We stayed for two nights, from Friday to Sunday. We chose this hotel for its location and "reasonable" price compared to other options in Barcelona. However, be aware that a tourist tax is added upon arrival and is not included on the total price when you book.
The confirmation email stated that this tax was €4.67 per night per person, but we ended up paying €22 (€5.50 per night per person). They should update the price on the email.
Apart from that, the heating system did not work properly. We set it to 22°C, but we woke up several times during the night because the room was cold. On the last night, we even set it to 25°C to be sure it would be warm. It only worked for a few hours, and during the night, it became cold again, which made my partner sick. Additionally, it was quite noisy at night—you can easily hear doors and other rooms, making it even harder to sleep.
The rooms were clean, and shampoo, shower gel, and soap were provided. The shower drain was clogged (water wouldn’t drain), but the hotel promptly sent someone to fix the issue. I recommend this hotel mainly for its location, as it is close to everything and has easy access to public transport. However, if you're looking for quality accommodation, I would suggest looking elsewhere. It’s fine for a budget-friendly weekend stay.
One thing I found completely unacceptable was the excessive amount of personal information required during the online check-in. I don’t understand why they need to know the issue and expiration dates of my ID document. Providing the document number is normal, but the rest is unnecessary, just like asking for passengers' addresses. It makes sense for them to have the billing address at the time of payment, but not during check-in. Additionally, they asked for the credit card details to manually note down the card numbers, which I find highly concerning. These are private details that should not be shared in such an unsecured manner. I have no idea what they do with our data, and that lack of transparency is unsettling.
