It’s nestled into a vacant space at the end of an alley, wedged between two buildings in Monastiraki. By day, antique dealers and actors chat over coffee and cigarettes in the secret courtyard. After dark, the cool kids of Athens congregate at absolutely all hours to drink and groove in a low-key, intimate atmosphere. Simple but funky decor, intentionally inexpensive drinks, neighborhood regulars, and great music by resident DJs that veers wildly from indie pop to disco beats are standard; the occasional exhibition or event spices things up. Very nice place and great atmosphere, but we had an issue with the pricing of cocktails. We paid 13€ for 2 'Cantina Social' cocktails at the beginning, later 18€, and at the end they charged us 20€. When I asked why, the answer was that 'it was a mistake before'. It would be great to keep the same prices throughout the night because this feels like a rip-off!

One of our favourite spots from our recent visit to Athens. The lady working there was lovely & she suggested my partner and I try her homemade ginger lemonade, which was just what we needed to relax while hiding from the sun - it was delicious too. We didn't make it in the evening, but would love to if we're back in Athens in the future :)

A fantastic hole-in-the-wall spot with a beautiful garden! Such a unique little spot, and a little difficult to find. The indoor bar area is small and cozy with standing room only, but the outdoor garden is quite large with plenty of tables and chairs.

One of the highlights of Cantina Social Bar is its lovely backyard area with tables, providing a refreshing place to chill and socialize. You can enjoy your drinks while bonding with friends or even meeting new and interesting people from different age groups. Furthermore, the bar stays open till late, making it an ideal spot for night owls seeking a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. Every time I visit Cantina Social Bar, I have a fantastic experience and thoroughly enjoy myself.:)

Classical music vibes for us :) Very nice artsy and authentic atmosphere. Many cats around and they seem to be well cared about. Seems like it has been run by great people. p.s. Prices are very fair.
