-4 blocks to cross the street.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet area but within walking distance from always busy Shibuya and famous Shibuya crossing. Decent gym and spa with Sheseido products. Restaurants and lounge area is all you need but I preferred to go out and eat so I only had early buffet breakfast here and it was great. We got upgraded for premium room, the view from the room was just amazing! They give you new towels, robe, slippers every day including Wall Street Journal! Only downside (and its everywhere like this in Japan) is that almost all signs are written in Japanese. But staff was extremely nice and very helpful with everything. I would definitely come back here.

This hotel is conveniently located near the Shibuya train station (make sure to stop and see the Hachiko statue when you get off the train). It's a huge hotel, but doesn't lack in service. Great staff who are all very welcoming. There are tons of restaurants and places to grab food and drinks inside the hotel, including the restaurant on the top floor with amazing views of the city. The room itself is pretty large and very western. There is a large bed and TV and window with amazing views. Standard bathroom with bath/shower combo and bidet. They provide you with a newspaper each morning (English papers if you are English-speaking). There is also a convenience store located on the 2nd floor with an ATM, which is very convenient. There is also an airport limousine stop at the hotel, which is also very convenient. It's roughly 3,000 yen and is totally worth it. You can check your bags in with the concierge and they will make sure to get your bags on the shuttle. Purchase your tickets before in the lobby. Overall, the convenience of the hotel alone is worth it. Couple that with the amazing service and it really is a great place to stay. I'd definitely stay here again.

Without any doubt this is the nicest hotel that I've ever seen in Tokyo. My husband and I stayed on an Executive level floor which gave us access to an incredibly nice lounge with snacks, free drinks, and executive assistants that went above and beyond their jobs to help us during our stay. One of them even helped me buy Fuji-Q Highland fast-passes with her Japanese credit card when my Chase card wouldn't pass address validation! Truly next level service. Our room was beautiful, clean, and full of nice touches like automated curtains and available soft-lighting. The washlet was a newer model and really spoiled us for the rest of the trip. Both the American and Japanese style breakfasts were top-tier food and you can really tell that they take pride in the product they're putting out. We didn't get a chance to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant as it was closed for a rebuild but I'm sure it's great as well given our experience at the rest of the property. 10/10... would definitely stay here again in the future.

Very nice hotel that's about a 5 minute walk to the Shibuya station and the heart of the Shibuya shopping district. We upgraded to an executive level room on the 33rd floor which offered great views of the city and Mt. Fuji. The benefits of staying on an executive floor are free breakfast buffet, tea time and cocktail hour and half price on use of the gym. Yes, even hotel guests need to pay to use the gym and it's quite pricey, about $20/day (so $10 if you're staying on an executive floor). The breakfast is small, but quite nice with a selection of salad, eggs, meat and pastries. I also went to the cocktail hour where there are an assortment of little snacks, coffee and drinks (both alcoholic and non). The room was on the small side, but roomy enough and of course the bathrooms were equipped with "washlets" with bidets and seat warmers (does anyone else find warm toilet seats kind of creepy??) As can be expected, service was excellent. Both check in and check out were fast. Our bags were quickly whisked away by the porters, who for some reason were tiny women, which made me feel kind of guilty! One day it rained and we were able to borrow umbrellas as well. I also failed to make reservations for a wifi rental and discovered that almost all of the companies at the airport were sold out. However, we were able to rent one directly from the hotel for about $12/day which was really convenient. Other things I liked about the hotel include the great, free wifi, complimentary water bottles every day, fast elevators, and a 7-11 "conbini" located right outside! If you're in town to visit Tokyo, I would say to give Cerulean Tower Tokyu a try. The hotel is a stop for the airport limousine bus, so you can get picked up and dropped off very easily. Shibuya is a vibrant neighborhood and you can get pretty much anywhere from the station!

This is a high-end, western-style hotel that is conveniently positioned near the Shibuya Station. And at the heart of Tokyo's insanely busy business district. The service was impeccable, although I must say that the furniture in our room was a bit old and scratched...should have been replaced. Also, the carpet near the elevator was a bit smudged. However, the king-sized bed was very comfy and we had a great view of the city. Amenities were good, too--don't panic If you forgot your toothbrush. Loved the bidet---that alone was worth the $260 a night. My ass was warmed and gently cared for with each visit to the Throne. It was better than visiting some of the temples. If you get the munchies or a thirst for some beer, save yourself the cost of raiding the mini-bar and make a 5 minute trip to the 7-11 that is attached to the hotel. The Kiran is 1/3 the price that the hotel charges you. I would recommend this place.

Ah-may-zing! Double Queen room and King Room There's not much difference between the double room and the king room other than the fact that the king sized room had the beds pushed together so I could roll over at least five times without falling off. But as soon as you walk in, it's like "wow!" Beds are mild softness, but the pillows were mildly weird for me; it still was a nice sleeping experience. Bathrooms? HUUGE! I really like how they have the bathtub and the shower sectioned off in its own area, and I thought the drain design was brilliant as the floor is actually sloped such that it slips into a sloped ramp/crevice that slips right next to the bathtub. ...I want that for my own house. Location wise it's about a 5 minute walk from the Shibuya south exit. Cross the intersection of bridges and walk past the station exit and you're right where the Hachiko / Shibuya crossing is.

Cerulean Tower was the highlight of our trip to Japan. We were given the recommendation from a friend, and we knew that the hotel (more or less) catered to Americans/foreigners. The Limousine Bus from Haneda Airport goes directly here, which is extraordinarily convenient. Even better, you can book an Airport Limousine Bus ticket from the front desk here, and they can charge it to your room bill. Maybe it's just Japan, but every staff member we encountered seemed happy to help us and happy to go the extra mile. The room was big and luxurious. Housekeeping was consistent. I love the robes and slippers and the giant tub and of course...that Japanese toilet. It also helped that they put us on the 33rd floor, great view of Tokyo! Also, on one of our last days we were in the mood for an American breakfast and we went to the lobby restaurant. The food was excellent and we weren't even expecting that! Bravo Cerulean Tower!

Greatest views. Service and entertainment on the roof bar is amazing. And who doesn't love great Japanese scotch?

Very nice hotel in one of the most interesting Tokyo neighborhoods, conveniently located near Shibuya station. Our room, albeit not huge, had a fantastic view of the Tokyo skyline, with Mount Fuji in the background. Hard to beat, really. The overall feel of the room was modern and cozy. The bathroom was enormous: a large bathtub (with the shower area on the side, all marble) with a glass door, lots of space by the sink, and the toilet hidden from view. I loved the convenience: Shibuya has lots to offer in terms of food options, nightlife, and shopping. Including the Shibuya crossing, which is considered the world's busiest pedestrian intersection; if you think the streets of NY are busy, check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJcUDXUq4JI A couple of minuses: - Surprisingly about half of the hotel employees at the front desk don't speak English. - No flexibility about late checkout: 30% if you want to checkout by 3pm, 60% by 6pm.

After two stays at the Cerulean Tower, I'm a fan. This is a well run hotel in a prime and convenient location in Tokyo. What it lacks in boutiquey-ness and style it makes up for many times over in wifi that works and staff that are unfailingly polite and willing to help with everything from sending a birthday to card to Australia to writing an address down in Japanese for a taxi driver. On my most recent stay I was able to get one of the 'Tower's Rooms' (located on floors 33-34) for a decent price (for Tokyo, that's ~$300/night) and took advantage of the complimentary breakfast each morning at the Executive Salon. If you're planning to go nuts gorging on takoyaki, tempura and tonkatsu you might appreciate that the breakfast buffet in the Executive Salon includes two types of salad, fresh fruit and steamed vegetables (my strategy was to load up on plants here every day at 07:00, not knowing what excesses the day might bring). The airport limousine bus picks up and drops off at the hotel which is quite convenient. My ride to Narita on a Sunday took just an hour (even faster than Narita Express) and I didn't have to navigate Shibuya station. I think the airport limousine bus option to the Cerulean Tower is a particularly good idea if you are a first time visitor to Tokyo. There's basically no way to get lost since the bus drops you off at the front door of the hotel. Shibuya is a vibrant area with excellent shopping, restaurants, people watching. You can get anywhere in Tokyo easily from here and if you want to stay solely on foot that's easy too. The Cerulean Tower was the first hotel I stayed in on my first visit to Tokyo. Numerous visits later I've returned to it and I think I'll probably stay here again on future trips (assuming I can snag a reasonable rate). NOTES - Booking direct through the hotel's website is not easy if you don't speak Japanese, I use Hotels.com instead - Make sure to get a non-smoking room (that's not a given in Japan) - Be advised gym access is not free and you will be charged a per visit fee to use it

Nice hotel in Shibuya. Close to the station IF you get out on the right exit. Pro-tip if you have an iPhone Apple Maps gives you the best walking directions from station to hotel...Google maps actually made me walk 3x the distance. For a fancy hotel, the concierge is kinda hard to use (i think its a function language). Aside from that, great views, nice services, and a 40th floor bar that allows for smoking (ick) and makes you pay about 500 yen per person cover (despite being a guest in the hotel on the club floors...bar was totally empty...so why a cover? who knows).

Upon arrival received an upgrade, not sure if they knew that my plane had a 5-hour delay or they just felt bad that I arrived at 2am. Regardless, woohoo! Lovely lounge at entry level, great upper floor bar as well. Service is fast and efficient. Both check-in and concierge available. Bedding is great. Clean and on the higher-end side. Centrally located. Only downside, you have to pay roughly $20/day to use the gym unless you go between 6am - 7am :(

I have had the pleasure to stay at this hotel for the last week, and I have nothing bad to say. Service is amazing. The executive lounge is an amazing feature for anyway staying in a suite.

Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel is walking distance from my house, and it's one of the major stops for the Limousine Bus that runs from Shibuya to the Narita and Haneda airports. No more squeezing onto packed trains, no more worrying about if I can get a seat or if I'll have to stand all the way to the airport, no more lugging heavy suitcases up the stairs while switching trains. I've never had to worry about the Limousine Bus being full. Just buy a ticket, hop on, whip out the neck pillow and sleep mask, take a nice nap, and wake up at the airport. Last time, I forgot my neck pillow on the bus and the bus driver ran after me down the road with it. Arigatou! If you're visiting Japan and staying in Shibuya at Cerulean Tower or somewhere nearby, you can even book a round-trip ticket for a discounted price. It's cheaper than the Narita Express and, IMO, much more convenient. Highly recommended!

Awesome hotel with super attentive staff and immaculately clean facilities. Sky bar is really nice and the location is ideal since its a block away from shibuya station. Rooms are huge and the bathrooms are larger than most bathrooms are larger than most us bathrooms lol. As with any other high end hotel they have full service kobbybwith banking and concierge along with toiletries and essentials in your room complimentary. There's also a 711 inside on the second floor for all your hangover and quick meal needs. Can't imagine staying anywhere else since I've experienced cerulean.

3.5 stars rounded up. Breathtaking views and luxury accommodations at this centrally-located hotel across from Shibuya Station. The hotel staff is incredibly attentive and accommodating, but can seem robotic at times, probably because given the sheer size of the hotel, they need to run it like a well-oiled machine. Still, some human emotion would've been nice from the front desk staff. The rooms are on the larger side with walk-in closets, sitting area, and modern bathrooms. Other hotel amentities include wifi, room service, and a fitness center, indoor pool, and sauna (about $17 USD extra per day charge unless you've shelled out the big(ger) bucks for the rooms on the Cerulean floors). The fitness center only is free of charge if you arrive between 6 and 7 a.m. Note that there will be no complimentary bottled water or coffee in your room; both are extra. There are several great coffee spots in the area, but most do not open until later in the morning (11 a.m.). You can also buy bottled water for 1/4 of the price at vending machines across the street. But with standard room rates at around $300 USD, these are the little conveniences that I shouldn't have to figure out or overpay for, especially when adjusting to the time difference. Other than the superfluous add-ons, the Cerulean is a solid choice for the Shibuya area. However, given the plethora of other choices at more reasonable prices in this area, I don't think I'd stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in mid December 2017 and had an awesome experience from beginning to end. We flew into Haneda, jumped on a Limousine Bus and it dropped us right at the front door of the hotel. When we checked in, the friendly people at the front desk upgraded us to a deluxe corner room with executive lounge access without us even asking. We were thrilled with our spacious and immaculate room which offered stunning views of the city and Mount Fuji, even from the bathtub. Shibuya train station and shopping area is a pleasant 5-10 minute walk away. Breakfast buffet (included with our rate) was simply wonderful! Tons of great eateries (both casual and high end) right around and inside the hotel. I highly recommend enjoying a cocktail at the 40th floor bar, it's really a special experience. And having a 7-11 Store right inside the hotel was so fun and convenient. We loved this hotel and plan to come back again and again!

Coming back to this hotel in the evenings was one of the highlights of our time in Tokyo. From the moment you walk in the door to check in, the staff takes notice of you and is looking for ways to serve you. I was super impressed by our bellboy, who took the time to explain various features of our room to us, including the highlights of the view from our window. We loved the room (particularly the view and the bathroom), had a great experience with the concierge, and enjoyed the convenient location. Would stay here again.

Where to begin? Every part the the experience here was an absolute nightmare! - hotel is old and depressing - staff doesn't speak ANY english and can't communicate at all - restaurants are a joke. Bad food and slow service. - carpets in hallways and rooms are dirty and stained - guest rooms smell and are musty - it's 50 shades of beige! - the lobby lounge closes at 10pm, what??? - and sells only smirnoff and riesling wine - staff at exec club are rude and unhelpful - concierge is useless - beds are hard as board, pillows like lead and sheets of sandpaper - no coffee service in the room It is NOT a 5 star hotel by any definition of the term, maybe a 2.5 on a desperate day.

The hotel has a good location, it's clean and Room are spacious, the view is Amazing but... Everything has to be paid in addition. Wi-fi, one tea bag- 300 yens ! But We were mostly disapointed by the swimming pool ! If We wanted to go There We would have to pay 2000 yens/day/person. It's a shame for an hotel of this category and Regarding of the Room price. We spent 3 nights There (total of 800 euros) , We send an email the first day saying We were disapointed, furthermore it was our honey moon. We never received an answer...

Very happy with this hotel - Shibuya seems like it's not hurting for quality lodging options. Once again, I booked through Hotels.com for a very reasonable price. I notice one review complaining of some things costing extra - I did notice that the in-room coffee/tea was not free, but I didn't have to pay for wireless. The hotel itself is a bit of a walk from Shibuya station, and if you're pulling luggage, you get to have fun going up and down elevators for the elevated walkways, or waiting to cross streets...not all that fun in the rain, but that's hardly the hotel's fault. The hotel is, as I've mentioned, a good bit more opulent than the Tokyu Excel, with a gorgeous lobby and modern feeling rooms with very nice marble bathrooms and (for this American) great "Western" showers. The rooms have excellent views of the city, depending on which floor you're on, and I would even say it's worth paying a bit more for a high floor and a better view, because it's pretty spectacular. The hotel staff are exceptionally helpful, as I've found most to be in Japan. Maybe this is common, but they do sell (cash only) international postage, which is hugely convenient. One key benefit is that the hotel itself has private limousine bus transit to airports. It may be shared among a couple other Tokyu hotels in the area, but I think the Cerulean Tower might be the last stop before it heads to the airport non-stop. If you're not on an N'EX round trip ticket, this is a great, price competitive option to get to Narita that doesn't involve you hauling your luggage all the way to the station, although I would say that given traffic, you might end up spending more time on the bus than you would on the well scheduled train. In my case, I needed to go to Haneda, and for the ~$8, this was supremely convenient when compared with dragging luggage to the train station and then transferring trains to get to HND. Absolute no brainer. If I really question myself, I think I might stay here again if I was back in Shibuya, over the Tokyu Excel. There's something about this place that I really liked, even if it is a tad less convenient from the trains. I think just the style and modernity of the rooms wins out over the location.

Amazing hotel near Shibuya. The service is impeccable; staff go far out of their way to make guests comfortable. The room was well-lit, comfortable, and *silent*, which was amazing given the ambient noise level of the area. Their breakfast buffet, though expensive, is also delicious and includes a wide variety of items. My only complaint is that the pillows didn't provide enough support, and I did wake up with neck pain a couple of times as a result. Would stay again! (But might bring my own pillow next time)

We were really happy with Cerulean. Every hotel staff member was warm and friendly. It is the perfect location for anyone staying in Tokyo. You can walk to anywhere in Shibuya, or its steps away from public transportation- which is really important in Tokyo! Business-y during the week, but it didn't matter, as we were out all day exploring. We got a complimentary upgrade, so our room was huge with a fantastic view.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in November and words can not describe how amazing our stay was. We were on the 33rd floor in a corner suite, with views of the entire Tokyo skyline and Yoyogi Park out one window, and a view of Mt Fuji out the other. The room was so gorgeous we didn't want to leave. The giant bathtub also had a full view of the city. The staff were extremely attentive and made the stay all the better. The breakfast and cocktails in the executive lounge were also amazing. If you ever get a chance, you must stay here! Location is ideal as well. Right in the heart of Shibuya, but no noise whatsoever. Such a great stay. I'll remember it forever!

I had an amazing visit to Tokyo, but our impromptu trip to The Cerulean Tower's 40th floor bar was icing on the cake. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and didn't mind our casual touristy outfits, served us amazing wine and snacks, and even took some group photos of us near the windows to get great scenes of the skyline. My group didn't speak a lick of Japanese, but it wasn't a problem at all. Obviously the drinks and food are pricey, but for the views and impeccable service, it's totally worth the walk from central Shibuya and the price! Will definitely come again on my next trip and have already recommended friends to check it out. A gem in the heart of the city for sure!

Service was excellent and communication was very easy in English. Rooms (at least the two we stayed in) were large, clean, and comfortable. Location is pretty much unbeatable - just a few minutes' walk to Shibuya station and tons of food, drink, and shopping. The bar on the top floor has fantastic views of the city but (as expected) drinks are expensive and there is a cover charge (at least later in the evening). Only complaint was that internet was really, really slow. Was faster to just use our wireless data plan. Otherwise a 5 star experience.

Cerulean is a really solid hotel - it's obviously catered to foreigners, but sometimes it's nice to have that if you're staying for a while. It's not cheap, and the breakfast is going to be $30-$40USD no matter what as well. All in all, if you can get a deal it's a no brainer - great spot in Shibuya with tons to do and see, along with a train station just steps away.

Cerulean Tower Tokyu stands majestically on it's own in Shibuya and overlooks the capital. You can choose to eat from the 9 restaurants but if you only have time for one, maybe you can considering making it a romantic night at Coucagno, the French restaurant on the top floor which serves Provençal cuisine. After dinner you can head for their jazz bar to enjoy some live music. If you're a lover of Japanese dance, you can try to catch a show at their Noh theatre as well. Even if you don't stay will them you can utilize their airport limosine bus station and take take the bus to and from Narita station; the taxi stands are right next to the their bus stop.

This review has been a long time coming.. I LOVE this hotel. The top floors give you an insanely fantastic view of Tokyo. I loved watching the trains wind all through the city like massive mechanized snakes. The rooftop bar was relaxing and a good place to decompress after an exhausting day of running around Harajuku like a crazy person. Great room, great service. Lobby very good for people watching. Oh- and being caught up in the wave of humanity washing over Shibuya Crossing at peak times is an experience in itself. P.S. Godzilla says "Hi".

Centrally located right smack in the middle of everything in fabulous SHIBUYA, we have been staying here since the hotel first opened!!! Shibuya station is right outside a serial minute walk. We have probably stayed here five or six times in total and every time is a wonderful experience. From the airport limo bus pulling straight up to the hotel to wandering out in the wee hours of the night for food, this location cannot be beat! The view from the rooms go for miles! Rooms are designed with minimalism in mind but thoughtful things like plugs and bathroom amenities kits come in handy. We are usually in the king room and maybe once in a twin room. It's considered one of the more spacious rooms in town. Beds are super comfy. Showers are amazing with that amazing japanese water pressure. The staff here definitely go out of their way to help and accommodate your needs. Restaurant ressies were made and confirmed for me before arrival. What more can you ask for?!

A fabulous high-end hotel. Excellent helpful staff. In the Shibuya area of Tokyo. Walking distance to the Shibuya Subway and Rail Station. Lots of Restaurants in the general area. Nice rooms, large bathrooms. Only downsides are (1) some of the construction in the area right now (was not a problem for us, but some folks might not like it) and (2) cost of food - normal breakfast buffet for 2 approx. $75.00. Don't miss Shibuya crossing close by...upwards of 3,000 people crossing an intersection at one time! Concierge staff excellent and speak English beautifully. Recommend it!

Graat location. Great restaurants. Beds Japanese style mattresses a little stiff. Found it hard to sleep: but can't beat the price and location. Excellent for those traveling with kids.

A nice and clean hotel in walking distance to shibuya station. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious. The shower head is amazing with temperature control and high pressure. The multiple pressure option bidet a plus. The breakfast buffet is good although at $33, a little steep. My vegetarian diet limits the options in Tokyo so I cashed in on the buffet. The rate is reasonable - we paid $214 a night which was very fair for Tokyo. 4 stars.

who i want you to love - i was on tour in japan staying at the cerulean tower when i wrote this song. was in my hotel room and had just seen a doctor who came over. i thought i was dying. everything felt off - couldn't breathe, couldn't see straight ---felt like i was standing outside of my body. the doctor checked me out and then sat me down and said something i will never forget. he said "it takes decades for us to understand our own bodies". it meant so much to me. i was having a massive panic attack and sitting with this old man in my hotel room in japan was comforting. the idea that the way we are will make more and more sense as time goes on was something i could live with. the song is about letting go - turning your head to all of it in a way. he left and i started to write. fell asleep, woke up at 5am and kept writing. the song took a while form there but was absolutely born that night in japan.
