"Island Dining North of Downtown I know that the photo looks desolate, but the joint had only just opened, and I was in a rush. You'll have to trust me when I tell you that this one of the most popular restaurants on the block, and a little slice of Filipino heaven. The menu features outstanding sharables—check out the crunchy pork sisig and the chicken salpicado—and a few excellent options I remember from The Philippines, like the bone marrow soup. Whack the bamboo when you're done, and you'll get seven years good luck. Maybe."

Decor of the restaurant did not disappoint. I recommend their weekday lunch combos if you are new to Filipino cuisine. You need to call a day in advance to reserve the Kamayan (for the nice large banana leaves display). Minimum for 2 persons and there is extra surcharge. The dishes that we ordered, leaned toward sour taste (including the Chicken Adobo). The chicken meat tasted overcooked to our palate. Overall, it was a new culinary experience for us.

For their Winterlicious menu, they provided minuscule portion sizes at a cost of $45 per person. The wait time for the food was over an hour, which seemed unreasonable given the lack of complexity in the cooking, garnishing, or presentation. It left me questioning why patrons weren't more vocal about the small servings and the sense of being ripped off. Additionally, I can indulge in endless servings of similar desserts at an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

Staff were very accommodating, friendly, and attentive. Kudos to Mila for making my coworkers, and I feel special. She went over and beyond to make sure everyone is satisfied. First time for most of my coworkers trying this Kamayan-Boodle fight, and they truly enjoyed it!

I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews for this place, although I understand experiences vary. For me personally this place is an 11/10. This is authentic, hearty, homey, Filipino food. Get the bangus, tapsilog, halo halo, and sinigang. You can judge a Filipino restaurant based on how good their silog and sinigangs are - and this place excels with flying colors. Remember to ask for vinegar and chopped chili haha. The live singing and music was a huge plus too!! Also the servers were so nice and warm. This is my new favorite Filipino restaurant in Toronto.

As soon as you walk into Casa Manila, the interior is decorated with the diversity of the Filipino cultural mosaic. Not just the chairs and tables, but the walls and decorations are all distinctly Filipino. If you're looking for very traditional Filipino cuisine, included to but not limited to Kamayan feasts (huge family style portions brought out on banana leaves) and Halo Halo which has to be my favorite desert of all time, they've got you covered. Their Halo Halo is in my humble opinion one of the main reasons to check this place out. There's a few different ways to make this, but Casa Manila's includes shaved ice with cream, fruit, agar, sweet beans, custard (leche flan which you can also order on its own), purple yam, ice cream and rice flakes!

The location is full of Filipino heritage and service was quick. Ordered the Bangsilog and is one of the best out of anywhere else i tried. Fish was not greasy and was meaty. Garlic rice was good and their suka hit the spot

One of the best Filipino restaurant in Toronto. Our favourite foods here are cheesy fries with crispy sisig and creamy bicol express with a touch of spice. Customer service are awesome. Atmosphere feels like Philippines with many Filipino decor. Must try bilo bilo after a whole meal, a yummy Filipino dessert! We will come again soon :)

This is definitely a MUST visit restaurant if you are looking for a great place to hangout or celebrate a special day. I was very impressed with the level of hospitality and food quality. I was celebrating my birthday and my family and I had a fantastic time and experience. We will definitely return to try other dishes.
