they let in too many people so it gets very crowded, so, dancing is a bit awkward, waiters dont come around often enough, it has many overrated reviews that talk about its decoration and vibe, truth is that it is not that original, bah.. i wouldnt recommend it.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at Cafe Paraíso in Mexico City. My friends and I waited in line for over an hour and a half, only to be denied entry while we watched as they selectively allowed predominantly white and blonde individuals, especially Americans and Europeans, to enter ahead of us. This discriminatory behavior, where Mexican patrons were largely excluded, is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise against supporting such a racist establishment. Discrimination has no place in our society, and it's important to speak out against it wherever it occurs.

I hate places like this in Mexico City where I know if I approached speaking in English, I would have no problem getting in. My friend and I (who are US-born latinas) approached speaking in Spanish and they told us we couldn’t get in without a reservation. (We were dressed nice btw) while waiting for our Uber we were close enough to overhear the interactions of several groups of Americans speaking only in English who were let inside-no questions asked. Pinches malinches. Embarrassing

I had a very disappointing experience. I came here from half way across the world (literally from Sāmoa) and know the bar manager at La Zaranda (German) and also the Manger, Octavio who were EXTREMELY NICE and recommended going to Cafe Paraíso for dancing after the upstairs bar closed. When we went to Cafe Paraíso tonight, which is part of the same company as La Zaranda (Archipielago), I was treated EXTREMELY poorly. The complete opposite from La Zaranda. We came with guys that had a reservation and they turned us away in the most humiliating way possible. Super shocking for the “high-end” Zone, Roma. The Cafe Paraíso manager, Oscar, was VERY rude. The bouncers were also very VERY rude! I have never been treated this way anywhere in the world. I would NOT recommend going to this place. They make you wait for a super long time outside in the cold, very well knowing that they will NOT let you in. I felt discriminated against and the dishonesty from the staff is superb. The neighborhood, Roma Norte, is very high end and places like these are a total disappointment. You’re better off going to places with better staff where you’re treated as an actual human being. Xoxo.

They let me skip the whole line because I am white, that's messed up. They didn't know I brought 10 International/Mexican friends and they let us all enter, but it felt off. Would not go again.

I saw this place on TikTok as top bars to go to but reading the reviews I want nothing to do with a racist and discriminatory environment. Sad that this is happening to Mexico :(

There was an enormous line to get in which led me to believe this place was worth the wait... nope. Everyone was shoulder to shoulder inside and it took over 10 minutes to just order a drink. The only thing I really enjoyed was the crowd, a lot of young people ready to party, just a bummer that the establishment itself wasn't sufficient enough to properly accommodate the crowd.
