Sorry in advance, this is going to be a long comment because I feel like it really needs to be said. First, I'm a restaurant manager with 9 years of experience working in high volume restaurants, and I understand the ins and outs very well for operations. The Togo system for this zupas is seriously flawed and I'm sure it's losing quite a bit of money because of this. When you just put orders ready on a shelf that any person can come in and grab without interaction, people are going to come in and take food. That being said, I understand mistakes can happen, sometimes orders are taken without notice at my restaurant and it sucks so I am understanding of the situation happening and didn't get upset, but the system is a serious issue. Beyond that, after somebody took my online order, I wasn't approached by anyone, and was waiting for 15 minutes thinking my order was being prepared when there was clearly plenty of staff on line just chatting (literally 8 people with 1 being on Togo and nobody in line ordering). When they realized that my order had been taken, a woman who I assume was either a manager or shift lead apologized, explained the situation, and asked if I was ok to wait for them to remake the order. I said ya that's fine, no worries and waited for the order to be remade. I then took the order home, and as I'm unloading it realize I didn't receive my sandwich for one of our try two combos. So I drive back, 40 minutes after I was supposed to receive my original order, and let the girl on the register know I didn't receive my sandwich. I see her go over to get it started and tell the woman from before I didn't receive my sandwich. She looks over at me, clearly sees I'm the person who had their order taken by somebody else (I was wearing a pretty recognizable jacket) and go back to chatting with the employees as they make my sandwich. Clearly doesn't care at all about the fact I'm now waiting an extra 45 minutes to get the food I already ordered and paid for after they made another mistake. I've had issues at this location before in the past, but this was my breaking point. I know most things can be handled in house, and gave them every opportunity to resolve the issue but I was hungry and just wanted to eat my dinner not sit there and file a very obvious complaint to somebody that doesn't care. Some other things happened during the time I was waiting that as a restaurant manager rubbed me the wrong way also, but already wrote a novel obviously. I highly urge somebody in a position of authority to take a look at the poor management of this location, because I can guarantee it's losing plenty of business from other people having some of the same issues. Final note, the website needs serious improvement on the contact page. 200 characters to voice issues and comments is nothing and you aren't allowing your customers a chance to give you honest feedback.
