"Sample Glasgow's Football Fanaticism Glasgow is a city that lives and breathes football. The two biggest clubs -- Celtic and Rangers -- are by far and away Scotland's most supported footballing institutions and have dominated the country's domestic league for decades. Financial tribulations have seen Rangers fall from grace in recent years, but the club looks to be headed back to the top tier to resume its rivalry with Celtic. For a more sedate experience, catch a game involving Partick Thistle -- Glasgow's third biggest club -- who also play in Scotland's top league."

Tour lasts about an hour. Arrive a bit early to get your food and a drink before the tour. Tour guides are knowledgeable and friendly and the history of the place is very interesting. Got to see the board room which houses all the trophies including Lisbon Lions European cup win. Getting to see the dressing rooms and the pitch was a great experience.

It was my first time to see a live football game much less the 1st in Scottish Premiership team! It was a great stadium and walk up. Going through security it a different ball game and seemed way more organized then going to American Football game. Loved the look of the stadium and even though it was cold the fans kept things going to keep it warm. Loved hearing the banter between the teams even though at times I had a hard time understanding it all with the accents and had to get translation from my friends when something funny was said. Great game overall and plus they won! I was a bit confused as everyone seemed to clap when a score was missed but was cool when I understood fans where giving them kudos for the attempt, much different experience than when any of my teams at home neglect to score lol. Again a great stadium, team, and atmosphere! Hopefully I can come again.

Went for a meeting and honestly can say that every member of staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, from the lads assisting us with parking to the servers within the sports bar, all top notch. Inside was spotless and cozy. Fantastic stadium and all round facility.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of taking a guided tour of Celtic Park, and it was an experience that was absolutely brilliant. From the moment I stepped into the stadium, I was immersed in the rich history and passionate atmosphere that the club embodies. Our tour guide was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also possessed an infectious enthusiasm that made the tour even more enjoyable. They shared fascinating stories and insights into the club's triumphs, challenges, and legends, bringing the history to life. The tour itself was fantastic value for money, offering behind-the-scenes access to areas like the home dressing room, the players' tunnel, and the manager's dugout. It was truly awe-inspiring to stand in these iconic spaces and imagine the excitement and intensity of match days. If you're a football fan or simply interested in experiencing a piece of sporting history, I wholeheartedly recommend taking a tour of Celtic Park. It's a captivating journey through time that will leave you with lasting memories.

Took my son on a tour of the stadium as my whole family and in laws are massive Celtic fans. It was lovely. Very informative. The food let them down but the staff are lovely.

Took my cousin and his wife to the Celtic Park Tour. Loved it, very informative and got to see the trophy room, boardroom, home dressing room, the tunnel onto the pitch, dug outs and the directors seating area. Loads of amazing opportunities to see things that the ordinary fan doesn't get to see. Price was amazing too, you get to keep the visitor lanyard along with a previous match programme. Highly recommended for any Hoops fan 🍀🍀🍀

Unreal. Pies were great and fairly priced. They should sell alcohol in the stadium though. I wanted a pint. View was excellent

Yelp
Great tour by Phil. Lots of history and plenty of time to take photos. If you're a fan, then you'll love this tour.

Yelp
While in Glasgow for a conference I decided to tour the historical stadium. It's beautiful and grand. I didn't make reservations for the tour but since it was just me they were able to get me in. While waiting for the tour to start we were up on the lounge where I had a coffee and a gluten free brownie. The tour started on time and it was great. Our guide really knew the history and was a huge fan himself. It was so cool to hear about the history of the club and well as some of his stories that really added to the tour. Getting to sit where the players sit was pretty cool as well. We didn't get to see the home locker rooms since they were preparing them for the game but we did get to walk through the tunnel and see the away locker room. This was a very cool tour and they sound like a great club. They do a lot of charity and are feeding kids daily all over Africa. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you are a sports fan!

Yelp
Went to my first football match here and I was not disappointed. It was a whole different experience from ballpark back home in California but I loved it. The Celtic shop is pretty big and not over priced at all. The food within the park is not as great as the food vendors outside so grab some food before heading in. The park is clean and no matter where you sit, you will get a great view.

Yelp
My husband and I did the stadium tour and meal afterward today. It was absolutely wonderful. Our tour guide, David, has the best personality for this sort of thing and it was fun to see behind the scenes. My husband is in a wheelchair and the support staff was first-rate and very helpful to him, making sure he could get down to the tunnel with their help. I highly recommend this tour and want to thank everyone involved.

Yelp
Septic Park is a stadium that is literally infectious. Parkhead is known as "Paradise" and if you're a Celtic fan, it really is. It's a beautiful grand structure, and the second biggest club stadium in the UK after Old Trafford, just ahead of Arsenal. Although when West Ham move to the Olympic it may be bigger, not sure. It's the largest football stadium in Scotland. It's in a rough area of Glasgow so be careful. I had a gun pointed at me right around the side of this stadium. Okay, let's tell you more about this. First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I've been to Celtic Park more times than some hardcore fans that live in Glasgow itself. I'm a big supporter of the team, and have even seen them play at Anfield, and in Cleveland, USA against Boca Juniors. But nothing compares to Parkhead, packed to the rafters, singing "You'll Never Walk Alone", a song that they share with Liverpool. I was here to see a game as recently as 2014, and expect to be going again in 2016. Watching footy matches is as much of a hobby as food. However my most interesting experience was when a kid on a bike cycled up to me right next to the club shop, and pointed a gun right in my face. There are no legal guns in the UK (not even the police carry them), so this was unusual and shocking. He said "Celtic or Rangers." I said "Celtic." He said "lucky for you. Bang bang. You're dead." In the thickest Scottish accent ever. And then cycled away. Now why do they say Glasgow is a rough town? So when I was doing my first tour of Scotland in 2011, I also hit up every single stadium in the country. My obsession with footy (soccer to Americans) is the reason. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are based on first-hand personal experience, usually from multiple visits. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to most of them yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at many of them, which I will post later. Also, when back in Scotland I plan to take more pix, and add more stadia! So watch this space! *** return to regular review *** It was built in 1892. Scotland has played there 20 times. It's in the East End of Glasgow. It's shimmering green and absolutely stunning. It rocks when it's full of people like no other UK stadium, and it is gorgeous when empty. There is a cemetery here so Celtic fans can be buried in the stadium. I am not kidding. I am seriously not kidding. That's how rabid the fans are. They may go back to safe standing to increase the capacity, I hope they do. I hope everyone does. Concerts are held here too, including The Who (1976), Bryan Adams (1992), Prince (1992) and U2 (1993), and Wet Wet Wet (1997). I like kicking in the gutter and wishing I was lucky. Wishing I was lucky. Wishing I was lucky.
