Propaganda Italian Cuisine

This place is a hidden gem. The food and staff here is amazing. The staff and owners are very friendly, they treated us so kindly we came back almost every day while we were in Rome. The food, gelato and desserts here are so tasty. If you are visiting the Colosseum you need to come here.

This place is just a few blocks from the Colosseo and it was virtually empty on a Sunday night. I don’t know why. The food was good. The service was excellent. I definitely recommend this place for a meal.

We happened upon this place for breakfast and were so impressed with the quality of the food and service we booked a dinner reservation. While the location near the Colosseum might give you pause since there are so many tourists, don’t hesitate to dine here. Outstanding cocktails, delicious first course, get the skipjack tartare and you’ll thank me. The mains were outstanding and beautifully prepared by the Italian chef! We had the squid and fish of the day (served with seasonally fresh chanterelles) paired with a delicious Chardonnay from Puglia - as recommended by our server. Clearly one of the top meals we have had in Rome. My faith has returned. Kudos to the team making Propaganda something truly special.

Amazing Experience at Propaganda! I had an incredible experience at Propaganda! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, the food is absolutely delicious, and the service is top-notch. A special shoutout to Luka, who is by far the best waiter I’ve ever had. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. His recommendations were spot on, and his positive energy added to the overall amazing vibe of the place. If you’re looking for a great restaurant with excellent food and outstanding service, Propaganda is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I think we found our lovely place for dinner or let's say, for having wonderful time in Rome ,very delicious pasta and spaghetti and lasagna, very delicious food and 🍷, but most of all, wonderful people, taking care of their clients, like they are part of the "family". You can feel the atmosphere of the Italian history and Coliseum is very close to the restaurant,but the place is quite and also romantic! Especially thanks for the owner and the lovely Ozin, every time we go back to Rome,we will come to you!

The food here is absolutely terrible — I strongly advise everyone to stay away. What they served and called “pizza” is beyond disappointing. If that’s considered pizza, then I must be a ballerina. I’ll attach a photo so you can judge for yourself. Rome has incredible food — just not here. An absolute disgrace to Rome, such an institution should not exist and deceive people.

Propaganda was an amazing restaurant to eat at in Rome. The food was delicious, clearly prepared with care and love. The beef was tender and beautifully cooked, and the stuffed squid was just as good, full of flavour and perfectly done. I could not resist the fruit and custard tartlets. The pastry was crisp and sweet, and the custard with the fruit on top was simply heavenly. You could really taste the attention of the pastry chef. The staff were kind and helpful. My Italian is quite good and I was happy to speak it, but they also spoke English, which made everything easy. They were warm and attentive without being intrusive. If I return to Rome, which I hope I do, I will definitely be coming back here.

Very delicious! We shared the Sampler Italiana and the Carbanara. Our waitress was fantastico, great conversations, and even suggested other restraunts to try when we get to Florence! If we make it back to Roma we will come here again! Grazie Millie!
