Get ready for this place to be renovated it will never be the same!!! :( I remember as a little girl going in there with mom and smelling all kinds of things and seeing and greeting all kinds of people and now that they're going to do this modern building they will probably put a Starbucks in there too😒😢 well prices are probably going to go up I like change but this should have just stayed just like it was mr. Canino has retired and his brother-in-law too, which I understand cuz of age...but I wish they never had sold the place!!

Great place to find fresh fruits and veggies at an affordable price. You can find fresh kale for as low as $0.86, they have a wide variety of apples from Fuji, Gala, Honey Crisp to Green apples. They are open from 7am to 7pm, 7 days out of the week and they take credit card (only inside of Caninos). Also, if you feel more adventurous you can take a walk to the back of the market where local farmers also have their individual tents, in there you can find all types of spices, exotic fruits, Mexican candies, pots, dry fruit and even taco trucks, the only down side is that they only take cash.

I really like this place. I am able to get a lot of great veggies here for great prices. If you are looking for a fancy farmers market with crafts, cold brew, gourmet snacks this is NOT the place. It is super crowded but will worth it. My tip is to go as far back as possible when buying your fruit and veggies because the vendors in the front I'm sure pay more for their spot and you pay more for your fruits, veggies and spices. For a visual think of a boarder town with people calling out to you what the deals are and they are very tightly packed side by side. It is outdoor so it will be HOT!

It's the next best thing to being in an actual mercado in Mexico. Great produce, artisan crafts, varied selection of Mexican candy and dried candied fruits, aguas frescas, spices; this place is an absolute gem.

parking can be tricky. ended up hitting a huge pot hole trying to park on side street since the lot was full. huge market with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and many other things. prices were more or less than you would find at any kroger. checking out was fast. if you pay by card there is a $5 minimum - i had to grab something really fast to meet the $5 - grabbed a tangelo i think and it was the best piece of fruit i’ve had in a long time. perfectly sweet and juicy.
