I can't understand the many bad reviews! We were there for 2 days and it was very good. Pasta vongole very good with twice as many mussels as elsewhere in the area, pizza excellent. House wine more than drinkable. The staff were also all very nice. Yes, there is only one toilet, but this is also the case in other places. We were definitely satisfied.

Surprised by the negative reviews, we had a great time here. It was a busy Sunday afternoon with the market running in the piazza and we were served promptly. The food was delicious - we ordered the pasta with clams and a pizza. Also shout out to the €8 carafes of wine. Highly recommend!

Dropped on this place while looking for somewhere to try a Florentine steak having not made a reservation for the evening. Situated in a vibrant square with outside seating, the host was kind and welcoming when explaining to us to how you go about ordering per 100 grams and to share. I normally like my steak medium to well (sorry!) so was a little apprehensive but they did a good job and we loved it having eaten far too much pasta and pizza on our trip to leave us much in need of something else. I later read of some not so positive reviews but we didn't find any problems at all. Very well priced compared to other restaurants serving Florentine steak as well. Ps - the tiramisu! 😍

Yummy cacio e Pepe. Friendly and attentive staff. Truffle ravioli was delicious. Salad is big and good

We ended up going twice because we felt so comfortable and were left wanting to try more of the menu. Lots of options at a food price and brilliant service from all the staff. Can recommend it and will probably end up there again when I'm in the area.

Good option for lunch and to sit in the square. Good food, yummy spritz.

We had a lovely lunch at Caffe Ricchi. It is worth walking to the other side of the Arno past the Pitti Palace where you can get away from the crowds and feel a part of a local neighborhood. With the Basilica di Santo Spirto (which includes a lost Crucifix of an early Michelangelo and a quiet oasis in the outside courtyard and garden) as a backdrop and a lively market in the square, you have a perfect backdrop to enjoy a pleasant meal. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. We had a full lunch because we were skipping dinner so that factored into the price. Two glasses of white wine, two starters, two pasta dishes, a very good Chianti Classico and a dessert was 70 euros. Would be easily twice that in any major American city. The tagliatelle al ragu Bolognese was excellent and only 8 euros for a very large serving. We noticed Italian families enjoying this dish, with one table uniformly ordering it. The Caprese was also very good, very fresh, and plentiful enough to share. The tiramisu was light, smooth, creamy and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. It was a very pleasant respite from the crowds and the mediocre food around many of the tourist sites. Thoroughly enjoyed hanging out there!

Restaurant must be under new management as I can’t believe any of the previous reviews! We ate Sep ‘22: all the tables were full, in a lovely area sat outside in the square with pretty fairy lights and gazebo above. Wait staff were so lovely, special shout out to Asia who served us. She allowed us to customise our order and change some ingredients (wanted to add different fish / add mussels), went to the chef to ask if this was ok and came back with a price too for the additions so you knew you weren’t going to get ripped off! Really lovely girl, insisted she took our picture for us too when she was holding lots of plates! Beef was cooked to perfection it was like butter, prawns and other fish again cooked to perfection. Really recommend this place, please don’t let previous reviews make you miss out!
