"Situated on Northeast Portland’sAlbertaStreet, smack in the middle of the Alberta Arts District, Caravan is an unique alternative to the same old hotels or vacation rentals. The hotel is comprised of six tiny, individually styled houses for rent, from the cabin-like Skyline (made mostly from upcycled material) to the Amazing Mysterium (a vaguely steampunk affair modeled after a vardo gypsy wagon, with lovely additions such as stained-glass windows and lots of built-in shelving). In truePortlandstyle, the houses are clustered together in a “pod,” similar to how many of the city’s famous food carts are arranged. In lieu of a lobby, there’s a central outdoor common area with a fire pit (s’more-making is encouraged, and supplies are provided). Note that live bands perform for guests and a limited number of community members on Wednesday evenings during the summer months, and the whole area gets busy on the first Thursday of every month, when Alberta Street transforms into a pedestrian-only night market-cum-street party that lasts well into the evening."

Cozy, fun... but really loud. The place was very quaint and cute, but after the fun factor wears off, not sure it’s worth the price for more than one night. Positives: it’s a cool place to sleep for the night - a perfect place to explore the Alberta district from. The coffee was great, appliances worked, the shower pressure was good and water was nicely hot, the bed was comfortable and overall the place was in good shape. When I saw there was a box of ear plugs by the bed it made me wonder. The compound backs up to a very busy bar and unless it was Super Tuesday, I think this is the norm.

Great atmosphere in the caravan. Good location near a lot of activities. Just a 4 block walk to curious comedy club. Lovely owner. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the air conditioner was a little lack luster. We stayed during a heat wave 90-100 (not typical as far as I know), and escaping the heat was a priority for us. Otherwise, it was great. I'd stay again.

We had a great time staying here. We stayed in the Tiny Caboose. We slept 2 people up top in a queen bed, and then two kids each in their own bunk bed. The amenities in the caboose were nice. We used the hot plate and pan to make eggs in the morning and made coffee with the provided coffee and kettle. The outside area was very cute with free s’mores fixings and fire pit area.

We stayed at this place for 2 days and felt quite lucky to be there! As tiny house enthusiasts it gave us a chance to try out staying in one for the first time. The staff are super friendly, the neighborhood is vibrant and the houses are adorable and unique. They're decorated with a mix of local art and the hotel has a shared outdoor area with a place for grilling and making a fire. If you love tiny houses you'll enjoy your stay here!

This place is absolutely amazing. We stayed in the Pacifica for a night and it was so fun! You can have food catered to your house from the Radio Room, management supply white noise machines and ear plugs as the hotel is right off of Alberta, and the common space is stocked with fire pits, s'mores ingredients and has a beautiful ambience at night. We are already figuring out when to come back.

We booked the Caboose for the 1st night of our 25th Anniversary OR trip. Was a great experience. Cool neighbor for walking, food and drinks. Very friendly atmosphere and safe environment. Check-in concerned me at first but it was a breeze. Clean, well-appointed and fun. Couldn't have asked for more. Everyone was helpful here.... everyone. Loved this place.

While perhaps not for everyone, the tiny house we stayed in was perfect for a little getaway for my lady and I. We're used to sleeping in small spaces, and that's exactly what is is. Incredibly comfortable bed, hot showers, and all around cozy vibe. Plenty to do right there on Alberta Street and the owners were very nice, suggesting great places to eat and visit while we were in town. Would've loved to get a chance to hang with other guests around the fire, just didn't have enough time!

We were greeted when we arrived, and we were shown how everything works. We stayed in the wheelchair accessible tiny home and it worked out great. Great little place to stay in a great location in Portland. It was pretty noisy at night, but were warned before we booked. They do supply ear plugs and a white noise machine if needed.
