Carissa's the Bakery - Sag Harbor

No wonder this place is pretty famous…esp being an Ina Garten fave! Place is gorgeous / feels like a cafe in Paris. Breads, pastries coffee and the service - all terrific! We had the apple turnover / croissant & chocolate croissant and lattes.

What a cute place. Very clean and the pistachio crossaint is a must try. Amazing !!!

Wowwww this place is great! Even though it was crowded and hectic, the staff were very attentive and personable. She helped me pick out some bakery items and checked me out quickly. I got 3 tarts for $25. Also got the cucumber gazpacho soup and sandwich. They were pretty good. I ate one of the tarts in the car and a lady outside gasps, points at it and says OH MY GODD THAT LOOKS SO GOOD I WANT IT Which i thought was really funny. Will definitely be coming back to check out your other dessert items! When i came, they only had almond croissant but i’m hoping next time they’ll have other croissant flavors

Modern location in Sag Harbor. Nice if you are ordering baked goods to go. Otherwise, you'd better head to their other location since seating is limited/not existing here.

Damn Carissa and her baked goods and sandwiches. They are as expensive as they are incredibly tasty and inventive. I think I have had everything they sell at least twice. Sometimes twenty times. Atmosphere isn't relevant as it is a take out bakery but do your tongue and stomach a favor and try the "anything at all as it's all great".

My first purchase at Carissa’s was four Madelines at $2.50 each. I should have noticed that the shape was off. They were over baked. and very dry . I am sure that most of their offerings are very good. I have heard great things about the breads. I may go back but will not for the Madelines..

The epi baguette and focaccia are phenomenal. This is by far the best carissa’s location ! Sleek, beautiful design and fabulous food.

The layout of the bakery is so clean and aesthetically pleasing. All of the to-go lunch options and bakery items are clearly displayed for you. The servers are quick and helpful and get you out of there in very little time. I had the pistachio croissant which was a little bit of a let down. Really beautiful looking but the pistachio flavor wasn't great and the chocolate inside of it was just a stick of unmelted chocolate that overpowered the whole thing. Same with the coffee - just mid. The ham sandwich however..... omg. It was SO GOOD. I will return for that ham sandwich. It was delicious and perfectly sized and just overall a 10/10.

The pistachio/chocolate filled croissant was HUGE and had lots of filling, it was delicious. The almond croissant was also HUGE and had plenty of delicious almond filling. The chocolate croissant was smaller and had a good amount of chocolate filling as well. The hibiscus iced tea was unsweetened and refreshing after yoga class. I would go back to try their lunch sandwiches and coffee drinks.

Yes, it's that good. Stop in, you won't be disappointed. Coffee and lattes are done with precision. Bakery items are out of this world. Interior is pristine, a modern classic.

Minimalist style shop, tasty sandwiches on chewy baguettes, very good coffee, you can't get a basic cookie here but you can get one with matcha. They do have bite sized brownies, madelines, and my fav croissant -with ham &Gruyère Well staffed - the long summer weekend line goes quickly.

I had a chocolate cookie there the other day...$4.00 are you kidding? OMG..was amazingly delicious..texture, flavors... I have not been able to stop thinking about it, (and I bake) so much so, that I'm kind of planning my life around them...movie in Sag Harbor..ck to confirm they're open that day and til what time..gotta take one with me. Surely we need something at Emporium ..ck to be sure Carissa is open first...guess I better ck if there are any cookies left to manage my expectations!

Beautiful bakery / location. It feels like you stepped into a magazine. This was my second time having Carissa's & my first time at this location. Got the honey oat loaf, salted sour rye, pistachio croissant, raisin snail and a couple more pastries. Good service and a nice woman helped me pick everything out -- she let me know the oat loaf is perfect for french toast!

Doesn't taste as good as it looks. The coffee is terrible and the croissants are dry. They have poor customer service which I wouldn't care about if the food was delightful, but they never answer their phone for questions or to even place orders. I was definitely underwhelmed and gave them multiple tries.

What a wonderful bakery. My friend highly recommend this place on our visit to the Hamptons so we visited one of our first mornings. The ambience here is very sleek and beautiful. The service is very friendly and the vegan dessert and drink I got were so unbelievably good. I'm glad that they have options to meet dietary restrictions and my friends and I all left very happy.

This great bakery to get your morning coffee or enjoy a little dessert for later. The store is clean and offer coffee but drinks and sandwiches as well. You can grab an awesome panni sandwich.

My dad said we should come here today cause he couldn't stop thinking about these croissants. I understood what the hype was all about after the first bite. When you walk in you notice a few things right off the bat. 1.) this place is very clean and the interior is very bright 2.) lots of bread to pick from 3.) it smells AMAZING Pretty crowded for a Sunday morning, but the line moved pretty fast. We ordered an assortment of baked food to try (see pictures) and coffees. They sell drip coffee so you're limited to one size, fyi (but the coffee is delicious). The total was around $35 which is reasonable price point. Now let me talk about the toasted pistachio croissant...the LAYERS on this thing was incredible. It was so flaky. First bite tasted like pastry heaven. I think there was a pistachio crème inside of it along side a chocolate one. I wish the pistachio crème was a little stronger cause the chocolate was definitely overpowering. Still it was absolutely delicious. I'm coming back for this bread. It was a solid 10/10 for me. Definitely stop by if you have the chance. The bread is freshly made and it's worth the trip.

After a morning at the dog park we hit Carissa's bright and early. I can't get enough of the smell here. Home made ice cream, their baked products of course, and other artisanal small business products available. EXCELLENT COFFEE and fantastic tea. We shared a raspberry/chocolate croissant filled with decadent but not overpowering fresh raspberry compote and dark chocolate filling. Magnificent. They only do their egg sandwiches on sourdough so we opted to continue our breakfast adventure elsewhere. Really wish they could've done an egg sandwich on their Parmesan bread though :o

Really good pastries. This was my third time having Carissa's. My first and second were at the East Hampton location. I had an amazing experience all times, and really enjoy the ambiance and interior design of the bakeries. This time I ended up getting a croissant, a pan au chocolat, a roast beef sandwich, and a probiotic drink. The goal came out to be around $45. This place isn't cheap, but it is worth it. I loved the flakiness of the croissant. It was the perfect flake to softness ratio, and the quality of the the chocolate in the pan au chocolat was also amazing. The roast beef sandwhich was pretty good as well. It was stuffed with arugula and mustard, both of which I'm not huge fans of, but it all came together. Overall, I make it a point to come to Carissa's everytime I come to the Hamptons because it's just so good!

Carissa's is my favorite treat in Sag Harbor! I always get the zucchini sandwich and had the pleasure of trying this pistachio chocolate croissant on my last visit. Absolutely beautiful store inside with friendly service. Restroom not technically available to customers and not really any seating except a bench to wait.

Step into HEAVEN!! This new bakery (2nd Location, 1st located in East Hampton) is absolutely pristine. The baked goods are simply works of art, and cooked perfectly. You won't be able to just take one bite, I certainly can't. They also have grab and go salads and sandwiches, soups, ice cream, a full coffee bar and so much more. The roast beef sandwich was so simple but unbelievably delicious. Also, the croissants are the best I've ever had in my life! The monkey bread (zap it in the microwave for 10 seconds, you're welcome) is such a treat. I also love their Golden Latte - made to order as are all of their beverages. I go as often as humanly possible to this new gem.

Looking for the best croissant on Long Island? Look no further. Unfortunately I don't have any photos to share. Minimal/beautiful interior, friendly staff. Must try: Pistachio Croissant (heavenly), Raisin Snail (flaky, light sweetness), Prosciutto/Gruyere Croissant (savory, very filling, perfectly paired with the grainy mustard). Also enjoyed a decaf latte with pistachio milk.

Love this bakery but do find them wildly inconsistent. Apple turnover's can be flaky and light and filled with apples or thin on apples and very doughy. Grilled cheese sandwiches have been carelessly "grilled" and more like - warmed. When Carissa's is good, it is great, when it is less good, it isn't awful, certainly, but not as good as it could/should be.

This place looked very clean and modern, almost like a little boutique instead of a bakery. The service was a bit slow as the man in front of me seemed to be waiting for a long time. I ordered the pistachio croissant, almond croissant, and raisin snail. The name of the pistachio croissant was misleading as this should be called a CHOCOLATE pistachio croissant. The pistachio cream filling was not too sweet but I definitely would have preferred just a plain pistachio croissant. The almond croissant had a good taste and the raisin snail met expectations. I wasn't blown away by the selections but it was very good to try while in Sag Harbor.

Excellent pain aux raisin and madeleines. Excited to go back and try more like bread and soups. Nice space.

The bakery items are not good and highly overpriced. Lunch items same. Terrible. New store nothing in it.

NEVER AGAIN. After taking a class with my 9 year old daughter, we were both extremely excited to sink our teeth into a yummy pastry from this sophisticated bakery. When entering, we were already confused by which door to go in, and I am a sign reader/rule follower. Also, I've been in the restaurant business practically my entire life. Once entering, we noticed an unorganized heard of people with no rhyme or reason as to where to order. That being said, it was up to the customers to decide who was next on line, and finally an opportunity arose. Lucky for us, the man next to us acknowledged we were next and alerted the clerk. This woman was probably the rudest woman I have ever encountered in this industry. She proceeded to ask if we looked at the menu and I replied, "we simply want to grab some pastries." Then, she asked the woman behind us (who just walked in) if she could take her beverage to the register, as if my daughter and I did not exist. My daughter, very uncomfortable with the situation, kept tapping my arm because she was disturbed and wanted to leave. I got her cue and obliged. We decided to abort and as we were walking out the horrid woman said, "excuse me, would you like to order?" I turned around and replied, "not here." I will add, she didn't ruin our day because we walked around the corner to Grindstone to be greeted with a warm hello and walked out with a boat load of delicious coffee, donuts and raspberry cookies to share with friends and family.
